The danger of wearing fan clothing for the parks, even Disney bounding, is that people will constantly ask you that ever popular question: "Excuse me, do you work here?"
I've found good quality robes on amazon for like 60 bucks so there are definitely other options for robes out there so I'll only be doing casual clothing
Here's my guess about Disney allowing adults to wear costumes. I assume Disney is going to take the Universal Studios Wizarding World approach and allow people to wear the outfits. The reasoning behind this is because these officialy licensed outfits are generic characters jedi/sith. Just like wearing the wizard robes in U.S.W.W. If DIsney doesn't allow people to just wear the outfits they buy, it's going to be very very hard to enforce when people dawn the robes- even harder to enforce when talking about all of the non English speaking people visiting the park throughout the year. We aren't talking about trying to get into the park while wearing a specific franchise costume which could easily be enforced because it would ruin the emerson. But attempting to enforce a no costume policy once you have entered and payed money for a outfit. I just don't see cast members walking around and constantly telling adults who have kids they aren't allowed to wear outfits that potentially match their kids. That just isn't a very Disney thing to do. So with all those reason, I'm guessing that's why Disney will allow only officially licensed costumes to be worn.
@@Neitenth not 100% wrong. An don't be rude with your comment telling someone they are wrong. I was never specific of what costumes. An as of right now- Jedi Robes haven't been banned for adults.

I haven’t seen anyone in mandalorian armor yet. You are 100% on the no helmet rule. Disney world has actually been super lax about the costumes at their Galaxy’s edge while Disneyland on the west coast remains strict. A friend of mine Adam The Woo posted a video a week or two ago showing someone with zabrak makeup and horns at Galaxy’s edge. I personally wouldn’t try to wear full Mando armor just because it would be such a hassle if I was asked to take it off and put it away. But that’s just me. You CAN wear the tunics in the park but not the cloak? Also They don’t want anything covering the face or dragging on the floor. But different security guards will handle things as they wish...
Thanks for a great video. A question: What do you think the quality of the Jedi wardrobe will be? Will it be something that you can rock in the 501st/Rebel legion cos play team or will it be something simular to a Halloween costume? It would be great if you can buy "real costumes" that has a enough high quality to be able to join such adventures without being shameful. or even something that is as close to the original costume as you can get rather than cheap replicas. Johan.
I hope it’s 501st/Rebel Legion quality. I’m not super familiar with all the exact requirements for those groups, but I do know that they are very strict with a lot of tiny details. I agree with you 100% they should be that high of quality. It would definitely help justify the potentially high price. Like I would gladly drop a couple hundred on a Resistance pilot outfit if it meant I could troop with the rebel legion. It just makes it that much more valuable. My hopes say yes, but my experience with these type of thing says “don’t get your hopes too high”
The Dan-O Channel It would be great if you can get anyone who are into those groups to judge those item on they demand scale and see if it would work. I would love to buy a costume if its to that standard, even for a 200 dollar price. I hope they have plus sizes as well.
Johan M that’s a great idea for a video series. If this set of videos does well enough and I can afford to buy multiple costumes, I’ll do it. I know 501st has you submit multiple photos of yourself fully dressed. And they assess using the photos.
Disney's going to definitely make a huge statement on what adults can/cannot wear in the parks, because although frequent park goers and Disney fans know that adults can't dress up, Galaxy's Edge most definitely bring in people who aren't familiar with Disney's rules. Honestly I don't even think any of the costumes you showed in the vid will be allowed to be worn on the property, no matter how casual. I think it'll only be the t-shirts and other normal clothes we saw like the astrodroid button up.
@@Dan-O still nice to see that Disney is finally starting to provide nicer, more cosplay type items. Also I love all your vids so far on galaxy's edge!
If you work at Disney and see this comment please let adults wear costumes too, even without masks, it'll help with the immersion, maybe changing rooms at the entrances to Galaxy's Edge so that you can be in costume when going into the land, and just take the costume off when you leave the land. Everyone will love it, it'll make the experience EVEN MORE enjoyable for everyone.
This total remained me the Renaissance fair dress up as a character like I dress up as a Assassins creed I carried my costplay hidden blades, Dan O when I go play Air soft you dress up with you tactical gear and helmets Air soft is like Halloween everyday on the weekends. Agreed. Like what’s the point if you can’t wear it while you are there? Universal let’s people dress in Harry Potter costumes over at wizarding world... 🤷🏽♂️ but Disney does have their rules. Hopefully they change.
@@Dan-O Exactly, maybe a Halloween party, but once a year for an expensive costume? I don't find it worth it, if only we could wear them in the park, and then use it on Halloween party too well now then you know you've got yourself a costume to use every time you wish to go to Disneyland, and its truly a shame because i myself would love to wear it, it's just they give us no reason to do so..
But now that we know they will be selling pants... I’m curious how much they’ll be and what sizes? Pants have a lot of variables which is why assumed they wouldn’t sell them. Disney doesn’t normally sell pants other than infant and little kids sizes. Adult pants would be really weird for them to carry soo many waist sizes and pant lengths.
