Yeah, I heard too! I want a redemption arc for him honestly......the fans have done a pretty good job developing his soft side, but how is Goose gonna do it?
Even if he isn't getting a redemption you can still showcase him as a rounded character I think. It definitely feels like he's putting on an act of an over the top tough guy persona because he doesn't want to confront his emotions. He may never be a good person but I'm sure we'll at least see more of his why.
My theory is that Jax is the cause of Kaufmo abstraction by convincing him that there was an exist when there possibly wasn’t giving him false hope and Jax expression when Kaufmo was brought up was guilt which is why he didn’t show up during the funeral
@@fakerror1243I believe what he was saying was: Jax's actions might have caused Kaufmo to abstract. By giving Kaufmo false hope that there might be an exit when there wasn't. And then Kaufm, under immense stress, might have abstracted. He could edit his sentences instructed them better. And he could have kept his sentences it's a little shorter & more to the point.
I saw a tumblr post saying that pomni and Jax are parallels to each other in regards to their relationships with the players and the NPCs. Pomni treats NPCs like Gummigoo like people with feelings and even though technically he isn’t real, she’s still horrified when caine blows him up. Jax treats the players, real people, like they’re NPCs. He takes the fact that he’s trapped in a video game in stride and does whatever he wants there, not caring about the consequences. That post also had a good theory that the reason Jax looked sad when Kaufmo’s funeral was mentioned was because these funerals are reminders that the other players are real people, not just NPCs for him to interact with.
"even though technically he isn’t real" I dunno, dude. I'm reminded of the Velventeen Rabbit and "becoming real". After seeing Gummigoo's arc, I think it's possible for the NPCs to grow as people, far further than what Caine planned for them originally.
I also saw a YT comment theorizing that Jax has mistreated his fellow human players so much that when he abstracts they probably won’t even bother to have a funeral for him
@@_kaleido I sort of think they still would... because ultimately, ironically, a funeral is not about the person who died, but the people who lived through the event of the person's death. The cast use the funerals to reaffirm their care for one another in an insane world, which ultimately (whether they know it or not) helps their mental wellbeing and helps stave off abstraction. Admittedly, Jax's funeral would likely be much less 'sad' - but it would have an even greater benefit to the bonds between the remaining characters to acknowledge the impact of Jax's removal from their collective digital lives.
Love when the creator confirms an already questionable character is going to get worse. And we are already seeing it, I'm eager to see how he gets worse as it clear he has a maladaptive coping mechanism. Just because you're 'coping' doesn't mean you're justified in hurting and harassing other people. So he is very much emotionally immature and that can only get worse when there are barely any 'consequences' in a game as a person like that is going to be desperate for excitement, even at the cost of someone else's well being.
I’m gonna say that Jax is the most chaotic evil aligned character I’ve seen SINCE BILL CYPHER. He knows nothing he does matters so he’s coping by destroying everything Caine has worked to make.
Basically if jax is treating this like what it is, a game. He feels like a delinquent just looking to f*ck sh*t up If there are no consequences to life and nothing is truly real in these games, why should you care what you do.
But he also does this to other humans in the same predicament, and like he said in the video this could eventually cause them to turn into an abstract monster , and the AI’s in TADC have feelings, just look at gummigoo
@@arshu_parshu1999AI in TDAC only recently obtained feelings as part of Caine's improvement in episode 2. But yes Jax is a jerk for being mean to the crew. I don't care he treats the video game like a video game, but stressing the crew out is not great.
I believe that Jax acts mean because deep down he doesn't want to show that he actually cares for the circus gang. Like something that went on in his life before the circus, he just can't help but to be mean. Also I noticed that his hand wasn't present when the gang were catching Pomni from falling into the void
Yeah and the fact he had a sympathetic look in his eyes when they talked about the funeral for kaufmo Before acting like he doesn’t care again and walked away, as if he doesn’t want anyone to know that he cares probably from something that happened before being brought to the circus
I believe he does that because he’s afraid of abstracting. He believes that he can survive when they’re all gone so he acts like they don’t matter to him.
Such as being a small child I stile don't know if it's true or not but I read somewhere that he was literally a child when he entered the circus dude literally grew up there That has gotta screw with his mental state
I'm willing to bet that him and kaufmo were actually friends, since no one laughed at his jokes chances are jax did because of the likely dark humor. Jax is basically bugs bunny without the ability to fully control the situation so he causes as much damage as possible to either spite caine or just to avoid thinking of his situation
He probably had a really deep connection to kaufmo he really wants him to come back maybe and he has to like the circus gang especially pomni he's always smiling at her
Jax seriously reminds me of Simon from Infinity Train and it's unnerving. And we all know how Simon ended up mentally so i personally think Jax will eventually go insane and possibly abstract or even worse try to prevent the others to leave if they ever get a exit since he can do whatever he wants to the other circus members like how Simon thought he could do whatever he wanted to the train denizens.
