Note: This was filmed over 6 months ago, and due to technical difficulties I was just able to release it now. The camera didn't record during part of it, so I was deciding if we should re-shoot it entirely or I just do a voice over for that specific part. I elected to just do a voice over for that one field, I hope you all don't mind! Thank you for your patience! Please consider sharing this video with a friend, family member or on social media if you liked it! We are trying to grow this channel :)
here is an interesting fact about coors field in denver that Brent might like. there is a row in the stands that goes all the way around the stadium where the seats are purple as opposed to the rest of the seats that are black. the purple row is exactly one mile above sea level.
That's also an old pic of coors field cause it doesn't have the roof top or the new screen or lights and the seats are green except the purple ones on the top section. Beautiful sunsets are one of the best features
The that building you see from the Los Angeles Angels Stadium (they got renamed from Anaheim Angeles in 2016) is the arena where the Anaheim Ducks play.
Sorry, we don't accept the Angels in Los Angeles. They abandoned us and moved to Anaheim, and that's where they will stay and that's how they will be referred to as. There is only one L.A. baseball team, and that's the Dodgers.
Being from St. Louis loved hearing the positive things you said about Busch. The view of the skyline one of my favorite things about Busch and the view of the game is just as good!
As a member of a grounds crew for a collegiate baseball team, I can comment on some of your fascinations with the grass patterns and landscaping. Patterns are created by bending the blades of grass during mowing. Lighter grass is bending away from you and force light to bounce toward you, and vice versa for the darker grass. Patterns can be changed up to 3 times a week. All MLB stadiums, except for Rogers Centre and Tropicana Field, feature real grass. SunTrust Park is in its second year of existence, and the photo used was taken during construction after the sod had been laid down, thus it had not been cut/patterned yet (and the seats were empty). The sod is laid in strips, similar to installing turf.
Glasterz I like the sarcasm lol the lights are not the newest thing in the stadium the scoreboards or video boards are not sure why they make videos on many other sports not knowing information about them
Wow I’m finding you all around yt and those video boards are new in the last 5 years and that dude said the lights where the lasted edition (the lights were added in the 40s or 50s) but the video boards are new
The Rays stadium is the only dome left in the MLB. All other are open or have a retractable roof, also Tropicana Field along with the Rodgers Center are the only two parks that still use turf instead of real grass.
Fun note for Brent about Wrigley, the lights were donated by the military as a thank you because during ww2 the Cubs made a donation to the war effort instead of installing lights on the stadium.
I took a road trip over the summer to a bunch of different stadiums. I ended up at the Rogers Centre on July 1st which just so happens to be Canada Day. They had the roof closed due to excessive heat, and everyone was wearing red (and we got there in time to get one of the red caps they were handing out). They had a big ceremony for Canada Day. The only thing I didn't get to hear was their horn, never hit a HR and didn't win, but got to see one of the better wall climb catches in the MLB. (Stuck his foot into the padding and actually ripped it open with the metal spike to make the catch.)
If you’re talking about the boxes on the left of the picture for globe life park, those are the press booths, all the radio and tv commentators sit in there, if it’s out past the outfield that you’re talking about, there’s a restaurant and team offices
I have been to many Cardinals games at least 2 a year and I'm 15 and I love Busch Stadium. The stadiums surroundings aren't the greatest but it is a great stadium and I would love for you to come down to STL and watch a baseball game then maybe go see a Blues game.
PNC Park is gorgeous! The Roberto Clemente bridge, the skyline with the scary pointy “gargoyle” building, the Allegheny (people boat and kayak waiting for balls to land in the river). The right field wall is 21 feet high in honor of Roberto Clemente, and in centerfield there’s this big set of hedge bushes that are trimmed to say “Pirates”. Also THE PIEROGI RACE. Highly recommend, it’s a great park all around!
Fun note about Minute Maid Park in Houston. The reason why there is a train above the left field wall by the window is that building behind that is actually the old Union Train Station. The Astros use it now as its team office building and every time the Astros score the train horn goes off and when there is a home run the train goes down the track. A great detail about the history of the old downtown district before the park was built.
