I remember when you guys put those planting beds in
I have client that we do maintenance on there beds and had same issue. What we did was dug out plants. Tilled everything out. Ripping out all roots. Put day Lillie's back and thinned them out. 1 or 2 weeks later sprayed anything we missed. So far it's been undercontrol. This was done last year too.
I just used roundup on my beds today. It's effective, but i should use preemergents in the spring.
I just use non selective roundup and a drift guard. Makes a world of difference in beds.
perfect timing ! my landscape beds have become weed beds , as always appreciate the informative videos !
Canadian thistle weed try those on for size lol
In Wisconsin near Lake Michigan, nothing in my beds 😊
Quackgrass is the bane of my existance too, I'm in IL near the fox river. Good luck!
I use pre emergents in my beds also. I keep my pine straw thick as well. I live in Ga. Seems to work!
Try Glyphosate + Flumigard. That will give you 6months of clear beds. Just be careful not to overspray the grass. Flumigard is a cheaper version of Sureguard (which is tooo expensive). But it has the same active ingredient. 1oz of Glyphosate + 7g of Flumigard per 1000 sqft or Gallon. That will kill everything on the ground…no worries on the steams of the bushes.
Wait a minute. If Clarendon Hills is north side of Chicago then me being in Wheaton/Carol Stream area I must be in Cheeseland. LOL. Oh, I'm fighting that grass in my flower beds as well.
🤣, I meant to cut that part out but forgot about it.
Is a systemic going to be a better option when dealing with a rhizonomus weed like Quack grass? Will glyphosate just kill the plant its sprayed on or will it spread through the rhizome and kill other plants near by as well? Would also love another video on controlling quack grass in turfgrass
👍🏻🇺🇸
Where can I get some tips for my sprayer?
Looking forward to the video when you take care of those seed stalks in the lawn this year. Curious if you take the same approach as last year.
Over the top II herbicide can often be applied over landscape bed plants and shrubs to kill weedy grasses including quack.
i used a blow torch hooked to my propane tank and burned mine out, just be careful when getting close to bushes that you want to keep, then sprayed the burned area and its been weed free for months
If I didn't have mulch and I had Rock instead, this would be my go-to non-chemical method
Glyphosate foam applicator Pete gci turf
This is the way
What type of gloves are you wearing?
is tenacity safe to use around most flowers , plants ?
Oh man, every day I pick, every couple weeks I spray
