It's a such a pleasure to 'waste' 1 hour of my every Sunday to traveling with you, Robert. I'm a enthusiastic of American Culture and history. Thank you so much...
My dad used to take us kids camping when I was a child. My last camping trip with my dad was sept 2018 to the Olympic peninsula. He was pretty full of cancer but we had a nice time and saw lots of the lush beauty of that region. Last time I had been there was the summer of 1973. You are bringing back lots of memories for me seeing this part of the world again.
We are retired here in Port Angeles, after years of working in Seattle. We love the Peninsula. Hurricane Ridge is one of our favorite retreats, under an hour from our driveway. If you go beyond the visitor area, the road will take you to a picnic spot with the same amazing views with hardly any people. We go there, passing through a full parking lot like you did, only to find ourselves alone at the quite picnic area just a little way on down the road. It's great to see your reaction to this area through new eyes. It truly is an amazing, 'lush' area. Thanks for visiting. Happy travels.
What a nice treat, a Washington video to go with our Sunday morning breakfast! We enjoyed it immensely. Maybe we'll run into you somewhere on the road, being OTR truckers and all, that would be nice. Until then safe travels, Robert. 😊
YOU BOUGHT A LOT OF EMOTION TO MY SOUL...WHEN YOU SAID THE END OF THE LAND..AND THAT THIS WAS THE FURTHEST POINT WEST IN THE CONTINENTAL USA...THEN YOUR MUSIC DRIVING TO THE EAST..I BEEN GONE TO LONG...JUST EXCEPTIONAL..LOVED IT ALL...THANK YOU ROBERTO FOR THIS EMOTIONAL MOMENT.
Being home grown California and West Coast, when I lived in Florida, I really missed the mountains. When my late husband came to Cali, he saw what I meant. I see Roberto, you appreciated them as well. Sometimes clouds in Florida gave the appearance of mountains. Just my imagination! Florida has it's own type of beauty. Now I miss Florida. Saludos a Ileana. Really enjoy your videos.
New subscriber! I don't know your age Robert, but when you hit 62 you can buy a lifetime senior national park pass for $80. I got in on the last of the $10 lifetime passes when I turned 62!👍 I've lived all of my life in Western Washington, including 17 years up on the North Shore of Lake Quinault within the Olympic National Park boundaries, and I am embarrassed to say I have never been up to Hurricane Ridge. I definitely am heading up there with my kids and grandkids as soon as we can travel freely again. I love your videos and have a lot of catching up to do. Stay safe, stay healthy!
Years ago I went to the Olympic National Park it was so beautiful, I went to The Hoh Rainforest, stayed at Kalaloch Lodge, and at Lake Quinalt, there was a lodge there. You would've loved the Hoh Rainforest!
Love seeing my home state's more remote areas showcased, Robert! That shell on the beach at 17:12 is a Pacific Razor Clam. Those things are enormous and delicious.
Thank you Robert for taking the time to share your journeys and the art of your editting and music. Its always a pleasure to spend my sundays with you.
We’ll be making a very similar trip from the east coast in a couple of years! So thank you for sharing your experiences with us. It’s a great reference. We really love when you include the dates in the video too! Your the best!
Hi Robert, I shared this on Facebook for my family and friends that live in the Olympic Peninsula. My mom lives in Sequim, I've visited family there ad even lived there and taught violin there. I spent many afternoon walking the John Wayne Marina, have been up to Hurricane ridge many. many times, once even at night! Such a really beautiful place! Next you go on the Coho ferry to Victoria, I spent my birthday a few years ago doing that day trip. So much fun to watch your videos in this region. And I admit, I have a bit of homesickness watching this. My sister lives blocks from where you filmed in downtown PA. Thanks again so much!
This is the second time I watch this series, I love these coastal video's especially. It makes me daydream of travelling the USA again. One of these days!
Your videos are top-notch...so much more well put together than the average "traveler's" video. Your narration is both informative and entertaining, and the footage you feature really makes the viewer feel as if he/she are right there with you. My wife and I thank you for so many hours of escapism through your eyes; and keep up the good work!
Hello Traveling Robert! Really enjoyed traveling with you through the Olympic Peninsula. I'm from a place that you have visited, Rhode Island! I have also drivin from Rhode Island all the way to Seattle and all of the Olympic Peninsula by way of the central route through Colorado, Utah, and the spectacular Columbia River Gorge! On the way back we drove the northern route through Mt Rainer, Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, The Black Hills region, Badlands National Park, Chicago and back home. I'm really looking forward to your day trip to Victoria, British Columbia, Canada and driving to the east all the way back to Miami. Such an epic trip your taking! Great video Robert!
