    Okay. I have to disagree with Optimus. How tf is the streamer not taking 100% of the blame here? He ASKED and got a response he didn't want. It's not like someone came in and just stated "My mom died". They were ASKED how they were.
    It's 100% the streamers fault. To the person who lost your relative, I hope that this streamer's response didn't affect you too much.

      @@insidious6068 the point of your comment was that the stream was to blame, no?
      I was just point out that optimism tried to use the trauma dumping route to removing some blame from the streamer. I used an example of one of Optimus’s previous videos to show the hypocrisy of one individual being able to vent while another cannot. Sorry if that still didn’t make sense.

    • @Percival7116
      @Percival7116 2 роки тому +45

      I think you missed the point of this video. Optimus just said that people shouldn’t trauma dump to a streamer. Explaining “my mom just died and I haven’t been doing well, so that’s why I haven’t been around” is not trauma dumping. That’s literally just explaining the reason she hadn’t been around, not going into unnecessary depth about how depressed and in grief she and her family are about her mother’s passing. There’s a HUGE difference there that you’re completely overlooking and misinterpreting. Optimus is directly blaming the streamer, but he’s also pointing out that saying stuff like “my dog died and I’ve been so depressed, been thinking about killing myself because of it” is not appropriate to say and is something you should bring up to a properly licensed and trained therapist, not to a random Twitch chat.

    • @kolossis8283
      @kolossis8283 2 роки тому +12

      Yeah. I know Optimus is trying to be neutral at this situation, but there are times that you just need to pick a side. The twitch comment section is public, of course expect people to drop random stories which is also not related to the topic. The streamer clearly didn't know how to handle the situation well.

    Optimus, I'm glad you covered this, but you blaming her for anything to me is just dumb, he is 100% in the wrong and she didn't trauma dump, she simply answered the question and got berated for it.

    He said he asked how she was, not why she was gone. He literally said "where have you been?". Lol that is NOT "how are you doing?"

    That's pretty tame telling someone that a family member of yours passed away compared to this supposed trauma dumping.

    If you think that's bad, DSPgaming is infamous for guilt tripping and heckling his audience into giving him money (and he asks for money endlessly)

    I hate people who say the only acceptable answer to the question "how are you" is "good". Like I'm expected to say I'm doing good after getting shot or something.

    That streamer just showed the entire world how truly devoid of any sense of decency he is. I've seen some dirtbags in my time but this streamer easily tops the list. If I never see him again in life it will be too soon.

    So in other countries like Spain if you ask them how they are they will really tell you but in the US we think that’s weird

    This brainless, insensitive streamer shamed this poor woman for simply answering a question, she wasn’t trauma dumping. He demands that no one talk about “bummer” subject matters on his stream and then proceeds to rant about ONLY that, wasting his own time and everyone else’s time. He could’ve briefly given his condolences and moved on, but no. It made too much sense for him.

    Even if he didn't want to talk about he (and not counting "not engaging" because he didn't know that beforehand), he could have just said "I'm sorry about that" and let the topic die on it's own. Even giving him the benefit of the doubt (solely for the sake of playing devil's advocate), he still handled that terribly.

    This is why twist streamer should stop asking people about their day, just simply say "welcome back" or something along them lines. So things like this can be avoided.

    "Where have you been? (That is not negative and if negative you should be as vague as possible and not explain why and how you are feeling)"
    Bruh, the way he asked that question was like asking an old-time friend how they have been, and she probably have felt comfortable enough to be open about the situation, but the way he shat on her situation was not needed, also I don't know this streamer and their community, but that moderator didn't help the case at all kinda d¡crider-ish
