Out of all the tip and guide video I’ve seen so far, this is by far the best one xD you don’t know how many time I ran out of ammo in the intercept battle. Now I can maximize the fire rate without worrying about the ammo
Put in the 3rd gun you use right before switching to your main DPS gun and also equip the gold mod (forget the name) that gives you weapon swap speed and a big defense buff when swapping out. I also recommend doing this with an SMG for the movement speed while you're running around collecting ammo. Run around collecting ammo and then switch back to your DPS gun with a big defense boost to tank some damage while you DPS.
After watching this I IMMEDIATELY farmed the mods and they're nearly maxed. From 400 to 711 rounds so far and it's a game changer, you earned a like and sub ❤
To get infinity ammo. Just triple deep. Use 2 reserve gun, one to convert special round, another to conver impact round. Now you dont have to worry about ammo anymore.

If you had add icing on the cake, use swap weapon mods too to get back to your main gun faster. There's an Ultra one that gives you DEF for 5 sec and faster weapon swapping.
This makes a lot of sense. Valuable for solo bossing. Not sure how useful in more open world missions and I’ve never run out of ammo there. Saving time running around vs a boss tho… I’ll be trying this next play session.
After testing this trick i can say that this helps with AMMO CAPACITY but not with REFILLING UR General ammo from Impact bricks , because u can hold a LIMITED ammount of IMPACT rounds which means U WONT PICK UP Impact bricks once they are full ----> NO AMMO is converted to general rounds -----> AMMO CONVERSION is a waste of slot. You might need to pick an IMPACT weapon and waste some ammo so u can pick up IMPACT -----> convert into General , UNLESS Ammo conversion bypasses the IMPACT ammo cap and it straight up converts into General (which i dont think it works personally). In short u only need the CAPACITY mods to have a bigger pool of ammo to help u stay in the fight till u get a general brick.

Can anyone else confirm this is working since the recent patch? In my brief testing, my max ammo appeared the same weather i had the 2nd weapon of the same ammo eqipped or not. Im wondering if some other mods might be cancelling it out.
If you have 3 general rounds guns and your 2nd gun has impact round conversion & your 3rd gun has Special round conversion that's 2 guns picking up 2 different ammo types for your 1st gun that you primarily use so guns that use less ammo have more ammo
Also having two non-heavy weapons of the same ammo type makes perfect sense since ideally you're investing all of your resources into one gun, making it as strong as possible. This just allows you to funnel more food to your main gun, so I think this is the way to go.

Very helpful video. Just wanted to mention somethings i'd noticed coming from a Destiny background which may or may not be useful for some. 1. Your Ammo reserves are constantly active; even when you don't have a certain Ammo type equipped you will still be able to pick up and hold max of that Ammo. 2. you can utilise a module loadout slot on a weapon specifically for ammo recovery and then switch back to preferred and maintain all bonus Ammo, dying reverts back to normal Ammo cap. 3. You can have a weapon dedicated to being Ammo recovery and then just equip, pick up bonus Ammo, then switch back to normal. You will not lose any Ammo and maintain the bonus. 4. After gaining bonus Ammo, you can unequip the weapon benefiting from the extra Ammo and switch to a different Ammo or gun type entirely and the bonus reserves don't disappear.
Just so I understand this right: I can use General Rounds weapon slot 1 for DPS, and General Rounds weapon slot 2 for max ammo (like in the video). And even with weapon 1 capping at 400 rounds, using weapon 2 to hit 800+ means weapon 1 will STILL have 800+ ammo anyway while being fully built for DPS?
@@DozenMarks no they are talking about ammo for different types, so if you for example have 2x general round and 1 heavy round weapon you can switch to either orange or green ammo weapons and still have ammo for them since your character still picks up the ammo without having the corresponding ammo type equipped
@DozenMarks sorry for the delay, if I'm understanding right you're asking if the slot 1 dps benefits from the extra reserves from slot 2's pickups? If so then yes, as long as they're the same Ammo type, after using slot 2 to technically over cap reserves, slot 1 has access to those same reserves
So there’s an additional hack to this not really a hack, but more so something built into the game. So when you get to every outpost, there’s a little ammo that’s in the main outpost area when you start a boss fight that little bot is at the very beginning where you start to fight at where you first come into the area there’s one of those little box there, so if you ever run out of ammo and nothing else can always run back to the start and reload from the bot
I'd gotten myself the Special-to-High Power round conversion mod. I never thought to combine the spare capacity and conversion mods like this. Since I mostly use Thunder Cage and a Launcher, with the last slot being filled with something to make use of other ammo types... I might just swap to this setup once I get the mods ranked up and abuse the heck out of Impact-to-General like this, since the Thunder Cage is a damn fine weapon for being given out basically for nothing. And even upgrading it to the max isn't THAT hard, even before completing the campaign.
You know, just thought of a thing to improve this too. Since all you're doing with it is swapping to it and swapping back, putting the better weight mod on for betting swapping speed wouldn't be a bad idea.
I figured this out myself early on but it immediately became pointless with gley, and gley isn't even the strongest bosser apparently. It's a decent trick for the early progression when you have nothing whatsoever though.

You still have to switch to that gun to get the conversion, you are sacrificing a weapon to double up on another. Nothing exploitative.

Just don't forget that in a mission or boss fight, this little resupply boy has a CD on using it (timer above its head).
You can only use it once, it has a time limit. Unless you die, you can't use it again since the timer is too long

The problem with this method is not being able to equip a 3rd gun to use. You also need to have your special ammo gun needing ammo.
I run only guns with general rounds so if you do run other types it is difficulty
i just play enzo xD and be gucci with infnite ammo for all types
