Ugarte initially and then rotate and start whoever is in the best form. Casemiro will have to play second fiddle if he can’t be sold and Ten Hag doesn’t pick him.

United have treated Amrabat like a leper -awful - when he signed on loan he had turned clubs down to make the move and when he got the move Ten Hag played him out of position - the last 2 months he was crucial in filling the cdm role - he's the only player that understood the role - it's disgraceful.

We should go for Ugarte still. If we want to compete with the likes of ManCity, Liverpool and Arsenal we need to have squad depth and quality on the bench.
The ability to manage these players and make everyone feel happy, important and like they are actually contributing to the team even when not playing is one of the qualities of a top manager.
In order to get the best out of his players TenHag needs to learn to rotate his players and not run them into the ground like he did with Martinez in his first season resulting in such a horrendous second season for Martinez.
TenHag needs to learn that the Premier League is not the Eredivise. The presence of Ruud should help TenHag grasp the concept of managing a top team.
So Maguire, Casemiro and Sancho are not going anywhere, which is frustrating as we need them to go to bring in other players

Including Youth players in their first year when speaking about available players isn’t the right way to go.
Using Saudi as an option to offload aged players has somewhat come to an end. They’ve changed their approach to that stuff. Not Casemiro’s fault.
Given that Amrabat hasn’t been actually re-signed(re-Loaned), presently we only have Casemiro as a senior CDM. So yes United should bring in Ugarte or another CDM type, rotation meaning, both fighting/pushing each other for starting roles, but both obviously getting game time. The youth player, whom may or not be ready for first team football, would get minutes as a bonus only. Never to be relied upon as an option in any position. Too much pressure.
Scott &Maguire should be sold (Keeping Lider) who I think at least fits better than Maguire. Scott leaving would give united the ability to fund another No8 option to improve the midfield.
This transfer window is no better than 3/10. No better than anything in the past 10 years

What no one is picking up on is UTD are trying to do a city and have 2 options in all positions and rotate more this season.
Ineos will not budge much on prices otherwise they’ve lose the new credibility they’ve gained for being tougher in transfers than previous regime.
Yes even if we are keeping Case we should buy Uguarte. Its not about depth but it is about succession planning. Ok Case looks good now, but will that last all season? How many seasons does he have left? Have the replacement in place learning and ready for when Case goes. Plan ahead instead of being reactionary. Cant put a price on that 😊
They could be working on selling some of the Academy players that are not going to make it, also there is Hannibal, Pellistri to go too, so that would be more money to come in

With these new kids, Collyer, Amass, Obi Martin coming through I am really reluctant to spend a lot of money on a long contracts. This will inhibit development of these players. We need a CB because there is nobody obvious coming through but for now, as a CDM I would buy Amrabat as cover for Casemiro and use Collyer, who has looked really solid, as a sub. Keep our money in the back pocket in case a real bargain comes up. If we pay big money for Ugarte, who is good but not great, we will show the world that the United Tax still applies.
Casemiro not leaving making it very difficult to bring in Urgate who isn't cheap.