You must be very popular with UA-cam, as they threw in ads every 2-3 minutes for the entire hour, but as many as 4 minutes apart towards the end, sometimes two in a row, some you couldn't opt out of. But thank you for the adventure. You're very entertaining. It's almost like I'm sitting beside you in your car. I was born in Seattle and lived in Spokane, but saw very little of either in my youth. But I love to visit the state virtually, at least the western portion of it where all the real beauty seems to reside, at least what I consider real beauty. This is the second time I've ridden with you. I forget where the first was. LOL
UK 14.9.20. Roberts Travels. We already praised this series and Roberts talents so can feel happy making a couple comments hopefully without causing resentment. On part of the Washington trip Robert said as far as we can remember that the first Europeans landed near to Seattle or some place like that. I thought that City was West Coast and the immigrants landed at East Coast. Robert added that they landed in 1860s but by that time the US was well organized as the first Europeans who started killed the natives landed in the 1600s. Most of those early opportunists or victims died thro hardship cos they were landed at wrong places.. SAw Roberts Cities in that area and hopefully I wont ever have to go there. Was disappointed not to be introduced his wife who flew to that area. Also cant understand while theres almost no chats with people in the various areas. Was not at all surprised to see people sleeping on the pavements whilst all round them are multi million dollar businesses and high rises and yachts and expensive stat ues etc. Thats what Einstein described as "The public's determined collective suppression of conscience".Me I am lookin for a job- Im aggressive. tell lies. assault females. use illegal immigrants to build towers. build Casinos. Nearl forgot the handwriting shows same signs as was the custom in 1933-45 Germany. I wanna start at the top. Any offers. Mind yo the prison sizes are going to be alarming. 1000pp evidence crrptn we gathered in UK was responded to by BBC like this- "Hide the documents abroad". Do you reckon thats why the US Security in UK offered to kill us and the Embassy offered violence. Has the police attacks got any connection. How about the press, health, media,HMGovt close out we are experiencing. Someones scared.
I just found your videos, and I am enjoying them (and you ) quite a lot. I went to Cape Flattery many years ago. I wanted to stand on the northwest tip of the contiguous 48 states. But I wasn't as lucky as you with the weather. It POURED rain on the day I was there. But I had gone all the way out there from the east coast, so nothing was going to stop me from getting to the tip. Even in the rain though, it was beautiful.
Wow Robert you out did yourself on this video. I love how u always what to get a better view. Your videos are like a mini movie you have excitement, thrills, suspends and even love scenes too. You truly have a love for traveling. As always thank you looking forward to the next video.😍
You can drive on the beaches in Ocean Shores where permitted. Many vehicles get stuck too. Glad you made it up in my part of the country. The beaches can be cold even in the summer here. Oh AT&T is terrible in Washington. I had to switch to Verizon to have service.
Goooood morning Robert! Thank you for another great video. It has been nice seeing the different places on your trip. Have a great day. You and your family are always in our prayers. Fly pelican, fly! 🌴👍😎
Loved it! I agree with you, I'm one that loves the mountains. If you are every here in Utah, I can set you up with some great mountains. And tour guide if wanted. Take care, Bill
Awesome Video footage from the Great Northwest!...I am a local here in Western Washington and you showed me spots I have never seen before...I Thank You for that.
Since I have lived in the Pacific Northwest all my life, you gave me a chuckle at your comment of " I have not seen so many trees...ever"! Love it! So enjoy your travels, thanks for sharing!!
Have to add my ‘Thank You ‘ Robert, to all the other nice comments that have been left. Truly appreciate your hard work putting these fine videos together. So easy and enjoyable to view. Looking forward to seeing more of your adventures, and for now, - as always stay strong, safe and sure.
Since a few months my husband and I have been following you here on UA-cam. We live in the Netherlands but love America very much. We have also been to America a few times on vacation. We really enjoy watching your videos and getting inspired for the next trip. Thank you for your beautiful road trip movies.
amazing ! You photo journalism is such a high quality you make me want to visit nearly evey stop you make. Thank you for taking us along on you journeys
Robert... You sure OUT DID YOURSELF, in the video .... FANTASTIC footage of the area !!!! The mountain scenery, the wildlife roaming among the tourists ..... AWESOME job, sir .... We "Thank you" for the QUALITY that you put into each and every episode of your journey :) :) :)
Raised here in Washington state....in the 1960's our youth group had the great fortune to hike up the Hoh River trail all the way to Elk Lake. We made it to Mount Olympus where we were able to walk carefully onto the Blue Glacier!! The Olympic National Park is fabulous!!
The best part of the Olympics is having to hike to see anything worth seeing. Hurricane ridge is about the only thing you can drive to. Everything you can see from Hurricane ridge, you have to hike to get to.
