I had a 1980 same color but with white vinyl top. Weirdly optioned. Had the digital instrumentation with power windows, vinyl seats, the TBird script above glove box did not have the light up, but it also had digital clock, no cruise control.
Hi from 🇨🇦 Canada! I *loved* my base '80 T-Bird, bought used. Perhaps most comfortable seats of my 25+ lifelong cars; overall a joy to own & drive. Only rear air circulation not great.
That's a 4.2L v8 under the hood. The v6 didn't become available until 1982. At least you can swap it out for an honest to goodness 5.0 h.o. much more easily
a Fairmont/Zephyr by any other name! Rear red brake light covers were glued on at the factory and would often fall off. About the only really good things about these were the ones with the Premium Sound Stereo systems and the bucket leather seats. The one cool feature were the digital speedometer that came with the top trim package.

my 81 was slightly modified with a 302 4bbl, the thick vinyl held up so well and the trunk was so big i could carry a lawnmower 😂
I wish Ford will it bring back the Thunderbird
Nice and clean. Looks good.

I'm not a Ford fan, but I love these early 80's T-Birds

The small v8 got 30mpg.
I have 16,000 miles on my 84 Bird. Enjoy.

Ford will never bring back this car because of the mustang. I wish they did to compete with the BMW M8 and the merc SL
Chingon
My Mother had this exact one but all her gadgets were manual
Ford designers didn't put alot of style in the 1980-82 Thunderbirds. Very square.
I haven't seen one that clean since 1983!