During when Jax was hearing about the funeral he had a moment of a sad face but then shrugged it off. Deep down he knows everything is disappearing and everything he does is nothing. Wake up. Go to a adventure programmed by Caine to like the characters. Eat. Rinse and repeat. The real falling around Jax. A really dark existence
Okay this is going to be written before finishing the video But i think Jax is that person that when they play a videogame they go absolutely crazy and a bit unhinged, so when he was transported he didn't want to go crazy he knew there weren't really any consequences of is actions so he treats ppl and NPC badly because of it
I agree and the fact that they are going in these adventures for months, maybe even years for some like Kinger, makes Jax be bored of them and tries to do some crazy things to entertain himself and see new things. Now what I wonder is: If they go on the Jax route of playing and go off script, would it bring good consequences like the game breaking and they get out of the circus or it would be bad to maybe reajust the new adventures to be more difficult or Caine starts to glith and break or even put the crew in danger in some way?
I feel like Jax was a "mean" older brother and he won't really stop until his younger brother tells him to, but he's not in the game Jax doesn't remember him but he knows he's missing and that set's him off, he knows that missing this "something" hurts so he causes issues waiting and hoping that that something will tell him to quit it and that it will fill the void he knows he's missing and even tho the others tell him to stop it's not the same
@@petthequeenofmaddness8592 what if something like that used to happen but then that person abstracted and now he is even worse and no one can stop him, and that's why he left the funeral
@@thecrazygooseofyourdreams4785 possibly the thing is Jaz can't remember who they were no name no face heck anytime someone abstracts he might wonder if they were the one and if not them then who was it
“Jax is unhinged” seems fairly accurate.😅 The brief flash of Jax looking sad at Kaufmo’s funeral though makes me think at least part of his jerk act is to stave off spiraling into insanity/makes it easier to remain unattached if someone becomes abstracted since if he treats everyone like they’re not actually real people, he won’t see it as someone basically dying when they abstract; it doesn’t make it right, but maybe if he starts to abstract/experiences something horrific, he’ll start to change his attitude.🤔 I wonder if because Zooble and Jax are the same age, maybe they’ll wind up being siblings (twins) instead of Ragatha and Jax as I know some theories have stated.🤔
I don't think he's a villain I think he's just trying to make sure he never becomes abstract. As long as he's having fun or some stable or straightforward thinking whether those thoughts be violent and unhinged he'll never fear of abstracting. It's like the idea if if you keep yourself busy the bad thoughts won't flood your mind. And he does care we saw for a split second that as they were preparing for Kaufmos funeral he looked sad but pushed those feeling away.
Jax reminds me so much of Max from Sam and Max. Both of them love murder, mayhem, and bloodshed and they’re both sociopaths but they both hide a sad and depressing side. It's also implied in the Sam and Max games that Max has self loathing problems and I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Jax hates himself too.
around the funeral part. jax looks sad for a split second before walking off. my opinion. jax is just looking for that next high through chaos and not think about the depressing part of him being trapped there.
I don't wanna call him a villain just yet. Maybe having joy with seeing other people's suffering is Jax' way on trying to coming on terms with the situation being trapped in a virtual world? He's still the youngest of them, even when he's 22 years old...
ya, I feel like he's a teen trapped in a lego game like he was a mean older brother but would still care for the younger one but with no real memory's he's mad and feels like somethings missing like he's waiting for the younger brother to tell him to quit it and it's just not the same when the others tell him to stop
Honestly I kinda understand the way Jax is acting in episode two- he’s been stuck in the circus for likely years, doing the same old things in different skins everyday Jax is only 22, he could of entered the circus as a child, and is just lashing out since he’s had his entire life taken away I can totally see a kid getting bored after doing just the one thing on and on for years- if he’s gonna lash out at anyone, might as well do it at the ones he knows isn’t real the most. We’ve all gotten pissed off at an npc and quick saved to absolutely annihilate them if we were able to
I'd love to see an npc introduction who is just a little more evil than Jax, and messes with his head, pulling at his insecurities, because that kind of interaction can really tell you what kind of person Jax is. Well- we already know, he's cruel, but on a deeper level I like to imagine he's so far gone in his own insecurities that he would respond to the bullying by being much worse, tenfold. I think that would really actualise Gooseworx's statement that he'll become irredeemable. It could create a moral grey ground, seeing him be somewhat "vulnerable", but in the same way a narcissist is insecure, so I hope we don't cut him any slack.
It's brief but near the end of the episode when ragatha mentioned kaufmo funeral he expressed both sadness and irritation before leaving. Which is interesting cause he just walked away (which I expected) but he didn't say anything rude, mean or sarcastic. He just .....left. 🤔
Jax is imo the best character, he’s unhinged and clearly American with how easily he takes out his shotgun, and that makes him the perfect comic relief.