Yeah, You are probably right.
Maybe just change into and out of costume in the bathrooms
I have a feeling they will announce new information on May the 4th
This total remained me the Renaissance fair dress up as a character like I dress up as a Assassins creed I carried my costplay hidden blades, Dan O when I go play Air soft you dress up with you tactical gear and helmets Air soft is like Halloween everyday on the weekends. I would dress up as a Jedi Setnal, by the way thank you for showing the First Order stuff gear, I would love to give to the Resistance to help them a up hand, against the The First Order.
No offense but the belt buckle on the sith robe seems a bit cheap looking
The black one looks really
this is fun, would love to own a jedi robe
Do u know the sizes by any chance dan-o
I motion in favor of Dan wearing jedi robes and custom snap backs while doing any star wars video.
I'm into it.
@@Dan-O I mean, it would be another fun thing that sets your videos apart. By the way, the subtle things you're doing in post like the slow zoom on certain shots or your little snoke flashes, are really getting good. Im glad the like count is starting to go up for you, its definitely been earned and deserved.
My main curiosity about the outfits is are there gonna be boots to go with them? Cause Id find it weird having Jedi robes and you only have flipflops on lol
Haha that's a verrrry good point. I didn't see any boots on display, also would they carry pants? Soo many size options it seems easier if they just didn't...
@@Dan-O I could see them doing pants but the type that has like multiple buttons to fit a multiple of sizes and just have like 3 sizes that will increase the number, boots would be nice cause finding ones for me are already super hard on the internet

I am so excited
I’m sorry if they’re going to sell these robes and not allow you to wear them they’re going to lose sales. I would only want to purchase one of those to wear in the park or Halloween what other use would I have for it? I wouldn’t consider this a costume seeing that anyone could be a Jedi but not everyone can be a Disney character when there is only supposed to be one of those characters.
I agree 💯
Question is can you screw with the cast members by speaking mando
🤔😅
I’m gonna hope to learn Huttese...
another great informative video however why would they put all these awesome clothing types and not let people wear them? (talking mostly about the jedi/ sith outfits), can't wait to spend all my money on these outfits
The 3rd mannequin was a episode 8 rey
I hope they have a 3X Jedi robe
LOL Youngling transport
I hope they are cheaper than anovos. But, being star wars I bet they are expensive.
Me: oh the elemental and nature saber, made part from Bylark wood id imagen as being rare and strong as metal. (Info from CW) oh it’s the creatures from Atollon. (Rebels) I’m so ready 😂 I even have a whole back story for my SW OC I’d play out while there!!
Can you use other Star Wars lingo in galaxys edge and also when you go can you do Jedi mind tricks?
You don’t need to see my identification 👋🏽
You will give me a 75% discount on your crazy prices
you will give me free lightsabers
When I go I'm going to get robes make a light saber make a droid
That sounds like the right order to do things
@@Dan-O Personally I would skip the driod as I have an RC R2-D2 at home as well as a few Bandai Star Wars Driod kits like R2 and one I'm repainting into a custom green with silver scheme I am dubbing R2-M12 and one I will get to after that that will be R4-P17. But for sure getting robes and building a light saber.
Man.. I've seen Darth Vader dance.
I don't know what it will be. And I won't believe anything till I see it.
Its reys ache-to
wonder if any will speak mando'ade
So wait if we drop 200 on a Sith robe then can't even wear them? That's bs
Agreed. Like what’s the point if you can’t wear it while you are there? Universal let’s people dress in Harry Potter costumes over at wizarding world... 🤷🏽♂️ but Disney does have their rules. Hopefully they change.
i like the costumes but if i can't wear it in the park i find no reason to buy it, is not like i can wear it anywhere i want xD
Yeah, that’s my issue with it too. I really like the robes and the pilot flight suit, but when am I actually going to wear it?
@@Dan-O Exactly, maybe a Halloween party, but once a year for an expensive costume? I don't find it worth it, if only we could wear them in the park, and then use it on Halloween party too well now then you know you've got yourself a costume to use every time you wish to go to Disneyland, and its truly a shame because i myself would love to wear it, it's just they give us no reason to do so..
#sadbabysquad Dan-o snoke LoL 😂
Yes they are selling the pants.......why didn't you ask them instead of guessing? Here's a guess.......you didn't even bother going to Chicago.
I've stated that multiple times. You must be new here. welcome.
Let’s just say it was an educated guess? 🤷🏽♂️
Hi
Anikan had a black robe but he wasn't a sith
I hate that everything is based off the sequels they need to keep it og amd have some clone wars based stuff
Haha clone wars isn’t OG. 🤦🏽♂️ but there is a lot of references to original trilogy stuff all over. And I agree it would be nice to see some clone wars references. But the timeline is right now. And it makes total sense
@@Dan-O i meant to have OG trilogy and also clone wars lol
Wooho
im just afraid my mom wont care and my dad will want to wear his 'nice suit vader' shirt
HeLlO tHeRE
gENEraL KEnOBi
I thought we can’t dress up at Disney parks?
Jeez....take my money
