I LOVE the sound of this!! I'm from the days of 70's stereos and those receivers with "tone" knobs!! I love that 'scooped" sound that you selected by ear (for sure). But this has WAY more control to get you the 'proper' scoop. And it just sounds very NICE overall!!! 🙂
Trivia tidbit - Blue Oyster Cult's "Don't Fear The Reaper" was tracked and mixed on the Datamix console. (As per engineer Shelly Yakus) I believe the whole Extra Terrestrial Intelligence was done on that console.

But after your excellent description of the mid-range dip, I was able to quickly move and get to sounds that I was really impressed with-- that honestly, I've struggled with using many other eqs. I was able to get some great warmth on strings and other things that are normally a bit harsh, while keeping the clarity and low end push. I also find the distortion really useful-- overall, for my needs, I'm really impressed.
Just got the SSL 4kb put it on all my channels thought things sounded pretty good…. Last night downloaded the PSP Datamix swapped out the SSL 4kb …. Let me say not even a comparison to the sonic depth that PSP brings.

it's actually really impressive, but plugin makers need to stop with the $150 per plugin standard price, with $99 intro price. it's out of hand. this should be $49
Could you consider looping a single phrase of the vocal and on each loop change the setting. Why? The vocalist has expression which changes depending on the phrase and emphasis of words. This adds another variable when trying to compare just what a plugin setting/preset does. It is also easier to have a detailed memory of the phrase or line, which makes comparison between with and without more precise.
@@EdwinDekker71 Maybe this applies to the largest MSM outlets, but anyone with more than two brain cells knows there is good investigative journalism out there. You won’t find it on TV, and most people don’t like it, since thorough investigations often reveal inconvenient truths about people’s favorite politicians or world leaders. Maybe the songwriter should turn off the TV and start reading their news instead.

The lyrics are actually pretty accurate. Most of the news is there to influence and condition people, not to inform them.