Anyone else think Jax is acting like those players who purposely harm the npcs inside the game and basically testing how bad you can go inside the game ie example killing npcs in skyrim or doing every last dark urge thing in baldur's gate
@@CartoonUniverse Jax seems to have similar behavior to the apex kids from infinity train. I am going to hold on to the belief he caused more humans to abstract that we don't know about.
I mean they could easily fix that issue if, on top of creating these adventures, Caine created personal worlds for each human by simply asking them what they want in these worlds, and change it when they say they want something else. That way, Jax could vent all of his anger and aggression on the NPCs in his personal world and act more decent when he's back with the rest of the humans.
Not going to lie the whole time I was watching Jax in this episode I could just imagine what he looks like in the real world. He ways definitely the kind of kid in school to where a black hoodie everyday and make jokes about being the school's threat
I think Jax 'Deserves to be there' because he's antagonizing people in order to help by distracting themselves from the situation they find themselves in. I saw a video pointing out nearly every time he antagonizes someone it looks like he's distracting them from their previous line of thinking.
Still highly doubt Jax is just pure evil. I believe the fact that he didnt attend on Kaufmo's funeral might be because they were actually good friends and he didnt want the others to see him cry so he just left.
so i had an idea for a gangle episode witch i really would love to see 1 jax makes fun of gangle being an anime fan 2 caine makes next adventure anime themed to make up to gangle 3 gangle is so mesmorised she gets kidnapped and others cant get out without saving her 4 gangle doesnt wanna go back beacause she would rather be with her fav characters and crushes rather than be bullied all the time 5 jax must apologyse to her and in a real apology not a quick "k i am sorry can we go now" like he would do i personally think this idea would be the best gangle focused episode beacause it can make her happy and posyblly have jax be beaten up for insulting her WICH I WOULD LOVE
You didn’t consider that maybe Jax became this way *because* he was trapped? Being stuck in the digital circus could have even amplified traits that he had already and made them worse, especially considering he has nothing to live for now. It makes sense that he would start to go slightly psychotic and more irritable after being in this isolated place for years (depending on one’s personality, the digital circus could have a different effect, which is why we don’t see the same exact thing with the others)
I have a theory (that doesn’t make sense at all sorry but i wanted to get it out my head) jax actually found kaufmos jokes funny but pretends to hate them and he probably bullied kaufmo to hang out with him more but one day he took it too far and wich lead to kaufmo staying in his room with anger and stress and when he abstracted jax felt guilty wich explains why he kept runing away in the pilot and i the scene where he was sad he actually missed him
He literally has no reedemable qualities and is the one that deserves the most to be in the circus, he probably regreted for doing something that caused kaufmo to abstract
My theory is that due to being trapped for so long, jax had become apathetic to the situation and stopped seeing anything that happens as real. The way he copes with TADC is by destructing everyone around him and causing chaos, he's well aware that there aren't any consequences (that he or the audience are aware of) due to everyone around him being either imortal or ai. The only way someone can be hurt from his knowledge is abstraction which he can't cause someone to do. He's not COMPLETELY emotionless as, before gangle's funeral we see his act crack before he leaves but as the show goes on i feel he'd only become worse as the circus slowly turns it's inhabitants more and more off the edge.
Something ive seen no one talking about is that when Ragatha starts talking about kaufmo’s funeral jax is actually sad, before turning angry and walking away, almost as if he’s trying to hide how he really feels
I think Jax's behavior is a coping mechanism. I think, deep down, he's actually really scared, so he acts like a buttmunch so no one will think he's "weak".
After learning that the Raggedy Ann & Andy movie was one of the inspirations for Digital Circus, it made me love Jax even more since he’s basically Andy with his flaws amped up. The song “No Girl’s Toy” fits his character surprisingly well
Mabye Jax already made Kaufmo abstract hence the quick look of sorrow when Kaufmos funeral is mentioned before he brushes it off. Guilt might have been the reason he didnt go to the funeral.
I wanted to say that the background of the new pins we can see there rooms. But for Jax it's just outside of his door and the background seems to be broken and in the void
Im not sure that it was that he was a bully so much that he uses other people's suffering to feel better about himself by comparison. Laughing at others and actively seeking to put them in uncomfortable situations for entertainment, from what I understand can either be from unlearned empathy, or a learned defense mechanism, for example, a pecking order mentality. Its easy to think Jax has no empathy until the moment he has to hide his sadness for Kofmo. He wants pople to think he has no empathy or may even wish he didn't himself, so things could be simple. But if he's empathetic, being cruel is probably a defense or copong mechanism to distance himself from his own suffering or feel better about himself in comparison to other's situations or experiances.
