So sorry to hear about your experience on the kayak :( hope everything is alright... but anyways we think that water looks torquise!! Its soooo beautiful. Great video and we love the vibe of that island :)
At least we're OK. That's all that matters. That island is absolutely stunning, and I agree with the turquoise. But sometimes it goes dark green. It's constantly changing with the weather. Thanks for the comment!!!
Looks lush - I'm going mid December! Koh Mak Koh Kood and Koh Chang for a week each, then 3 weeks of whatever, maybe more islands Thanks for a fab vid!
@jadeandjason. - This is so surreal! My wife and I were staying at Mira Montra in December 2023. We took the exact same yellow kayak to go to koh kham. Unfortunately we never made it and the kayak tipped over in the middle of the 2 islands. Luckily we were spotted by a bartender in a nearby hotel and he rescued us in his motorboat and brought us to his hotel pier. He called Mira Montra and they ferried us back along with the kayak. We were holding on to the kayak for 30 min in the middle of the ocean, before being spotted. The experience was traumatic at the time, but we'll never forget the trip (which was otherwise very laidback and relaxed) because of this incident. To the viewers I would like to say, if you are staying at Mira Montra, avoid the yellow kayak if you want to venture into the ocean. Pick any other colour. 😅
Hi! Just watched your video of Koh Kut during rainy season (very helpful, thank you!) wanted to ask which month did you visit Koh Mak? im planning to visit first week of November but was doubting if still going to be rainy. Thank you!!!! great videos!!!
I think this one is on my top 5 list, so beautiful! Good job saving your hat Jadie😂🙈 so happy you guys are ok! Wear your life jackets!!! Good job you guys another great vlog! 💕
We where there on our honeymoon and loved it. Except for the nasty Sand flies. So bring Coconut oil and other remedies to ease the pain if you get bit by Sand Flies. The reason for their existence is that very few resorts rake the sand on the beach to disturb their eggs.
hey Jade & Jason .. just came across your channel ( and subscribed now 😀 ) . Thanks for the vid .. fantastic and glad all turned out well. Once thing that I did not get, is that you got a scooter from the hotel... but how far is the main area , ie: street food or alike. Mira Montra sounds great, but wanted to get an idea from the "isolation perspective" . cheers for that.. Stay safe and enjoy your travels .. oh..one more thing.. whats the regulation of the drone that you guys are using ? Is a license/ insurance required and can we bring a drone into Thailand - any tips appareciated
Hello, thank you for watching our video and subscribing. Mira Montra is very secluded and is about roughly 10 minute drive to the closest store but this will be the case for most beach fronts. It's a very remote island so there's not much going on and we would say a scooter is a must have on this island because it's too dark to walk around at night and everything is far from eachother. In terms for the drone you need a license, you would have to register on the NBTC website and also on the CAAT website make sure to use Google Chrome it works easier. You would also need to get insurance for your drone to complete the registration. Bringing a drone into Thailand is allowed but can only fly it once you have obtained your license. You can DM us on Instagram if you need any help during the registration process.
You mentioned that the only beachfront accommodation was only in one spot on the entire island? What was the name of it please? Really no other beach hut style accommodation right on the beach?
We had almost the same experience....with the same kayak from the same resort. :D But it's not the kayaks fault. It's just bad luck and lacking experience. Since our experience ended not as dramatic, I would do it again. :D
Hello, thank you for watching 🥰 we didn't go on a tour, we just use the kayak from the hotel😅 The journey took us around 30 minutes to get to Koh Kham.
Don't believe everything they say. The land belongs to five families who hate tourists. But they don't own the beaches. So they don't take care of them and the more washed up mess - the better for them. I simply don't recommend going there. 😛
Looks like a beauty place to visit. Another informative and enjoyable video. But that must have been a scary experience.
Thank you for watching 😁 it was definitely a traumatic experience and a lesson learnt 😅
So beautiful island 😮🤗😊👍❤️🏖🏝🌴🌊
Welcome back to Thailand 👍👏👏👏
Thank you!!! Glad to be back😁

I was there around eight years ago. Lovely little island.

Beautiful and quiet island
Was . Now the vloggers, are there watch ..
This won't attract masses of tourists because there's not much to do. As long as the locals keep it that way.
You mentioned that the only beachfront accommodation was only in one spot on the entire island? What was the name of it please? Really no other beach hut style accommodation right on the beach?
welcome to Thailand.
Thank you, happy to be here😁
Koh kham is very beautiful. Welcome to 🇹🇭

Scary moments in life😅
Are there cheap restaurants next to the road like in ko kood?
Yes of course
@@jadeandjason. cool!
Hello, how long was your kajak tour to Koh Kham? 1 hour? A half?😊
Greetings from Cologne!
Hello, thank you for watching 🥰 we didn't go on a tour, we just use the kayak from the hotel😅 The journey took us around 30 minutes to get to Koh Kham.
Hi, is it a faff to use a drone in Thailand - do you need permissions or is it fine on the small islands?
Hello, as long as you have registered with the NBTC and the CAAT you shouldn't have problems flying on small islands.
@@jadeandjason. Thanks for responding.
Do they have parking for car at pier as well if we travel from Bangkok by our own car ?
Yes every pier has a parking option for bikes and cars and it's best to travel in your own vehicle to get there before the busses😁
@@jadeandjason. : Thanks a lot for the info...!!!

One of my favorite things about going to the beach is walking barefoot on soft sand. It really gives a feeling of nature.
I couldn't agree more. What an amazing feeling 😍 what's your favourite beach?
