Good production and I'm not on that level myself, but there's just something that says "beginner melody" when I listen to it. 😅 The up/down the scale at the end of every 2nd bar sounds like something I created when I started out and everyone told me I was a "beginner". But as always, lot's to take away from this tutorial. Well explained and great to see all aspects of a full track covered. 👍🏼
Some people dont seem to get it. To make a track successful, you dont have to create the most complex melodies. In fact, most listeners wont be that much into music theory and will remember a simple, more repetitive melody a lot better than a complex one with many twists and turns. Just look at some of the most successful EDM Tracks out there and pay attention to the leads. And btw great production bud 🔥
One of the most useful videos on UA-cam. It's fun to see how you know the things that I don't know, and how you don't know the things that I know. You can create automations of green lights on the mixer channel, it's decisive and more guaranteed if you make any mistake in the mixing automation. And the most important little thing, and also which made you lose lots of time in total, copying chords. You don't need to get into the piano roll, you can copy through pattern, make sure the track on the pattern be selected, and just ctrl + c and select the other track and ctrl + v, without getting into piano roll. This phase is also practical for erasing chords, just ctrl + x while you're on the pattern and don't paste anywhere. It's a paradox that you're using shortcuts on your keyboards while you're creating melodies but while you're in the pattern and arrangement parts you're always using mouse. So I told you the thing about pattern, and the other is you already know it's ctrl+alt+z for taking back and back mistakes. But you preferred to use the click above, it's ok but as for the pattern, it's better to do what I've just told you. Anyway, very good video, it's good to see what other producers doing out there. Thanks for sharing, wish you best!
I have followed up as many tutorials but never come in contact such an amazing tutorial. As African who didn't in such a milieu where you get such access. I recommend this to every EDM noob out there. [Bro 5 stars]
2:32 Smooth AF.. Is there an imaginary piano in your head running already cuz there's no mistake to be corrected after you've selected those *impressive* notes!
In 1 h and 30 minutes I finish full tracks when I get inspiration and concentration. What I should do when I don't have inspiration.Should I listen to other songs, read books or be outside to get inspiration for music and poetry ?
Really amazing work man. It´s clear to see that you know what you do and why. Go on like that! Do you think you could do a challange what I´ve seen by German producers on UA-cam: the BEAThoven-Challange. You try to produce a beat deaf, without hearing something :) Would be really interesting, funny and amazing. Best wishes from Austria! Sorry for my English ;)
Hey Severman. I have a question about Nexus VST plugin - is the "Starter" version enough to make good progressive house song? I see there are some cool lead presets like those used by you in your song that I want to use for my drop and I don't know if they are there in this the cheapest version. Could you give me some advice?
Yeah absolutely. You don't even need Nexus at all. LIke sure it will help, even if it's "just" the starter version, but at the end it just comes down to practising a lot. No matter what plugins you're using
Why do you have to use Nexus and Spire always haha 😅🤦♂ Do you recommend purchasing them? Or I can just go with Sylenth1 and FLEX for the leads, chords and basses?
Best track in 1 hour than me in 2 years. Your leads sound selection is world class.
😂
Appreciate it 😀🔥
Amazing job
Thx 💙💙
Ey!!! What's up!!! You are also here!

Good result at the end! You really need to sort your samples😅
Great job!
What pack do you use for progressive house? I have several, but can't find any of those types of impacts or downshifters for the drop D:

What kind of chords u usually use for any vocal
Whatever progression I feel like works with the vocals
severman making full progressive house in an hour, while me is still trying to figure out what kick should i use.
Meanwhile me trying to figure out what a kick even is
Very2 nice!!❤
I feel like it needs more diversity on the drop lead melody :)
Yeah could have added more variation 👍
🔥🔥🔥🔥