Jax is a lot like me when playing multiplayer games, Despite my kindness IRL I love causing chaos in other games. I’m not a jerk or anything I just like to cause chaos and mayhem like Jax does! In horror games sometimes I like to lead the bad guy to the other players for giggles
Personally i feel like there has to be more going on whit his character in order for us to understand why he acts this way. But if i am being honest i hope someone does confront him over his behaviour towards the group
Feel like the characters represent how different people react to a situation, Ragatha (name maybe wrong) tries to make the best of a situation, Kinger falls to insanity to escape the situation, Zoople turns to self isolation, Jax acts distant from others as not to form emotional attachments & uses destructive behaviour to vent frustration and maintain distant from everyone ( its why I think he avoided the funeral, cause he didn't want to acknowledge a connection to Kauffmo) and I have no ideas what Pomni and Gangle represent . Also I think Jax will end up being responsible for killing Gangle/Tangle, my theory is Pomni will through the series notice how Tangle gets bullied by Jax, works with them to stand up for themselves and confront Jax. They go and confront Jax, bring up unpleasant past situations to do with Jax (catching him off guard) the result of which leads them to having an emotional break down and abstracting. Jax will try to ignore what happened and continue to act a jerk, Poynings will feel guilt for being/believing shes a part of Tangle abstracted, regardless she'll know she isn't the only/main cause and will go to confront Jax forcing him to come to terms about what has happened and his role in it leading to him try to be less of a jerk so a repeat of what happens to Tangle doesn't happen to others.
I have a theory now, and admittedly it is a bit of a jump, but, after Kofmo went abstracted and then put into the below there was a new ai that is 57 times more powerful. Im wondering if Caine is using the abstracted characters and plugging them into the world engine to make it more powerful and interesting? They aren’t dead, and it seems that they can’t die, so now they’re part of the world that they were tormented in. Just a thought.
I still think he’s going to have a redemption, even more after this new episode because of his facial reaction at the mention of Kaufmo’s funeral, anyone could see he was sad about it but forced himself to act no bothered and even mad. Even so, the creator said he was gonna get progressively worse. So he’ll probably plummet before getting any better. I think his character is one of the best and deserves more analysis than just ‘he acts mean, because he’s mean and just mean bunny’ 🤔
@@artsyana No, the creator confirmed that his personality will be WORSE throughout the series and that HE is the one who deserves to be trapped the most.
@@samuelisaacdelacruzaguiler2489 I heard that too. But honestly, it's a big risk...... The gap between episodes resulted in the fans creating a LOT of stories that developed Jax. Which might result in some dissatisfaction as the story that the original creators had in mind develops..... because some of those fan stories developed Jax in a good and understanable way.
@@DrawciaGleam02 first of all Gooseworx doesn't like her fandom nor does she care She herself said that she likes Jax because he is a hopeless and psychopathic person. Also she said that Jax has nothing heroic about him. The creator already said that he will not be redeemed nor will he be good That people IGNORE this and continue creating headcanons IGNORING what she said is not her problem, it is in fact the fandom's problem for creating nonsense.
As I see it Jax has probably been there long enough that he just doesn't feel anything anymore so he causes pain and suffering to see if it makes him feel anything like joy
My theory is that Jax got stuck in the Digital Circus as a teenage delinquent that would explain a lot about his personality. He never got to experience those formative adult years or mature.
1:56 is exactly what I was thinking while yes he did erase the crocodile gummy and everyone hates him for that he’s just doing what he was made to do and doesn’t think any of this is wrong
Ok,All I want is Jax’s either learns his lesson or get’s revealed to only be doing this because he doesn’t understand abstraction.Maybe he thinks you can only abstract when you try and find the exit or something and not that you get overwhelmed with your circumstances.Maybe a new characters will come to the circus and help him change!Just,Please! He’s everyone’s favourite!Make him a good person!
Jax's personality could also be dangerous in how detached he actually is. If he's been in the circus so long and has experienced little to no consequences (no death or injuries) for aggressive behavior or violence, he might not even consider the other residents (including himself) as "human" anymore and treats them as basically meat shields If something drastically warps his worldview even further later (like learning the others might be just "code" if they are duplicates like you said or learning there's nothing to return to in the real world) he might snap and just decide to destroy everything consequences be damned. He's the type to definitely want to "burn the world down" and take everyone with him if it gets to that point
Jax probably suffered a horrible life maybe being negligent and been through hostile situations to the point that the whole is out to get him Copping with trama perhaps taking all the aggressive, destructive behavior on alot things and people might be he's reflection of what happened to him
Or, and hear me out, he’s the equivalent of a gmod player that knows there’s no real Consequences and actually tries to make it worth everyone’s time by figuring out that they doing have the same morals in the real world anymore. It’s like saying you were dropped into a magical land where magic is forbidden there. Are you going to tell me you’re going to obey that law if nothing actually bad will ever happen to you from that point on? I think yall never actually comprehend how things can be taken from different perspectives. Matpat really dug his style of thinking too deep if you ask me.
