    Dr.Kevin, Thank you very much for this crystal clear explanation about Darcy's Law and Bernoulli's equation.

    Just by him teaching
    I now understand that students with good professor like him get full understanding,excitement of hard courses which results to good grades
    We should be loving what we study but some professors make you hate what you study

      I appreciate your compliment, but I want to challenge your statement that a professor can "make you hate" what you study. Nobody can make you hate anything except yourself. Some professors are not as effective at explaining certain concepts to students, and/or some students are not as effective at learning certain concepts from professors. Please don't mistake your frustration with not understanding a concept as "my professor made me hate this." If you ever struggle to understand a concept, then get to the core of why you are not understanding it. Is it matter of poor communication from the professor? Or is it a matter of poor application on your part? Perhaps both? If you can be honest about addressing the true reason for why you are not understanding a topic, then you can "learn" to enjoy ANY topic because enjoyment comes with understanding.

      @@officehours4028 🤭 I am surprised , it’s great getting feedback from you.
      I would have too say it’s communication from professors I don’t want to blame professor for me not being able to understand the concept but it’s true.
      Am currently taking the class your teaching on you tube it took me 30 minutes to understand the concept of what you taught. If I didn’t find your lecture I would have still been lost stressed.
      And it can’t be only me
      Students would rather watch your videos than have their professors teach it again
      And even my time at college I spend time learning the materials myself it’s videos like yours that allows me to learn effectively

    Thank you Dr. Kevin for this amazing lecture. One question popped up on the last section where we need to determine the equivalent permeability is we have all layers dimensions in feet while the K's are in cm/sec. Do we need to have uniform units in this case?

    It's an very usefulvideo!!, thanks Dr. Kevin. ¿These hydraulic properties of soil under which range of temperature is valid?. Considering that a movement of a liquid is a function onf viscosity and viscosity is a function of temperature.

    just one doubt, what's the role of soil in darcy's law? will the behavior be the same if there is no soil in between and just an open pipe?

    • @robertcotner8568
      @robertcotner8568 3 роки тому +1

      Soil constricts the cross-sectional area to that of the void space, decreasing the velocity. If the pipe was open the water level in the two tanks would equalize just as it does with the soil, but much faster.