That's an old picture of Coors Field. Those empty seats you saw were replaced by an area called "The Rooftop" a few years ago. It's basically just a giant bar where all the people who go to the game to drink hang out. It was a good business decision by the Rockies though, because no one ever sat in them and now it attracts lots of people. Also, can you do a ranking of the MLB stadiums from the outside like you did with the NHL arenas? Some stadiums have some really awesome architecture on the outside.
Yeah Target Field has something like that down the 3rd base line ....Budweiser has a nice bar type place . Quit drinking years back so haven't experienced the bar area but very visible from my seats . Nice park
Some ballparks are more of hitter's parks or pitcher's parks. This usually has to do with the distance of the fences and the altitude of the park, as fly balls go farther at higher altitudes. Circa 2015 season, the parks are as follows: Angel Stadium- Pitcher's field AT&T Park- Pitcher's field, even worse for left-handed batters due to the deep left field wall Busch Stadium- Slight pitcher's field Chase field- Hitter's field Citi Field- Pitcher's Field Citizen's Bank Park- Neutral, slight advantage to hitters Comerica Park: Hitter's field Coors Field: Most Hitter-friendly park in the majors, likely due to the high altitude and the deep fences that allow for extra base hits Dodger Stadium- Pitcher's field Fenway Park- Hitter's field Globe Life Park (Rangers Ballpark in Arlington): Hitter's field Great American Ballpark: Hitter's field U.S Cellular Field: Hitter's field Kauffman Stadium- Hitter's Field Marlins Park- Neutral, slight pitcher's advantage Miller Park- Hitter's field Minute Maid Park- Neutral, slight advantage to hitters National's park- Hitter's field O.co Coliseum- Pitcher's field Oriole Park- Hitter's field Petco Park- Pitcher field PNC Park- Pitcher's field Progressive Field- Pitcher's field Rogers Centre- Hitter's field Safeco Field- Pitcher's field SunTrust Park: Data not available Target Field- Hitter's field Tropicana Field- Pitcher's field Wrigley Field- Neutral Yankee Stadium- Hitter's park Edit: Source: www.espn.com/fantasy/baseball/story/_/page/mlbdk2k16_parkfactors/which-parks-most-least-favorable-fantasy-baseball-hitters-pitchers-mlb#CHC
in the sun trust park clip, the ballpark wasn't completed yet. if you look at the outfield wall, the padding hasn't been installed and the grass looks like it was recently layed
Wrigley Field is now 104 years old it had its they had it Centennial anniversary in 2014 and the newest part Wrigley the Left and Right field jumbo trons those 1st years in Wrigley was the 2015 season.
Globe Life Park Office Building Floor 1: Restaurant, Gift Shop, Kids area Floor 2/3: Office space rented out by local businesses Floor 4: Rangers Offices
That building that you see at Camden Yards is actually a original warehouse that was actually in use before the park opened up. Camden Yards is one of my favorite ballparks in the MLB, it is a beautiful park with lots of charm and a unique feel to it. I have been there once before and it is a great place to watch a game, I would love to go back there soon and watch a game again.
The funny thing with comerica park is the bull pens were in right field when it opened and left field was deeper. People complained and they moved the bull pens to left and filled in the old ones with seats. This was done back in 2003
So... I'm a Pittsburgh guy and I have to say that is a bad picture of PNC Park. It is also very dated. This picture was clearly taken before 2008 because The US Steel Tower doesn't have the UPMC Logo. The grass spot below the batters eye is also dated because it has grass and trees while now there is no trees and the grass spells out Pirates.
Me and a friend just finished visiting all 30 ballparks and it's nice to see that you really didn't bash any of them. The cool thing about baseball is that every stadium is different. Each has their own personality.
Neil likes standards for baseball field Brent likes no standards and Chris likes fatties :/ Also people have Tropicana Field because the roof blends in with the ball and so you can’t see the ball.
SunTrust Park where the Braves play is the newest park in the league. The picture you used was when it wasn't completely finished and they began playing there in 2017.
The big building at Oriole Park is the old B&O warehouse. The park was built on an old 1800’s B&O Railroad station called Camden Yards. It’s also the site where there was a civilian riot in the Civil War and there were civilian casualties as they attacked the Union soldiers there. Being at Oriole Park in person is amazing, the park is gorgeous.