The Western states are beautiful! I lived in CA for a long time and it’s amazing. So much to do and see. Desert, mountains, and ocean! I really like the ocean but I love the desert and mountains just as much.
You do have mountains in Florida...the largest one being Mt Trashmore! At least that's what all the landfills were affectionately called when I lived there.
We are doing a 3 month RV trip from our home base north of Tampa. Your videos will be the perfect template for travelling out West. Thank you so very much Robert! Your videos are done with class and taste.
I'm very familiar with the area as my family lives there, though I live in the Northeast. Your photography is always wonderful. Last time I was at the Hurricane Ridge lookout, there was snow on the ground and no animals around. Then the mountains take on a frostier appearance. It's after all farther north than Maine. BTW, I wonder how many other people who follow you have your CD and play it routinely in their vehicles as driving music? It really works! Nothing quite like it. Thanks and best Oh BTW, that place at John Wayne Marina IS very upscale and worth it maybe if you're very rich. I've had occasion to go walking around the marina as its views are artistic, but I've never been in that restaurant either. LOL Oh and BTW there's a town in that state called George. That's right. Some people live there, LOL, in George, Washington. Some commented that Washington was pretty. Yeah, and Washington is the smallest of the 11 western states. The whole Puget Sound area is vast and deep and surrounded by evergreen forests. When the skies clear you can see stunning snowcapped mountains off in the distance. It's a land of salmon, dungeness crab, excellent carrot cake and split pea soup and plenty of good artisan brew and vinted. Washington is quite a place.
My daughter lives south of Olympia and I got to see Hurricane Ridge on a visit one year during late Fall. It was amazing! It's good to see your beautiful video on such a clear day.
Good Sunday morning, Robert. Very relaxing video while I have my morning coffee. I vicariously travel with you because I'll never get out west. I do plan to go to Key West on April 1st to get a jump on summer. Continue to have fun and be safe.
I like reading all these comments below about people's perceptions about the area where I live here also I share the comments with others Etc too. I like using the snapshot feature a lot. Fun!!
Beautiful! I lived in Washington many years, seeing some of the places you visited brought back wonderful memories. The Olympic peninsula is one of the prettiest places on this earth. Thank you once again for sharing your magnificent adventures with us. I look forward to seeing Victoria next with you. Lovely place.
Especially fun to watch this morning since we are Washington state residents (my mom's family is from the Port Angeles area) and we are currently visiting Robert's home town of Miami :)
I would love to see this part of our country - your videos are the next best thing. Excellent video and narrative, and love your humor, makes me smile. I too love mountains best. Thank you for taking us along!
Thank you for sharing all this coastline through these states. I grew up in California but never saw all this until your beautiful videos! Thanks again!
Loved the video. My wife and I were in Olympic in July of 2019. Enjoyed seeing all the places we visited in your video, can't wait to go back. That trip opened our eyes to a possible RV journey ourselves. More to come on that over the next several months!
I have been looking forward to you in Washington state . The mussel you referred to is a razor clam & they are quite tasty .The coast is beautiful but the trees are stunted compared to inland . My county (Lewis) you can visit plenty of mountains and both volcanoes then drive over the pass to the east side & it becomes more desert . Sequim is the wealthy part of Washington as the weather is just about perfect year round
Hi Robert, just to say we love watching your videos. They help us to choose what we want to see when doing a roadtrip in the states. Also, I’d personally like to thank you for adding subtitles/captions. They really help me as a deaf person to view and enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work (ps we’re also very jealous that you can get to do this!).
I should pause the video and write down my comments as I watch, otherwise, by the end, I totally forget. But I really loved the Cape Alava part, with all the wildlife. You suddenly had sunny skies at Cape Flattery, which really showed up the color of the water better. Loved Hurricane Ridge as well. Thanks for a lovely Sunday drive. 😊🍻
I ran across your UA-cam channel and found it so interesting. If only Ponce De Leon, Cortez and others had made a video blog. You sir, will long be remembered for bringing the country’s scenery and current points of interest into our viewing. I salute you and thank you for exploring in modern times!
Thanks for making WASHINGTON state look so good.I camp alot at Klaloch ,but am laughing at your pronunciations of the towns. Cant wait to see your video of traveling back east & what route you take home. Hope to see you on the road in 2020,when we head to florida via highway 10
Good for you on the little log bridge! The Cape Alava (“ah-LAV-ah”) trail looks like it hasn’t changed since I hiked it in the 1970s. Outside of the SeattleTacoma metro areas Washington is mostly very rural. Cape Disappointment State Park is one of my favorite local places. While the Coast Guard owned light is neglected, the nearby North Head light is newly restored and open. I hope the two of you can visit Washington again in the future. Dry Falls, the mountains of St. Helens, Rainier and Baker, the North Cascades Highway, the Grand Coulee Dam, The Palouse in the Spring, the different kind of remoteness of the NE corner of the state are all must-visits. I so enjoy your extensive travels with your excellent videography and candid commentary.