He’s more detached from reality. He’s what every gamer becomes after playing the same game for too long, testing everything and trying to do things most people don’t do. Think about people who have probably done all the “good” things and then play again to do a more evil playthrough. He’s just that.
As mentioned in the video, Caine does not understand the needs of humans trapped in this game. Given this limitation, one might question how he is able to develop artificial intelligence with human-like characteristics.
My theory just telling by how Jax acts ect, is that Jax was a gamer or at least someone who played a lot of games involving first person shooters, guns, car chases ect. Like: GTA, Red Dead and a whole lot more Where you can act violent to Npc but also just a fighting/conflict game probably to get away from something happening in reality (Telling by how he acts towards others), only for him to come across a headset like pomni did then being transported to the digital circus
Honestly I feel the possibility that Jax bahaves this way because of the Digital Circus like how some people admit they'd do psychotic or messed up things in impossible situations like the Digital Circus
I still feel bad for every members, jax is yes terrible but he still shows emotions, yes he murders the NPCs that can mimic human emotions but literally, they are bots they can mimic human emotions but aren't really human.
Up until now, I thought it was only CAINE making everybody's lives miserable. But I feel like Jax is just as guilty, if not more. The question remains, though...WHY is he so terrible to everyone
Something i noticed in episode 1 is that when jax leaves to escape kaufmo, he gets tired, but then pomni runs for quite a while plus ragatha drags herself from the hallway to where caine was, but then neither of them are tired.
It's too early to say that Jax is the villain in my opinion. In fact, I theorize that the reason why he acts the way he does comes down to the idea that he became attached to so many people who ended up abstracting, and therefore, he has gotten to the point where he doesn't want to lose anyone if he were to ever form a friendship with someone again and has resorted to this sarcastic, chaotic nature to hide his true feelings. You can even see towards the end of the episode right before the funeral, just for a split second, Jax showed an expression of sympathy/sadness before rubbing it off.
I feel like jax in the human world was a rotten alcoholic adult, when he entered the digital circus, it felt like he could do whatever he wants without actually taking care of the consequence for his actions But goosework did told us that Jax was going to be even worse as the show goes on (correct me if I'm wrong ;-;)
Remember how Jax said "do it or I'll tell them about the figurines" and in the flitch area the characters are on a stand like a figureine si my theory is that those things have time do something with Gangel, or not maybe I'm just experiencing digital hallucinations
I don’t know why everyone seems so surprised that he’s this bad. I mean he literally shoved tangle (or whatever her name is) for no reason in the pilot.
an addendum to Jax's grievances: he also deliberately stepped away from Kaufmo's little funeral, even rolling his eyes at it. He was the only one not there, even Zooble, who seems apathetic, not only attended but set it up. Not only is Jax a troll, he's a moral monster. In a way that's not even funny anymore.
I think most people thought Jax was going to be an 'I can fix him' type of character thats why he was so popular. Now people are very unhappy that is not the case and he's a more unhinged chaoric evil character. People need to remember that the characters are based in how people play games in real life. Jax is the quintisential troll evil player who likes to ruin playthrough of players and cause issues.
Jax is similar to a Skyrim player who has played the same game/character for too long. he's experienced all the intentional stuff / content and that's why he's fooling around and trying to see how to break the game. like a dream that no longer needs a dreamer.
I like the take that he like a kid. It's understandable that in a world where he has no control or say in what happens, causing mischief is something he CAN control. Also I get the feeling of feeling dull and needing to radically shake up something in my life (not violently like him, maybe just dye my hair) to bring some excitement back to it.
I think Jax needs these types of intense and humorous situations to keep himself from abstracting, I have a feeling he’s having the toughest time of most of the characters. He needs something entertaining enough to keep himself distracted
I like to think jax missed the funeral for 1 of 2 reasons 1: He doesnt want to face the fact thay one of the only people in this nightmare is gin forever as this would break through his carefree chaotic mask 2: He genuinely does not care
Tbh I don’t quite think he’s the villain. Nor do I think this is a prison intended for him or someone like him. Personally I think there’s one of two things going on with him. He’s either an npc who somehow took the place of a real person and nobody noticed is the one I personally lean towards a lot more
I think Jax was (confirmed) to have been the youngest when he first joined. He acts like a bully and overall rude because I think that's how he got there. Like Pomni remember only putting on the headset, it's one of her main character traits. If you put on a headset for a game, you're expected to be able to turn it off/leave. She's wants to "quit" the game. Jax, I believe was more so bullied/goated into playing when he was young and that's why he ended up there. The last thing he remembered was some cruel who had "power" over him, like a bully. So he became that person so he would have more authority and power. And it's working.
Oh wait its not the marriage animation, its Pomni tryin to escape the circus:

I'd just throw him into the abstracted characters abyss!!!
