The day has finally arrived! We’re starting the long process of making my grandmother’s lasagna. First up: Bolognese!
I make this recipe a few days in advance because it needs those couple days to sit and really soak up all the flavor. This recipe is long but so worth it!

♥ I respect you for not sharing Grandma's recipe. As soon as I saw you pulverize the onion, I knew this was going to be good. When I make Bolognese, I brown the meat first, then remove from the pan. I then simmer the veg and combine when veg is soft. I make a modified version weekly since I went low carb. I have no problem skipping the pasta, it's delicious and I approve of the bacon. YUM!

That bolognese looked SO good! I have honestly never thought of blitzing the veggies like that. It makes sense, so why not? Oh, and everything is better with bacon 🥓 so don’t apologise for that. 😆

Hi Justin, My father was born in Messina, Sicily. So, I'm 1st generation in the US. I was cooking by the time I could stand on a stool to reach the stove and counter top. With supervision, of course. Our Bolognese is a little different than what I saw of yours. We always used red wine. And if you wouldn't drink it, you didn't cook with it. But, that's the beauty of cooking. Individually is part of the recipe. And we both add 1 of the most important ingredients, Love. Your"s looks deliciouso! I'm totally enjoying your Vlogmas. ❤🤗🎄
