The marriage sedan scene will hit you so hard once you've finished the novel. The first time I've read it, I was so giddy and the butterflies in my stomach are just everything. But after I finished reading the novel, coming back to that moment makes me feel so nostalgic that a pang can literally be felt. It just hits different knowing that after 800 years of searching, Hua Cheng finally found the love of his life. 😭

Wangji is such a devoted husband and WWX is the ultimate example for me for a badass independent powerful person but at the same time being able to be highly commited to someone. but I haven't been into HOB that long so I don't think I have enough insight into it to compare it to Hualian. Xie Lian is my favorite character; his complexity, themes, and morals really speak to me. I love the romantic aspect of TGCF, but what really stands out with this story for me is the character development of Xie Lian. It is just so well written and moving that as a writer it just really inspires me.
I feel like MXTX is the master of character development :D and of complex relationships, just how many characters are there and everyone has a story and their own reasoning, its too amazing xD I love how even that bamboo hat has its story explained hahah

This novel portrays romantic and godly love very well. Even though people ridiculed him, Xie Lian didn’t have the heart to hate them, he saw evil spirits as spirits that were wronged and that wrong caused them to become unrest/resentful and he felt pity for them. When people viewed Hua Chengs butterflies with fear, he thought those butterflies were beautiful. There’s a lot of depth to the novel and usually many novels miss that.
this couple is... to much for my heart. their chemistry is so perfect that my heart hurts. they saw each other at their worst, they saw each other's imperfections, but they stayed. they believed. this is so much more powerful than the words "i love you". "to die in the battle for you is my greatest honour." hua cheng, you're the man. you truly deserve each other and nobody can convince me otherwise. even if this is just pure fiction, you left a big impact in my life.

moreover, mxtx's novels don't need the words "i love you". their actions say it all. you can feel the emotions even just by the uke/seme staring at his significant other. ah, love. ❤

I have read more than 17 bl novels and tgcf is still my #1 novel ever. the only mtxt work in my top 10 list. well written plot with a strong foundation. people try to avoid the book because its long, lol feels sorry for them cause they are missing out mtxt best book.

You know it’s a great story when straight people love this show, gotta say I find this to be an unexpected gem for how smooth the relationships are and the personalities of the characters. I am generally invested in these two relationship and how it progresses. I never thought I would be so into a show if same gender relationships yet how they did it was just so well done and I look forward to season 2. This series is what got me to look into Mo Dao Zu Shi.
Me too. It really opened my eyes to Chinese anime as well as BL literature. It truly is a gem. I've already ordered the books and can't wait to read it once they arrive! The author also wrote other series as well, one of which (that I know of) has already been animated. It's called Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation, which I'm watching now on UA-cam if you haven't checked it out already.

I admit that scene where they're holding each other's hands while walking through a forest filled with bloody rain and gore did get a smile out of me, even if I wish the circumstances could have been better. I think this was what helped me decide that this series was a keeper.

This is my first ever BL NOVEL that I read. Most of the time when the manga/series is not yet done I would not bothered to read the novel but Heaven Official Blessing is in another level... I cried and mourn for hours when san lang was about to------- before I was able to continue the remaining chapter. That scene is immaculate!!!!

I remember coming to this show just because I had nothing else to watch. But after that scene I was so intrigued in what's going on I binge-watched the whole series, then ended up buying all the novels and finishing them in about a week. I never would have expected to find such a well crafted story, with amazingly well written characters and so much emotion behind it. Then when I came back to this scene again, because I just had to watch the show once more with the knowledge of what was going on and I couldn't believe how differently this scene hit me. Not to mention all the love and detail that went into how this scene was presented - from the animation, the music and so many more little details. It's baffling! Never in my life have I been so happy to run into something on a whim. So I'm more than happy to say that Heaven Official's Blessing is now one of my favourite stories and at the very least may favourite romance.

