I often cannot sleep, this morning I got up at 3.30 am as I was fed up with tossing and turning. At that time of day I have to do something very quiet, no running a sewing machine, no moving around, to avoid disturbing my partner. This usually means knitting or listening to vlogs on headphones and thus, today, I found your vlog. I am now up to number 5 but have finished my coffee break so will save it for afternoon tea break. Thank you for posting these. I am so delighted to find someone of my era vlogging, not that I don't enjoy watching sewists of all ages, because I think we have more experiences and concerns in common. At present I am envying you living by the sea as I live in London and long to be able to get some really fresh air. When the first lockdown was in force there was so little traffic that I could smell the flowers as I passed front gardens instead of breathing in dust and fumes. Now there seems even more traffic than before. Anyway, I digress, I meant just to say how much I enjoyed your vlogs and salute your tackling modern technology, which just throws me into a complete tizz
Thank you Barbara for your lovely comment. Am glad you’ve been enjoying my videos. I’ve surprised myself by just doing them, and even more so in managing some of the techno difficulties, so far, lol. I hope you get a break soon to visit the sea, and wish you some good nights of sleep soon, stay safe, Susan.
I downloaded this cardigan pattern a few months ago, but have not made it as yet. Yours is lovely. I have a piece of a cable patterned knit in my stash I may use for the shorter version. Again, yours is outstanding!
Thanks for saying so, and for watching Anne, no I didn’t use any interfacing, I’ve made 4 more Harper Cardigans and now make sure I pay attention to pivot at the neck as it becomes an ‘almost’ vee shape! Just to be sure! On my second one, a rust one, the band would just not meet at the back and I had to add a small piece at the nape! There’s a video detailing my method of doing all of it. Susan x
Lovely job on the Harper! I like the color and choice of fabric.
Thank you so much! I'm just a little bit addicted to it, which is how Ive ended up with five lol, Susan x