Fr
Or maybe also by becoming a maid
@@Inactive_Account29283i want him in a maid dress
That's what I was thinking
I’m gonna say that Jax is the most chaotic evil aligned character I’ve seen SINCE BILL CYPHER. He knows nothing he does matters so he’s coping by destroying everything Caine has worked to make.
Basically if jax is treating this like what it is, a game. He feels like a delinquent just looking to f*ck sh*t up
If there are no consequences to life and nothing is truly real in these games, why should you care what you do.
Exactly!
But he also does this to other humans in the same predicament, and like he said in the video this could eventually cause them to turn into an abstract monster , and the AI’s in TADC have feelings, just look at gummigoo
@@arshu_parshu1999first, he didn't know npcs have feelings
Second...
Yes, he doesn't care, he genuenely likes to see people suffer
@@arshu_parshu1999AI in TDAC only recently obtained feelings as part of Caine's improvement in episode 2. But yes Jax is a jerk for being mean to the crew. I don't care he treats the video game like a video game, but stressing the crew out is not great.
I believe that Jax acts mean because deep down he doesn't want to show that he actually cares for the circus gang. Like something that went on in his life before the circus, he just can't help but to be mean. Also I noticed that his hand wasn't present when the gang were catching Pomni from falling into the void
Yeah and the fact he had a sympathetic look in his eyes when they talked about the funeral for kaufmo
Before acting like he doesn’t care again and walked away, as if he doesn’t want anyone to know that he cares probably from something that happened before being brought to the circus
I believe he does that because he’s afraid of abstracting.
He believes that he can survive when they’re all gone so he acts like they don’t matter to him.
It’s probably Jax fault why he abstracted so he may feel guilty
Such as being a small child I stile don't know if it's true or not but I read somewhere that he was literally a child when he entered the circus dude literally grew up there
That has gotta screw with his mental state
@@eternallylearning2811how do you track time in a world where the day and night cycle are more tailored to a video game rather than real life?
Anyone else just now realizing that Jax didn't go to Kaufmo's funeral
I think that was due to the fact that he doesn't want to feel soft. I think it's the only way to keep from from abstracting
Yah because he looks disappointed maybe because there is more depth to him than we all think I mean acting like a prick because that is how he cope
Ya I legit screamed "WHERE IS JAX?!!"
Okay this is going to be written before finishing the video
But i think Jax is that person that when they play a videogame they go absolutely crazy and a bit unhinged, so when he was transported he didn't want to go crazy he knew there weren't really any consequences of is actions so he treats ppl and NPC badly because of it
I agree and the fact that they are going in these adventures for months, maybe even years for some like Kinger, makes Jax be bored of them and tries to do some crazy things to entertain himself and see new things.
Now what I wonder is: If they go on the Jax route of playing and go off script, would it bring good consequences like the game breaking and they get out of the circus or it would be bad to maybe reajust the new adventures to be more difficult or Caine starts to glith and break or even put the crew in danger in some way?
@@aliceandrade7164 i think the more Jax does it the more uncertain the others will be of him, so there could be a very big conflict brewing up

@@petthequeenofmaddness8592 what if something like that used to happen but then that person abstracted and now he is even worse and no one can stop him, and that's why he left the funeral
@@thecrazygooseofyourdreams4785 possibly the thing is Jaz can't remember who they were no name no face heck anytime someone abstracts he might wonder if they were the one and if not them then who was it
“Jax is unhinged” seems fairly accurate.😅 The brief flash of Jax looking sad at Kaufmo’s funeral though makes me think at least part of his jerk act is to stave off spiraling into insanity/makes it easier to remain unattached if someone becomes abstracted since if he treats everyone like they’re not actually real people, he won’t see it as someone basically dying when they abstract; it doesn’t make it right, but maybe if he starts to abstract/experiences something horrific, he’ll start to change his attitude.🤔
I wonder if because Zooble and Jax are the same age, maybe they’ll wind up being siblings (twins) instead of Ragatha and Jax as I know some theories have stated.🤔
It's also implied in the Sam and Max games that Max has self loathing problems and I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Jax hates himself too.
honestly, i never thought about that, but you're right. i don't think it's a coincidence that their names are almost identical, too
Also bunny :)
jax ends up containing the devils play house in his head and gets turned into a massive Cthulhu jax like in the 3rd teltale game lol
around the funeral part.
jax looks sad for a split second before walking off.
my opinion. jax is just looking for that next high through chaos and not think about the depressing part of him being trapped there.
I don't wanna call him a villain just yet. Maybe having joy with seeing other people's suffering is Jax' way on trying to coming on terms with the situation being trapped in a virtual world? He's still the youngest of them, even when he's 22 years old...
Also rememeber that it's easy to fall into nihilism when you know nothing's real.
Or he just might be a genuine sociopath down the line.
ya, I feel like he's a teen trapped in a lego game like he was a mean older brother but would still care for the younger one but with no real memory's he's mad and feels like somethings missing like he's waiting for the younger brother to tell him to quit it and it's just not the same when the others tell him to stop
He was also trapped being 17-18 or so.
