I agree with you about shaping the petals without having to use heat. I came across this by accident because I was looking for another video & was about to purchase a kit from another company which I won’t name.
Have just ordered my first lot of foam...am so lucky to find your demos, your flowers are gorgeous...I can only hope mine will actually LOOK like flowers! Thank you for the way you describe everything.
Gorgeous!!! I actually gasped out loud when that petal ripped on you! Lol. You didn't even bat an eye! It turned out beautifully. I'm going to go ay with my foam that just arrived today... new addition to my cards! Yay flowers!
Each of your tutorials are more than perfect....than you so much for sharing your talent with us.... I am in Canada and can not find the foam you are using, but will keep searching.....Take care, Pat
Your roses are so, so beautiful! You have explained everything so well. I only hope mine will turn out to be at least half as beautiful as yours. Thanks for the tutorial, Emilia.
I absolutely love your roses, Emilia! I looked for the Spellbinders Rose Creations Die Set but couldn't find the set you used. It would be wonderful if you could add a link to where the dies you used can be purchased so those of us who want to experiment with making the roses would be able to create the ones you did. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful creations!!! God bless...
I believe it is sold out I bought mine on clearance quite awhile ago it is spellbinders check them they may not make it anymore this video 2018. You could try crafters companion as they do foam flowers
I found a couple of pretty dies and have received my foamiran, so I'll be playing with my new stuff! Now that I have the necessary items, I'll re-watch all of Emilia's videos and try my had with making roses!!! Thanks for the response!!!
Hi Emilia. Just to let you know I've done it and its turned out great. The only problem I had thought was the outer petals were a bit long but after practice doing what you did it turned out great I even made a bud with 3 of the smaller petals you use. Next one today will be a silk one. Thank you so much once again hugs and luvs xxxx
Thanks for ALL your videos specially fomiran flowers as this is a new material for me ! I don't have pastel colors but when I use distress inks Rangers the color fades after heating for molding !!any suggestions ??
Muito lindo você e maravilhosa a melhor que explica no yutube pela no Brasil se uma vergonha p achar foamiran, agora que está vendendo uma folha de 30 centímetros não dá para fazer nada com este tamanho, amo seu trabalho! ❤🇧🇷
Wonderful suggestion using foil to create your cone. I used small Styrofoam balls, cut and shape . . .using foil is more cost-effective. Love the roses
All your creations are Beautiful!! looks so easy BUT have to go little slowly being a beginner for this material , we get .08 foamiran and not.06 which you are using in this video!!
Hello and good afternoon Emilia. Thank you for making this brilliant tutorial. And as others before me have said, you make flower making look easy! I have practised this particular rose but the one thing that evades me is the rolling back of the petal!!! Do you have any advice please about using a different technique to achieve the same image of the rolled petal. Thanks again for your superb tutorials. I look forward to your help! Kind regards Joyce
thank you!!! if you struggling with rolling the petals back maybe you could use tooth stick to help? you can also touch the edge of the petal to the hot iron (not very hot, 2 dots, silk ) foamiran will start to curl :)
I also have another question for you, please. The tutorials I have seen, of yours, you don't seem to use the iron technique for heating the petals before squeezing and twisting them. Do you feel you are achieving exactly the same results without having to heat the foamiran. Your way, without the heat from the iron appeals to me as it is more straightforward, not so much messing about!!!! Thank you Emilia. Joyce
These are so beautiful and thank you for the tutorial. I have been looking for the same die you have used in this and being in the UK I cannot seem to find it anywhere. Any advice as to where I can purchase this please. Thank you
Great tutorial, thank you! I was working along with some pre cut shapes at the same time to practice. Need to get lots of practice though before they turn out like yours! 😀🌹
Oh, WOW it is so pretty! I have to know - is it 0,6 Foamiran or Silk Foamiran you are using for this wonderful rose? I just have to try it. I have made roses with "ordinary" Faomiran 0,8 (I think it was) and an iron, but they did not become as beautiful as this one.
Emilia, What do you find to be the difference in the Spellbinder "Rose Creation" die and the Rosy Owl "Heart Flowerl die that you used in another video? Does it relate to finished size, variation of use, ease of forming, etc. Id like to try and have just one rose petal die in my collection. I see that the Rosy Owl appears to be backordered from locations that I've been checking. Think I'm hooked on this Foamiran product! By the way, is there much difference between the .6 and .8mm, when used strictly for flower construction? Thanks
The difference between those two dies is quite remarkable and you will get different flowers, I designed heart flowers especially for ordinary flowers but I also made a rose with it but the rose with heart flowers is very different, also size is different, the biggest Spellbinder die is much bigger than the heart flower die so the finished flowers is also bigger:) Foamiran 0.8mm is thicker less strachy and much harder to work with, if you can get 0.6 I suggest you to do that :) thanks a lot :)
Beautiful and I love the fact that it is possible to shape the petals without the foam having to be heated up. Thanks for the demo.

Aha! Yes I will try the warm iron and also the toothpick. Thank you, I would never had thought of the tooth pick!!!
