People have always doubted her and Venus. When Serena struggled with injuries and depression between 2004-2007, some said she was a lost cause, and would never get to the top again. When she lost in the 2012 French Open 1st round, some said she would never win a slam again, but she won 10 more. The only time they didn't doubt her was when she came back from child birth, but unfortunately she couldn't win a slam. Am beginning to wish people doubted her during that time, maybe it would have pushed her to do better in the slam finals after she gave birth. Serena and Djokovic seem to enjoy proving doubters wrong a lot. I feel they struggle when people begin to show them so much love. They thrive when the crowd is against them. I really enjoyed this run. The match with Sharapova was very high quality especially the 2nd set. Lucie Safarova was also very brave in the French Open finals. It was a quality match as well.