The thing about SunTrust Park is that you had a picture when it had just finished construction so you didn’t get a picture of its landscaping, so from experience, it’s pretty good.
YES! They love Miller Park! I personally, even though I'm from Green Bay and live with Lambeau Field, love Miller Park more for some reason, even though it's like half the cap, it looks SO much more massive because of that roof! Yet inside it looks so intimate, so charming, it's so pretty, it's one of those stadiums in baseball that was truly built right the first time. Even though it's not really accessible by public transportation, it's SUPER easy to get to by car. It's surrounded by like 4 highways in every direction, ample parking, it's not far from downtown so it's accessible by frontage roads too, it's just a near perfectly built park. It's only flaw is that it's not great for able bodied people because there's so much parking space.
Hockey Scouting Reports with Matt Levine the issue with Chase field is it’s so large it’s really cavernous and hard too fill in Arizona on a regular basis. Plus because it’s in the middle of a dessert the heat hasn’t been kind too the stadium and field.
John Farr I was a season ticket holder this year, and when the diamondbacks were winning the central, it was still empty, I remember one Saturday game, and it was so empty, u could head the players talking from the upper deck, because the Cheering was dull due to no one there.
John Farr They’re using turf this coming year to try to cool it down, meaning they don’t have to open the roof before the game for hours because the grass needs to grow
Note about Camden Yards (Orioles Park): that building you were debating about what it was; if a homerun is hit and hits a brick they put a plaque on the brick.
The Minnesota shaped sign in center field is two guys names Minnie (Minneapolis Millers), and Paul shaking hands over the Mississippi river, ala the Twin cities Minneaoplis and St. Paul. The sign lights up and shows them shaking hands after a home team home run.
Angel stadium is absolutely huge, and you can see the Honda center from your home plate seats. The outfield has less seats than typical stadiums, but angel stadiums capacity is 45,000
most of the fields with roofs are retractable and will be open on nice days, also about wrigley field: those lights were pretty much the newest thing until the past few years under the new owners. they added a small screen in right field and a huge one in left field. also about the grass, some of the pictures were taken at parts of the year where stuff might not grow, and your guys least favorite (suntrust) look like it was taken while the field was still under construction, as it is very new and you can kind of see the padding isnt on the walls yet
The cool think about Philadelphia I've been there and all 3 stadium are all side by side Eagles, Flyers, 76 ers, and Phillies...which is cool and Texas rangers are beside the Dallas cowboys AT&T stadium... I've been there but I have to uber because they don't play in Dallas.
Great video once again! Chris is great. Sad you guys didn’t notice the Liberty Bell at the top of the center field stands, left of the upper level seating in right field. At night it lights up and after every Phils home run and win it tilts from side to side as bell ringing sounds through the ballpark. Center Field concourses are amazing and beautiful.
The picture you got of SunTrust Park was from when it was first built they didn't have padding on the outfield walls and they had just put the grass in when that photo was taken
The Astros park used to be named after ENRON hehe. But it used to have a hill that was in play in center field complete with flag poles. It was ridiculous, but I’m sad that they flattened it out a couple seasons ago.
Watching the sun go down at Great American makes for a perfect night. Especially when the Reds smash homers or win and the fireworks go off. It’s a very home-y, accessible ballpark and I love it.
You’re pick of Nats Park is older probably when it was first opened. Now their is much more building development completed and still going on beyond the Outfield.
Your Coors Field picture is a couple years out of date. A couple years ago they took out the top half of the deck in right and replaced it with a "party deck" with a bunch of restaraunts. They also got a new scoreboard this year which is over three times as big and shaped like a mountain. Check it out!
