- Finally out of the break-in period. I doubt this will be very helpful to most folks but I just wanted to make a quick video showing how I change the oil. I also wanted to mention the Yamalube advantage as it is a warranty that is not advertised much. You do have to document your oil changes on their website.

Nice side step on removing the oil filter. That mother
Good video. Thanks
Cool, mane! Right on. I went with Amsoil and a K&N filter I found. '19 SE here w/ bout 1400 miles 🤟🤟 Love these Grizzlies so much, dude
🔥💨🍺🦾💯🐻
Yeah I normally go with amsoil, just sticking with Yamalube for the warranty. I love the blue color of the 19 grizz.
Just a tip you want to clean your quad before you do a service so you don’t get dirt inside your engine.
Oh I know, I thought I mentioned that, maybe not. Yeah it just didn’t time out that way.
How did the synthetic work out? My dealer told me not to use it since my 22 didn’t come with the yamalube full synthetic. Running alright? Was debating the gold vs the regular yamalube blend in the black bottle
I think it is odd for a dealer to say that. Mine is running great and I know many others that only use synthetics with no issues. I have only run synthetic in all of the ATVs I have owned. When checking the dipstick it still has a nice light translucent color.
@@chasintrail great to know. I’ll keep it as planned then. Thanks for the info
Hey, I just picked up a 2023 kodiak 700 se and asked the dealer about the yamalube warranty and they said I didn’t have to register or sign up for it. Just that I need to keep copies of my receipts. Did you have to do anything for it?
Yeah just the receipt and date changed. They recently shut down the part of their site where you could upload each oil change.
Oh and grats!
Thanks for the info!
dont forget to grease your back wheel on each side there fitting
The Yamalube warranty reads " protecting registered customer vehicle’s internal engine parts from failure due to faulty engine oil" This is not a engine warranty but only covers a VERY specific failure. When was the last time you heard of a engine failure due to faulty engine oil? Yamalube is counting on people not reading the fine print to sell their oil
Yeah I saw that. In many cases it would be hard to prove that is was or wasn’t due to engine oil anyhow.