Hahaha .... you're more of a desert guy 🏜️ ...as opposed to a forest guy 🌲🌲🌳🌳 Mountains seem to make everyone happy 🗻 Loved the wildlife 🦌 Can't wait for the ferry trip. 🛳️
Mornin', Robert! Driving through all those trees for hours does get a little claustrophobic after awhile, doesn't it? The Cape Alava/Sand Point trail is one of my all time favorites. My only" disappointment" in this video is that you didn't stop at Marsh's Free Museum in Long Beach to pay your respects to Jake The Alligator Man :-)
Glad you got to Port Angeles and Hurricane Ridge. I lived there for several years before moving to Seattle. Have bicycled up and down Hurricane Ridge. The very best hiking in the country is the primitive areas of the Olympic National Park. Good to see you views.
The Pacific Northwest is the most beautiful place on earth, IMO.
It ain't heaven, but it has the same zip code. 👍 I'm from Tillamook Oregon. Tree's, Cheese and Ocean Breeze, I'm a web foot, (a moss back). 🙂
This is my life! This is my country! I'll live and die here! Hands down the most amazing beautiful place on earth!
It's a such a pleasure to 'waste' 1 hour of my every Sunday to traveling with you, Robert. I'm a enthusiastic of American Culture and history. Thank you so much...
But it is NOT a "wasted" hour at all .... Far from that !! Robert does an amazing job, filming, editing, narration, and music ....

Right me too haha

Came to Sequim Wa. In 1972 from the Mojave desert. New I made it to Heaven. Never left.😊😊😊😊
Thanks for visiting Cape Flattery. It's been 30+ years since I had been there. Nice to see it again.

Oh and BTW there's a town in that state called George.
Excellent as always, thank you Robert for these amazing pictures
Just beautiful! Thanks for sharing. We will be exploring Washington State Aug 2020. Can’t wait.
It's Sunday. It's a bright day and the snow is melting in Northern Indiana. Getting 'white line fever' here.
I like reading all these comments below about people's perceptions about the area where I live here also I share the comments with others Etc too. I like using the snapshot feature a lot. Fun!!
u remind me so much of my dad prior to him getting a stroke. your videos bring me so much comfort!
I am loving tagging along with you on your adventures Robert, thanks for taking me along.......😃
Awesome video! Brought back lots of memories for us. Thank you!!
Very Beautiful places in this state!
Driving to the east..........on my way home. : )
Beautiful! I lived in Washington many years, seeing some of the places you visited brought back wonderful memories. The Olympic peninsula is one of the prettiest places on this earth. Thank you once again for sharing your magnificent adventures with us. I look forward to seeing Victoria next with you. Lovely place.
Outstanding video, Robert. I am more and more impressed. I think your growth in subscriber count validates the effort and work you put into this.
Especially fun to watch this morning since we are Washington state residents (my mom's family is from the Port Angeles area) and we are currently visiting Robert's home town of Miami :)
You are the best in showing places off. Love your comments and you throw in some history. ❤
I would love to see this part of our country - your videos are the next best thing. Excellent video and narrative, and love your humor, makes me smile. I too love mountains best. Thank you for taking us along!
Everyday is a nice sunset if you woke up. I am grateful for everyday that I wake up from the night before.
Thank you so much Robert that was a beautiful trip awesome views great hikes too well done Jim and bernadette from new Zealand cheers
Hurricane Ridge, one of my favorite spots on the Olympic Peninsula.
Great places! Thanks for sharing. Added to my list to travel.
Thanks, Robert. Enjoy your vids. I spent 30 yrs on the rd. Always enjoyed
Thanks Robert. I spent many decades fishing off of Tatoosh Island. Also I enjoy listening to your podcasts.
Hahaha .... you're more of a desert guy 🏜️ ...as opposed to a forest guy 🌲🌲🌳🌳 Mountains seem to make everyone happy 🗻
Loved the wildlife 🦌
Can't wait for the ferry trip. 🛳️
Mornin', Robert! Driving through all those trees for hours does get a little claustrophobic after awhile, doesn't it? The Cape Alava/Sand Point trail is one of my all time favorites. My only" disappointment" in this video is that you didn't stop at Marsh's Free Museum in Long Beach to pay your respects to Jake The Alligator Man :-)
Many fond memories of the museum when I was a kid. There was also a go-kart track nearby.
Glad you got to Port Angeles and Hurricane Ridge. I lived there for several years before moving to Seattle. Have bicycled up and down Hurricane Ridge. The very best hiking in the country is the primitive areas of the Olympic National Park. Good to see you views.