Still bad to enjoy people’s suffering
Honestly I kinda understand the way Jax is acting in episode two- he’s been stuck in the circus for likely years, doing the same old things in different skins everyday
Jax is only 22, he could of entered the circus as a child, and is just lashing out since he’s had his entire life taken away
I can totally see a kid getting bored after doing just the one thing on and on for years- if he’s gonna lash out at anyone, might as well do it at the ones he knows isn’t real the most. We’ve all gotten pissed off at an npc and quick saved to absolutely annihilate them if we were able to
I was kind of expecting Jax to be like this cause the pilot shows this, and this new episode just shows more of him
I'd love to see an npc introduction who is just a little more evil than Jax, and messes with his head, pulling at his insecurities, because that kind of interaction can really tell you what kind of person Jax is.
He's coping with the sadness he felt. Very normal for people who have a hard time to show emotions.
Literally watch the video
@@CartoonUniverse Jax seems to have similar behavior to the apex kids from infinity train. I am going to hold on to the belief he caused more humans to abstract that we don't know about.
I mean they could easily fix that issue if, on top of creating these adventures, Caine created personal worlds for each human by simply asking them what they want in these worlds, and change it when they say they want something else.
That way, Jax could vent all of his anger and aggression on the NPCs in his personal world and act more decent when he's back with the rest of the humans.
My theory is instead of showing everyone his true emotions by crying at Kaufmo's funeral, he just went in his room to cry
I feel like Jax pushing everyone away will cause him to abstract
Still highly doubt Jax is just pure evil. I believe the fact that he didnt attend on Kaufmo's funeral might be because they were actually good friends and he didnt want the others to see him cry so he just left.
If gumigoo ever respawns, he’ll have the same personality, just without the existential crisis part
It may be too early to be calling Jax a villain. He’s more chaotic than villainous.
so i had an idea for a gangle episode witch i really would love to see
1 jax makes fun of gangle being an anime fan 2 caine makes next adventure anime themed to make up to gangle 3 gangle is so mesmorised she gets kidnapped and others cant get out without saving her 4 gangle doesnt wanna go back beacause she would rather be with her fav characters and crushes rather than be bullied all the time 5 jax must apologyse to her and in a real apology not a quick "k i am sorry can we go now" like he would do
i personally think this idea would be the best gangle focused episode beacause it can make her happy and posyblly have jax be beaten up for insulting her WICH I WOULD LOVE
0:43 no way
You didn’t consider that maybe Jax became this way *because* he was trapped? Being stuck in the digital circus could have even amplified traits that he had already and made them worse, especially considering he has nothing to live for now. It makes sense that he would start to go slightly psychotic and more irritable after being in this isolated place for years (depending on one’s personality, the digital circus could have a different effect, which is why we don’t see the same exact thing with the others)
No he was already like this. Like gooseworx said he deserves to be there the most. Meaning he's done worse things before he even arrived
@@EggsBenedict-te4nj ah okay
His actions feel like a sociopath playing games like Skyrim or Fallout, and all they do is kill and murder people because they know that it's not real
Jax isn’t just a horrible person. While they were talking about Kaufmo he was sad for just a split second.
I have a theory (that doesn’t make sense at all sorry but i wanted to get it out my head) jax actually found kaufmos jokes funny but pretends to hate them and he probably bullied kaufmo to hang out with him more but one day he took it too far and wich lead to kaufmo staying in his room with anger and stress and when he abstracted jax felt guilty wich explains why he kept runing away in the pilot and i the scene where he was sad he actually missed him
This sounds so sarcastic, please don't tell me you're serious xDD
@@Idi.t I’m being serious. Maybe you just can’t see the moment.😂
@@Idi.tDid you not see the sudden face change in Jax?
Jax is defo gonna make gangle abstract she is so mean
Sorry he
Something ive seen no one talking about is that when Ragatha starts talking about kaufmo’s funeral jax is actually sad, before turning angry and walking away, almost as if he’s trying to hide how he really feels
I need to look into that!
Basically the "Think of the starving African kids" line, except Jax is the type who starves kids so his two peas on a plate looks like a full meal.
Jax is a lot like me when playing multiplayer games,
Despite my kindness IRL I love causing chaos in other games.
Jax is your local looney tunes villain, he’s just awaiting violence with a grin!
I feel like Jax has gone insane but in a way he can interact with people or his human body has some sort of mental disorder that he inherited
I used to think Jax would have some kind of redemption, but now I think that's nigh impossible.
0:41 Well, a guy can have his headcanons, can he not?
What does nigh mean?
@@samuelisaacdelacruzaguiler2489
I heard that too. But honestly, it's a big risk......
