I have been a big supporter of Iceman collectables for years. This kit they have on "pre order" right now but the price is stopping me in my tracks. As an open wheel modeler primarily, to spend that kind of money on a sedan is out of the question. I have no doubt it is a brilliant kit.
Absolutely a beautiful resin kit. Great subject '48 Cadillac. I'm sure there in limited supply and cost about one hundred dollars. I hope you have the opportunity to build this kit on your channel. Thanks for sharing.
Just subscribed. This was an awesome review on this Resin kit, thanks for show casing this manufacturer, appreciate Cheers 🍻 KC Cradle Mountain🏔 Tasmania Australia 🇦🇺 🦘🪃🏔🍻🍻
These resin kits can be nice (I've never actually heard of this manufacturer before) but the price tag is a big deterrent. In an age of 3D modelling and printing I just don't understand the lack of chassis, engine and suspension in these type of kits. For $200-300 you'd expect a lot more. Nice but no.
I hope those complaining about the price aren't holding their breath waiting for an injected molded kit of this car. US car modelers need to understand they are only a small part of the global model building market. How many new tools a year of US cars do you see coming out? Quality costs money, and this looks to be a fantastic kit. So it doesn't have an engine, no big deal, you could put one in with a little skill. But why would you destroy the beautiful lines of this car by displaying it with the hood open? Grow up, quality costs money, something airplane, armor, and ship modelers realized long ago.
With resin being as brittle as it is my fear is that the tie rod end will break when trying to fit it to the brake backing side, or will heating it in very hot/boiling water give it enough flex to get it fitted?
It's very clean but the price! $186 USD (178 Euros), and I see them on Ebay for $240. Thats insanely expensive, and with no motor. Is this typical for resin kits? If so, what's the advantage? Thanks!
Quickly looking at comments, if it's true this kit is in the $200-300 range, and has no engine, I think it would be a waste of my time to watch the video. I'm not Bill Gates with unlimited cash.
Looks like a great kit crispy clean parts with good sprue points 👍

A lovely kit.
I'm sure the price reflects that.
About $300 without chrome.... YOU do that.

$186.
Thank you! Let there be a build, and very soon. )))
Beautiful kit of a beautiful car. I just wish they wouldn't always avoid the engines.

That caddy is nice , but the $240.00 price is something

Agree. Needs to be a complete kit and better price 👍
I'm with you. I like them, but for what you get, the price is too much for me.

Beautiful model, but my jaw hit the floor when I saw the price!

Thank you! The model will be assembled soon, I can assure you that all the parts are very strong.
@@a.n.models I find it best to remove the parts with a solider iron, melts right thru and you can control the heat with a trigger style.
Amazing, very detailed, but is it resin or styrene?
Thank you! It's resin.

There really isn't one in my opinion.
Cool! But how do you get the chrome on the respective parts?
I can't speak for this guy, but I use a chrome pen. They come in different sizes and I think it works great.
Thank you! A little later I will post the assembly process, and show how I make chrome.
@@a.n.models Thanks in advance.

Hi! The kit costs $180.
@@a.n.models that's still a "Bill Gates price" for someone with unlimited money
