evertime i watch an anime similar to this, the main character always ends up with the girl i didn't want but for the first time ever, Daisuke fell for Riku! i was hoping for that since the first episode :D im so happy
Just to clear the fact I finished watching this anime more then a year ago and these 2 did not live with each other from the beginning or the end and DARK(Male), yes he is the red hair male, soon turned to dark blue hair(real DARK)did not really like the girl from the beginning or the end it's ONLY the girl that liked DARK, the girl did not know DARK was the red hair male until the end, she soon found out DARK did not like her from the beginning that's why she was crying and was finally gives up on DARK, but the red hair male did like her which shows on I think first episode. (I'm sorry if this is Spolier) ;b
Also I looked on a website right after I finished the anime and it appeared that DARK's name flipped over is actually his enemy's name KRAD! (KRAD is a white blue-ish male which is in the same school to the red hair male, white blue hair male is cold from the beginning and changed to the end but the red male hair male is sooooo warm and nice 0/////0 ) I'm sorry if I'm not saying names I forgot! Like red hair male and white blue hair male! Sorry!

I've been always ship dark with riku ever since bcs riku's image with short hairstyle suit with dark's mature face. Whila risa's image is more mature with long hair but i'm not gonna ship her with niwa either... I just ship darkxriku but since dark was only niwa's other innerself so i'm gonna ship risaxsatoshi and niwaxriku...still i'm sad dark can't be real...huhuu
