Yes. It's actually one of the few movies I've audibly laughed in a long while. It's pure comedy and mystery-drama at the same time. Examples near the beginning: When Will Ferrell's character starts to hear the movie's narrator even though only the audience should hear. He starts screaming: "Hey! Who the hell are you?!! Shut up!! Shut up!! I'm trying to sleep! Stop describing everything I do!!".
It is, inequivocably, the greatest and most underrated drama of all time. Everyone changes. Everyone becomes a better person. Penny asks for more time and softens herself. Ana becomes less radical, and open to harold. Harold's change is obvious. Karen becomes a sympathetic person. There is no better film.
How is there even one dislike? Someone obviously is NOT wanted. *sigh* This is the kind of thing I think everyone is looking for in life. Someone that genuinely wants them in no uncertain terms.
Actually, that is one of the most original gifts that he could give to her. I never understood why she did not like them. I would be happy to accept it - it is actually a pretty cute gift and it is handy, too! I am always run of flours.
This scene is perfect and beautiful, so beautiful it breaks my heart everytime I watch the movie. This movie has the same kind of charm as the Princess Bride. Does love like this actually happen in real life? Or does it only happen in movies?
it wasn't until the 17th time that i saw this movie that i realized that he brought her "flours" .....haha, i thought he had flower bulbs in the bags .....:D
Yeah, this film may be cleverly written and well-acted, but it's still a "chick flick". Well, so what, dammit?! I still love it!!!

some disturbed people are so weirdly, smartly passionate and uncontrolably trueful! I want of of this sort! And if he brings me bread it will be a marriage proposal probably! hihihihihi! Cheers! BTW, Mr. Ferrel is a very good actor. He can deliver laughs and sorrows. V for Verônca
If i meet a girl that moves me like that I'd definitely bring her flours, flowers and MOONS sparkled with flours and flowers!! ......so I'm gonna start learning how to play guitar like him right now!!
strange, if i ran up to a girl on the street at night with a box full of flours for her and told her that i wanted her, she would most likely call the cops.
@cassony0987 lol whats funny about this scene is, well i'm brazilian, and at the movie theather you could tell exactly who could understand English by the synchronized "awwws" coming from the audience. It's just so cute ^^
absolutely brilliant. Loved how Will Ferrell delivered his lines.

This is the most clever, most touching romantic comedy ever written.
This scene simply kickes me of my heeles! This is soooo truly lovely and incredibly great! I love this movie! One of the greatest parts of the movie!

well, that's exactly what I think it's so cool about this scene... he would give her flowers, but as she's a baker he gave her FLOURS... it's cute...
This scene and the one right after it with the guitar are my favorites of the whole film.
Best scene of the movie.
Better yet, best scene of all movies.

she did like them. the moment when she actually what they were
every time I hear him say flours i think it's the cutest thing ever. It's just so adorably ridiculous.
One of my favorite movies, thanks!

I love the way he says "because I want you" that last time.
"I brought you flours"
Oh my god. Awesome and practical. Much better than its namesake. So cute!
I actually know a guy who gave a girl flowers. And he hadn't seen the movie
@PinuVF omg, this is like one of my fav movies and thats the first time i realized he bought flours. wow. it made it even better
@Calucifer13 Actually, you can see in the scene that she loved the gift.
Just goes to show, there is a very fine line between romance and stalking.

I'm a bit disappointed because it's flours and not flowers
Thanks for convincing me to watch this movie I just finished watching it, it wasn't very funny but it was a damn good movie.
The term for its kind of comedy is "Deadpan".
love this, does anyone know the name of the song that plays at the end of this scene?? it might be french?...
it's so dorky, but i totally melt everytime i see this
Is this movie worth watching as a comedy?
great! this is my favorite part of the movie!
There was a good song by The Spoons made for the scene. Almost as good as the actual scene.
@moutonhargneux He didn't bring her "flowers" he brought her "flours". French has nothing to do with it.
maggie gyllenhal is incredibly ( and oddly ) hot in this movie
that's a sweet scene... past the oddness of it all.

I hate puns ... but this is the sweetest gesture ever.
I kind of want a guy to give me flours
I'm pretty sure he meant awed, not odd! Even if not, it's romantic to think he said awed, 😊
this is my absolute favorite scene n te entire movei ^^
WTF who would dislike this scene?? Shame on you. I still love you, but shame on you.
I really want to know who should I bring flours to :(
