- Karen Read's attorneys on Tuesday tried to create doubt in the minds of jurors that she ran over her boyfriend, killing him.
The Mansfield woman is on trial for second-degree murder in Norfolk County Superior Court in the death of John O'Keefe, who was a Boston police officer. His body was found in the snow.
The jury heard testimony Tuesday from two police officers and two firefighters who described their interactions with Read.

The defense team essentially testified in this case. Alot of their "questions" weren't meant to be answered, they were intended to get out Karen's truth.

A official writ / complaint to the Massachusetts Commission on Judicial Conduct. The judge should be formally investigated regarding her conflict of interest. Half of that town should be in prison. Twenty alcoholics simultaneously detoxing while in custody would make a great Netflix documentary.

I believe in KR’s innocence but even if she was guilty, there’s something very very very blatantly corrupt coming into light over the course of this misguided investigation.
Amazing how things in darkness come to light. Canton grossly overestimated their perceived power and it’s quite shocking. And terrifying.
I don't know if KR said "I hit him, I hit him" or not, but in my opinion, if she hit him on purpose and left him to die, she wouldn't have said that. At that point, she probably thought she might've hit him on accident without realizing it. I think that was the whole plan....to make her think she did hit him. They thought she'd take a plea for manslaughter and it would be done with. When she didn't go along with that, they charged her with murder.

This case could be held in a different town due the law enforcement, judges relationships town friendships ect
I used to dream of emigrating to the USA. No problem as a Swiss citizen. But: the US system (court) makes me uncomfortable. If you don't have the money to hire really capable and preferably prominent defense lawyers, then I'd rather keep my feet in Europe.
I think the systems overwhelmed with too much crime. Not enough competent people exist to be good police, attorneys, and administration.
Thats just one reason not to come here. There are PLENTY more.
I'm in Europe too. Although this is truly sickening, the good thing about the USA is that freedom of speech is second to none in the world and it's people know how to use it, as all these youtube videos are testimony to, which gives hope to it's people. Look at the scrutiny that even the judge is rightfully being subject to! Life is not perfect in Europe either. Money and power is dirty wherever one is on this planet!

The judge is “Auntie Bev” to the Albert children. She has close ties to the officers involved in particularly the Alberts who owned the home where John O’Keef was murdered, likely by one of the officers or Collin Albert.

Its bad enough to lose a prescious loved onein such awful circumstances and then to be on trial for his murder or manslaughter as Karen is and for hisnparents and Karen tonknow that there wasnt even a proper police investigation, reporting or search to find vital evidence of who murdered their prescious son and boyfriend. Discraceful. Does defense get unlimited time questioning witnesses?
Not necessarily. Cross examination is usually limited to questioning only on issues that were brought up in direct examination and if the judge finds the questions as “going nowhere” or being drawn out they have the discretion to wrap it up. The questioning is usually single-subject and requires yes or no answers and it shouldn’t last too long, but there isnt necessarily a time limit

This judge needs to shut her damn microphone off when she is not sustaining every objection for prosecution. I’m trying to listen to trial and every other defense question I can hear her COPD sighs throughout whole damn testimony.
It is odd that Reid who supposedly gave mouth to mouth resuscitation to O’Keefe would scream “ is that my boyfriend?” repeatedly, after she had already attempted to resuscitate him. She must have known it was him when she did mouth to mouth! Also if Reid had blood on her face from attempted resuscitation, odd the officer would not have noticed blood on the snow when he helped lift the body onto the ambulance board. The question about whether he wore a jacket or a hoodie, was he found wearing the same clothes he left the bar with? Did they find his shoe? Officer stated Reid left the scene and returned. Where did she go? Curious why the police did not question home residents to see if they saw or heard anything that happened on their lawn or if the victim was a resident or visitor of their household. One would think the homeowner would be out there looking at the scene.

A man was found deceased on Brian Albert's lawn, and NOBODY in his home at the time was ever investigated. The home was never SEARCHED. Trooper Proctor's text messages to friends revealed that the Alberts _wouldn't be investigated_ because Brian was "a Boston cop." The corruption has been *_displayed on a silver platter_*
What do you think is better for the Boston Police Department - having John O’Keefe’s killer be a highly respected fellow officer who appeared on TV shows & solved the Boston Strangler mystery, or having it be the "drunken girlfriend?"
Who'd be better at getting a body from his house to the lawn w/o being noticed than Brian Albert, a Boston PD "surveillance expert?" He knew he could use his family connections w/ the Canton & State Police to keep them from asking him probing questions, taking pictures of his face/hands, or doing any investigation into his family. He knew police would normally search his house, which is likely why he made phone calls that night at 2am - to make sure it never happened. He could have disproved that by handing over his phone, but he _destroyed it after being court-ordered not to!_
Witness Katie McLaughlin (a Canton Firefighter/Paramedic) graduated from Canton High w/ Caitlin Albert in 2014. When the Defense brought up photos of McLaughlin socializing & being in the same friend group w/ Caitlin Albert, DA Lally objected to the jury seeing those photos. Judge Cannone sustained.
This jury is being deprived of any knowledge & evidence of the many ways in which the Alberts had their hands in this investigation. *Kevin Albert, Brian Albert's brother, arranged Katie McLaughlin's interview* w/ MSP Trooper Proctor _AFTER_ Canton PD was expelled & Massachusetts State Police was assigned to investigate instead (due to a _conflict of interest_ with Kevin & Brian's relationship). Kevin was conflicted out & then spoke to the witness - which could be called "witness tampering!"
This is the _ONLY_ witness who claims to have heard Karen say she hit John, and she happens to be biased - yet the judge doesn't want the jury to know that! In fact, she prevented them from knowing it, and they must instead infer the truth solely from Jackson's unanswered questions of McLaughlin as to who arranged her police interview. This is a violation of Karen Read's rights & prohibitive of a fair trial.

I have never witnessed individuals who are connected to the EMS services, dispatch discrepancies, this individual who seems so complacent & indifferent regarding detail of documentation (a critical record of accurate time logs, appropriate location) yet he is unconcerned. OMG 😧😮😮 Watching this from Australia 🇦🇺 I had seen some of it on Christina Randall’s IG and could not believe what I was hearing. Now that I am watching the trial I cannot believe that SOOOOOOOO much was wrong and overlooked. They didn’t even put up any crime scene tape. Nobody was asked for statements. The Alberts had 2 Police Cruisers and a Firefighter truck on their front lawn and nobody came out to see what was happening ? The first police officer didn’t notice Karen had blood all over her face from giving John mouth to mouth and he also didn’t notice the horrible scratches all down John’s arm. Everything in the Police log was wrong. The times and the address. This is just terrible and I can’t imagine that Karen is on trial for murder and I have never heard of so much misinformation and wrongful handling ever. I thought Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s case was terrible but this one takes the cake ~ without saying it looks like a bad cover up.
After this the defendant will be acquitted … justice out the door …