I wish that there was more to thid video besides, "yeah, looks good. Next." It was even said that baseball stadiums are great because they are allowed unique field shapes which gives personality. There should be some history, some look at design, or something said about the team. This is the first video I've seen by you guys, but I take it you're not big on baseball - which is fine - not every sports fan is. I just feel like more reseach could have been done here. By the way, here are some facts worth noting: Tropicana Field's roof doesn't close. The building behing Angels Stadium is the Honda Center. Nobody uses artificial turf anymore. OCo Coliseum is a multi-purpose stadium; The Raiders play football there and the A's play baseball there. There used to be a hill in center field at Minute-Maid Park called Tal's Hill, which was removed in 2016 and it had flag poles on it that were in-play, so if you hit one (technically even at the top) the ball would still be live.
The only stadium that is completely indoors (not a retractable roof) is Tropicana Field. The only two fields with turf are Rogers Centre and Tropicana Field.
I love architecture, especially stadiums and arena's. My personal favorite are PNC Park, AT&T Park, Great American Ballpark, Kauffman Field, Wrigley Field, Fenway Park, Angel Stadium, and the Rangers new proposed ballpark looks pretty sick.
Fenway Park is the oldest baseball park in America. It’s been around since 1912 making it 106 years old. Wrigley Field is second. It’s been around since 1914 and it’s 104 years old
Just saw my first ball game at Rogers Centre a week or so ago. Loved it. Not as much as hockey, but there's something to be appreciated about how massive ballparks are
As a White Sox fan I still call the ballpark Comiskey Park what I used to be call and what the old park was known as. I call all the ballparks and hockey arenas by their old names I hate the companies getting naming rights. Now I'm not anti corporate or "fight the power" politically but I just dont like their names on sporting venues, I grew up with the original name.
Minute Maid Park the one with the train, not only does it have a Train but every time the Astros hit a HR or score a run it run a long the track, and the horn sounds.
Note: This was filmed over 6 months ago, and due to technical difficulties I was just able to release it now. The camera didn't record during part of it, so I was deciding if we should re-shoot it entirely or I just do a voice over for that specific part. actually its the los angles angels not the Anaheim angels. They used to be the Anaheim angels but not anymore
MorePost2Post my favorite stadium is the Wrigley field Chicago because I’m from Chicago and I always go to a cubs games all the time
Tropicana field use to be the home of the lightning. fun fact
dgb198282 really it doesn't look like a hockey arena
Ronnie's hockey show Ya they played their before amalie arena was built.

InterstateKyle they're names los angeles angels of Anaheim
xPARADOX 35 no it’s not look at the official MLB website and their Facebook page it’s the Los Angeles Angels they’ve been that name since 2016
InterstateKyle it has been way longer than 2016😂

I found better photos in under a minute

Damn, they had HD video boards in 1980? Wow, those must be really old if the lights are newer...
Glasterz I like the sarcasm lol the lights are not the newest thing in the stadium the scoreboards or video boards are not sure why they make videos on many other sports not knowing information about them

Tropicana is garbage
Jonathon Janson The diamondbacks are also using turf( In the 2019 MLB season
1:52 The Building in the background is Honda Center where the ducks play
Was that the honda center where the anaheim ducks play in the backround on the first mlb team?
Donald Metzger yes
Fun note for Brent about Wrigley, the lights were donated by the military as a thank you because during ww2 the Cubs made a donation to the war effort instead of installing lights on the stadium.
The guy in the middle cared about the grass way too much, lol.
Danny Capps “look at that LANDSCAPING”
The NHL attendance record was set by the Lightning at Tropicana Field. (Then called The ThunderDome)
Y’all grabbed an old photo of Coors field before the upper right field seats were renovated to a massive bar restaurant area!
We used the best images we could based on copyright.
I love Busch Stadium, by far my favorite my favorite MLB stadium.......but I’m a bit biased..Go Cardinals!!
Hey Tyler go cards. I do miss old Busch. Did you ever get a chance to see it?
Card going all the way!!!
1:59 That building in the back looks kinda like the Honda Center (ducks home).
I have been to many Cardinals games at least 2 a year and I'm 15 and I love Busch Stadium. The stadiums surroundings aren't the greatest but it is a great stadium and I would love for you to come down to STL and watch a baseball game then maybe go see a Blues game.