Words can´t describe how much I love TGCF, this is my first Danmei novel I´ve ever read, and no regrets. I just love Xie Lian so much, he´s my fav character fr, like I never imagined to love so much a fictional character, his backstory is really sad, I feel like he suffered a lot and he could be a great villain but decided to believe in humanity for a second time. Sometimes I forget how powerful he is because he´s literally a sunshine and I just really adore him. They are my fav couple like they love each other sm. @@mryjvrssthey do sell the novels in English now. Gege means older brother. We can call someone that as long as he is older even if not blood related. Often times it’s used as a form of respect as well. Xie Lian was the crowned prince and was promoted by the powers that be to be a god. But devastation fell upon his kingdom (and you’ll find out why as the story unfolds) and in that process he was demoted and most of his powers sealed. And his people blamed XL for all that’s happened. And through the 800 years he has lived through despair, hatred, anger, resentment, betrayal, faith, empathy, you name it. Because when his kingdom fell, him and his parents actually had to go into hiding with his 2 servants / sidekicks and they had to find ways to survive. So lots of drama drama drama. Understandable drama though, not mindless drama. And throughout the 800 years there were 2 constants, the enemy and Hua Cheng. Hua Cheng has always been there for him he just never knew. And now XL has ascended the heavens for the 3rd time (present time) cause he has the heart of gold 😂❤🎉, HC shows himself and started helping XL on his many missions. This novel is just delicious and the anime and song is just perfect. Hope this helps.
This is the most romantic novel I've ever read. I thought I'm already a die hard WangXian fan but HuaLian really wrecked me so hard and I'm so inlove with Hua Cheng. You know it’s a great story when straight people love this show, gotta say I find this to be an unexpected gem for how smooth the relationships are and the personalities of the characters. I am generally invested in these two relationship and how it progresses. I never thought I would be so into a show if same gender relationships yet how they did it was just so well done and I look forward to season 2. This series is what got me to look into Mo Dao Zu Shi.
Me too. It really opened my eyes to Chinese anime as well as BL literature. It truly is a gem. I've already ordered the books and can't wait to read it once they arrive! The author also wrote other series as well, one of which (that I know of) has already been animated. It's called Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation, which I'm watching now on UA-cam if you haven't checked it out already.

I admit that scene where they're holding each other's hands while walking through a forest filled with bloody rain and gore did get a smile out of me, even if I wish the circumstances could have been better. I think this was what helped me decide that this series was a keeper.
The fact that Hua cheng waited for xie lian for 800 years , he persisted to wait until he finally met xie lian and finally stand beside him and help him like how xie lian helped him, this love between this two are so magnificent , hua cheng didnt give up and still devoted his life to be thw number 1 worshipper /believer of xie lian
Their first meet itself has been demonstrated so beautifully my heart is not ready for everything that has yet to come

I remember coming to this show just because I had nothing else to watch. But after that scene I was so intrigued in what's going on I binge-watched the whole series, then ended up buying all the novels and finishing them in about a week. I never would have expected to find such a well crafted story, with amazingly well written characters and so much emotion behind it. Then when I came back to this scene again, because I just had to watch the show once more with the knowledge of what was going on and I couldn't believe how differently this scene hit me. Not to mention all the love and detail that went into how this scene was presented - from the animation, the music and so many more little details. It's baffling! Never in my life have I been so happy to run into something on a whim.
So I'm more than happy to say that Heaven Official's Blessing is now one of my favourite stories and at the very least may favourite romance.

Words can´t describe how much I love TGCF, this is my first Danmei novel I´ve ever read, and no regrets. I just love Xie Lian so much, he´s my fav character fr, like I never imagined to love so much a fictional character, his backstory is really sad, I feel like he suffered a lot and he could be a great villain but decided to believe in humanity for a second time. Sometimes I forget how powerful he is because he´s literally a sunshine and I just really adore him. They are my fav couple like they love each other sm. I don´t even know what to say like I feel so proud of being part of this fandom.

@@mryjvrssthey do sell the novels in English now. Gege means older brother. We can call someone that as long as he is older even if not blood related. Often times it’s used as a form of respect as well.
Xie Lian was the crowned prince and was promoted by the powers that be to be a god. But devastation fell upon his kingdom (and you’ll find out why as the story unfolds) and in that process he was demoted and most of his powers sealed. And his people blamed XL for all that’s happened. And through the 800 years he has lived through despair, hatred, anger, resentment, betrayal, faith, empathy, you name it. Because when his kingdom fell, him and his parents actually had to go into hiding with his 2 servants / sidekicks and they had to find ways to survive. So lots of drama drama drama. Understandable drama though, not mindless drama.
And throughout the 800 years there were 2 constants, the enemy and Hua Cheng. Hua Cheng has always been there for him he just never knew. And now XL has ascended the heavens for the 3rd time (present time) cause he has the heart of gold 😂❤🎉, HC shows himself and started helping XL on his many missions. This novel is just delicious and the anime and song is just perfect.