The gap between episodes resulted in the fans creating a LOT of stories that developed Jax. Which might result in some dissatisfaction as the story that the original creators had in mind develops.....
because some of those fan stories developed Jax in a good and understanable way.
@@DrawciaGleam02 first of all Gooseworx doesn't like her fandom nor does she care
She herself said that she likes Jax because he is a hopeless and psychopathic person.
Also she said that Jax has nothing heroic about him.
The creator already said that he will not be redeemed nor will he be good
That people IGNORE this and continue creating headcanons IGNORING what she said is not her problem, it is in fact the fandom's problem for creating nonsense.
If he's been in the circus so long and has experienced little to no consequences (no death or injuries) for aggressive behavior or violence, he might not even consider the other residents (including himself) as "human" anymore and treats them as basically meat shields
If something drastically warps his worldview even further later (like learning the others might be just "code" if they are duplicates like you said or learning there's nothing to return to in the real world) he might snap and just decide to destroy everything consequences be damned. He's the type to definitely want to "burn the world down" and take everyone with him if it gets to that point
I just wanna see the other characters kick Jax's ass (I mean, when you have a character who's just an ass, they need a good ass kicking).
Honestly don't even notice a difference in jax's behavior 💀
He felt the same as in ep 1 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Same, i don't know what people are talking about
I think the person he could really messed up, is gonna be Raghata.
Jax probably suffered a horrible life maybe being negligent and been through hostile situations to the point that the whole is out to get him
Copping with trama perhaps taking all the aggressive, destructive behavior on alot things and people might be he's reflection of what happened to him
Jax was a little sad about Kaufmo's funeral as unlike the other NPCS Kaufmo was a real person.
Exactly what im saying man, Jax is going thru shut
As mentioned in the video, Caine does not understand the needs of humans trapped in this game. Given this limitation, one might question how he is able to develop artificial intelligence with human-like characteristics.
I love how unhinged and bloodthursty Jax was in this episode. He almost reached Joker's level of lovable monster.
My friend, Joker is NOT a loveable monster
@@anastasia_852I wouldn’t say he’s lovable, but I like joker at least
At 2:03 it looks like Caine is lip syncing with what he's saying lmao
My theory just telling by how Jax acts ect, is that Jax was a gamer or at least someone who played a lot of games involving first person shooters, guns, car chases ect. Like: GTA, Red Dead and a whole lot more
Where you can act violent to Npc but also just a fighting/conflict game probably to get away from something happening in reality (Telling by how he acts towards others), only for him to come across a headset like pomni did then being transported to the digital circus
I have no mouth and I must scream, the guy in the story who gets transformed into a monster.
Honestly I feel the possibility that Jax bahaves this way because of the Digital Circus like how some people admit they'd do psychotic or messed up things in impossible situations like the Digital Circus
Yeah the thing is I read somewhere that Jax might have actually been a child whem he first got i to the circus so no wonder he's so screwed up
He might've been a teenager
I still feel bad for every members, jax is yes terrible but he still shows emotions, yes he murders the NPCs that can mimic human emotions but literally, they are bots they can mimic human emotions but aren't really human.
jax is the average gamer trying to find the limit of the game or hes like (lets game it out)
Up until now, I thought it was only CAINE making everybody's lives miserable.
There was a moment were you can see Jax get sad for a second it was near the funeral part were he walks off
His destructive behavior might be how he copes with being trapped
I feel like jax in the human world was a rotten alcoholic adult, when he entered the digital circus, it felt like he could do whatever he wants without actually taking care of the consequence for his actions
But goosework did told us that Jax was going to be even worse as the show goes on (correct me if I'm wrong ;-;)
Gangle
And she is a girl
an addendum to Jax's grievances: he also deliberately stepped away from Kaufmo's little funeral, even rolling his eyes at it. He was the only one not there, even Zooble, who seems apathetic, not only attended but set it up. Not only is Jax a troll, he's a moral monster. In a way that's not even funny anymore.
He does seem to have a flash of sadness before walking off. I’d suggest picking it apart frame by frame.
I still love how cane Was called God In episode2 Which I guess that's no surprise😂
My guess is that he'll abstract Ragatha, making everyone finally go against him.
I don’t think Jax is a bad person he just realized that nothing matters in this world
I like the take that he like a kid.
I like to think jax missed the funeral for 1 of 2 reasons
1: He doesnt want to face the fact thay one of the only people in this nightmare is gin forever as this would break through his carefree chaotic mask
2: He genuinely does not care
Jax is trying to hide his depression
If he shoves someone over, what are they gonna get, a digital bruise? 💀
(Im kiiiiiding)
Do I think Jax is a “villain” no because he’s not the antagonist. However, he is a psychopath or sociopath in my opinion.
This man ia crazy enough to shotgun the front seat and also shotgun the shotgun
Well in jax is eyes they can’t be killed no matter what and the npc aren’t real in his eyes