Circa 2015 season, the parks are as follows:

Busch Stadium- Slight pitcher's field
Chase field- Hitter's field
Citi Field- Pitcher's Field
Citizen's Bank Park- Neutral, slight advantage to hitters
Comerica Park: Hitter's field
Coors Field: Most Hitter-friendly park in the majors, likely due to the high altitude and the deep fences that allow for extra base hits

Wrong, WrestleMania was at the SkyDome in Toronto just the year prior
Suntrust park was actually brand new and the grass had just been grown, so It didn’t have all the landscaping lines.

most of the fields with roofs are retractable and will be open on nice days, also about wrigley field: those lights were pretty much the newest thing until the past few years under the new owners. they added a small screen in right field and a huge one in left field. also about the grass, some of the pictures were taken at parts of the year where stuff might not grow, and your guys least favorite (suntrust) look like it was taken while the field was still under construction, as it is very new and you can kind of see the padding isnt on the walls yet
Nice video, I've been to 3 major league stadiums. Rogers centre, PNC park, and Fenway park. Great stadiums
Matthew Mirowski I've only been to Miller park
Miller Park is my favorite MLB stadium that I have been to
The twins picture was set up for the rivals game of the college of St. John’s vs st.thomas were the get 10,000 plus at the games
Hey what stadium is 1402 at that time in the video does anybody know
Arizona has a pool in their stadium by center and right field
yeah I remember dodger players going in it to celebrate nl west title
PNC PARK GAVE ME GOOSEBUMPS
The cool think about Philadelphia I've been there and all 3 stadium are all side by side Eagles, Flyers, 76 ers, and Phillies...which is cool and Texas rangers are beside the Dallas cowboys AT&T stadium... I've been there but I have to uber because they don't play in Dallas.
the way you say "aboot" i love it
Great video once again!
As a red sox fan I'm disappointed the red sox bit lasted less than 10 seconds lol
I like the St. Louis Cardinals
AT&T Park is the best ballpark, followed by PNC Park. Tropicana Field and Oakland Coliseum are the worst ballparks
I know you made this video a few years ago and I’m commenting in 2020 and I wish you guys to rate or rank NASCAR tracks cause I love NASCAR
They are basically all the same these days. Just cookie cutter tracks in different locations. Not like the old days :(
Post2Post Productions that’s true I just thought I would ask
The picture you got of SunTrust Park was from when it was first built they didn't have padding on the outfield walls and they had just put the grass in when that photo was taken
Come on down to STL would be happy to take yall to a game.
NASCAR venues ranked?
For Angel Stadium, the building in the background is the Honda Center, home of the Anaheim ducks
The Astros park used to be named after ENRON hehe. But it used to have a hill that was in play in center field complete with flag poles. It was ridiculous, but I’m sad that they flattened it out a couple seasons ago.
Jordan Lacoste Tal’s Hill was iconic for sure, but I think it looks better without it. Watching games from the new bar area out there is amazing.
For the Mets field, the Pepsi logo you talked ab used to be called the Pepsi Porch, now they changed it to the Coca Cola Corner
It’s the Honda center yoo
FYI in the epl there are different sizes to the pitch
In Kansas City, they have a waterfall in the stadium.
Watching the sun go down at Great American makes for a perfect night. Especially when the Reds smash homers or win and the fireworks go off. It’s a very home-y, accessible ballpark and I love it.
On the Northside of Chicago, Illinois, would be where where the Cubs play their home games, starting in 1914.
The cool thing about marlins park is the roof and the windows open up and there’s a place where you can walk
The scoreboard for Kauffman Stadium is supposed to resemble the Kansas City Royals logo.
By the way, here are some facts worth noting:
Tropicana Field's roof doesn't close.
Mike S Tropicana and Rodgers Centre still use turf
I'm with you, Ted!
Jacobs Field for me! Also the Gund, and Cleveland Browns Stadium.
1:21 it's the Los Angeles Angels
Tropicana field is the smallest seating wise. But target field is in a compressed area but has 47,000 seats
Minute Maid Park the one with the train, not only does it have a Train but every time the Astros hit a HR or score a run it run a long the track, and the horn sounds.
13:45 the only ballpark I've been to...
So far
come to stl and see a game!!
Great video! Can u do one with the outsides of the stadiums?
In the background that is the Honda Center
