De Hollandsche Schouwburg werd gevangenis voor een Joodse actrice in WO2

De Joodse actrice Sylvia Gross Martin was actrice in de Hollandsche Schouwburg in Amsterdam. Van de ene op de andere dag werd ze daar opgesloten. Het lukte haar te ontsnappen en ze hielp in de weken erna Joodse kinderen te ontkomen. Nu keerde ze terug met verslaggever Roelf van Til.

What happened to the theatre, was it destroyed during the war?

It's still there and it is now a museum.

The back of the building which held the theatre was demolished but the main part is now a museum.
