Usually even in an alpha tribe only 2 to 4 people farm every now and again the whole tribe may pitch in but the majority of farming falls to less than 4 people. So how do they do it? Well let's go over how to efficiently farm and a farming loop to perform every day to stay ahead of the rest!

      the one thing that everybody does that I don't ger is that when they're farming they always drop all their inventory after hitting max weight. why do ppl do this?? I mean if you droped it you can't get it back cuz if you do you'll be stuck due to overweight, so why do people always drop their whole inventory when they are farming?? are they using some type method I'm not aware of??

      @@yKuroKenshi they do it, so they can inch over, pick it up, drop it, inch over, repeat to eventually get it to a storage or Dino - later when people unlock the tek suite, the pants can let you move without any weight limit at a slow rate, but until then, people inch over with that method 😁

      @@yKuroKenshi Not sure. When farming we farm for one resource at a time. So if its metal we will drop everything but metal when getting close to slot capped. Has nothing to do with wight though as weight doesn't matter. Of course with Stryders what your farming goes straight to your dedi so you just drop anything else it gets in the inventory.
      If you do not have a lot of grinders set up then when farming metal you might hang onto flint.

    Ive been an alpha and I've been a bob. Since gen came out, the best and easiest way to get paste is missions. If you have a decent Giga, the Velo Stalk on Gen 2 can be done in under 5 minutes and 3~ runs is a slot cap of paste. One run is a slot cap of flint/thatch. 2~ runs is a slot cap of stone/wood. It takes longer to wait transfer time than to buy basic materials.

    • @CamwayGaming
      @CamwayGaming  2 роки тому

      But thats not passive paste. Setting up an automatic paste farm is better in the end and doesn't require playing the missions multiple times for each slot cap needed. You just swing by during your rounds grab the paste throw it in a dedi and move on.
      Efficiency will also depend on where you have bases. Some people prefer to farm points and if your in a small tribe that may very well be the best way to go.
      If you have the ability to at least put farming/crafting outposts on other maps its faster to farm.
      Also on active pvp servers if you run a mission you generally get hunted making it harder to just farm missions you have to hide move and try to get the missions in before they find your new spot.

      @@CamwayGaming the video wasn't about passive only, it said to farm like an alpha. Just what we use to make one fob takes multiple slot caps of paste to make. If you had 30 of these little guys going, it's still take just under a day to get one slot cap. I saying most alphas don't bother with that when it takes under 5 minutes a run to get hexes.
      Keep in mind, each slot cap can take up to 15 minutes to transfer. Why anyone would want to transfer stone so slowly from abberation is beyond me, especially when, with a styder, just about every map has a location that will slot cap a dedi in under half an hour. That's 6 full slot caps of your inventory. Transferring the same materials to another server would take around 1 1/2 hours if you are quick about it plus the farm time. Alphas have a lot of members, they don't go all out waiting transfer timers. Each person will split up and go hard on one or two resources and one person might end up as base b*tch stuck organizing and crafting everything.
      Plus if the alphas are built on either gen, watch how fast most of it gets farmed from hex. Only the expensive stuff like poly, gunpowder, metal, crystal, oil, and element would be farmed the hard way.

    • @tonicus123
      @tonicus123 2 роки тому

      @@CamwayGaming that being said, there's a spot right by the freezing spores are in abb that will slot cap a dedi on x1 in under 10 minutes with a styder. Stone, any mountain on just about any maps will slot cap a dedi with a stryder fast as heck. Flint will fill up the same way. Stryder stink at wood but have a theri or a mammoth with a stryder will fill you up fast, or just a beast chainsaw and some tek leggings with a stryder for easy fill up. Only takes like 15-30 trees depending on what tree it is. Organic poly, the chainsaw works about as well as a doed in bee cave but with way faster movement with leggings. Tried the abb way but it really isn't much faster and way more dangerous. Element farm, we mostly did space caves on Gen 1. You can convert to hard ele and then grind it or just farm it on your respective map. Real pain to transfer ele off server unless you doed the extinction city for dust. Oil, go to gen 1 north volcano. There's a spot where you can drop 6 nodes of oil relatively close to each other. Drop a dedi and a styder for easy transit and bam. Probably the most annoying thing to farm in ark. Especially for vault drops where you need upwards of 500 vaults.

      @CamwayGaming  2 роки тому

      I missed hide in the video. We get our hide from meat farming for babies so not something I actively think about.
      Electronic farming takes quite a bit of time so rather than slot capping on pearls in 5 minutes and moving to the next resource cycling through everything once an hour you would be spending too much time on one thing. Which there is nothing wrong with its just a matter of what time is worth to you.
      if your tribe is only needing to stockpile one resource such as electronics then going for a slot cap of pearls is not as useful but if you're needing everything like alphas do then you just have a daily farm route you hit a couple times and you will soon have dedis upon dedis of resources.
      Also having a farm route set up where one or 2 people can work together and do once an hour you are more likely to get tribe mates to farm one time each a day and in an alpha tribe that means the route gets done 10-24x a day and each person only had to put forward one hour of their time. Spending too much time on one resource people lose interests and it is hard to get anyone to help farm.

      @CamwayGaming  Рік тому

      Bee cave on CI is nice but you have to move the organic poly off server with decay timers and server timers it can be a pain and you can only move 1 slot cap at a time / per player. The alpha tribe is always going to have a base on abb ,should be the shadow cave, where they do all of their metal farming and a lot of crafting so no need to transfer with poly making farming the poly on abb more efficient than in the bee cave.
      You could bring 10-15 players and fill them up I suppose making farming poly on CI better but then you have 15 x time spent on CI lost and if it doesn't add up to less than 1 guy farming on abb its a loss of efficiency.

    Bruh the best flint farm is not grinders. Tek Stryker + extinction desert or scorched earth and you can fill a dedi in about 5-10 minutes on official. Also you can farm gen 2 missions that take less than 5 minutes each and buy slot caps.

    • @CamwayGaming
      @CamwayGaming  Рік тому

      The name of the video is not best farming for a specific resource.
      Your numbers are a bit of an exaggeration.
      To use a Stryder on SE you need to have a way to protect it for the 12 hours it is stuck there. Having a base on SE is a waste of resources you have to be online at all times to protect it, it takes 3 people less than an hour to clap bases on SE.
      It would take a lot of run throughs of the gen 2 missions to get enough points to fill one dedi. While the velon mission can be beaten in 5-10 minutes. There is the time to go back and restart the mission which adds time making it closer to 15 minutes a run.
      Now the video is about efficiency. Most alphas do not have a base on SE some do and for them it may be beneficial to stryder farm flint.
      Stone is on every map no need to try and keep a presence on SE or to set and break down a fob every time you want flint.
      Alpha tribes always have dinos that need leveling so you have grinder days where you get a bunch of tribe mates to all log on and sit on dinos that need leveling while a couple of members fill grinders make flint, spark powder, gunpowder, and bullets all at the same time. The tribe mates on dinos can afk go to work ect.
      And while using baby gigas is great for exp it takes a lot of time to get gigas bred hatched and cryod up. Adding baby gigas to the weekly grinder leveling helps a lot.
      They key to staying ahead in Ark is time management and to always be doing something that takes care of as many things at once as possible and get as much going passively as possible.
      I hope that helps clarify in case I didn't talk about why you grind stone in the video.

    • @surge_8185
      @surge_8185 Рік тому

      @@CamwayGaming I see what you’re trying to say but when trying to be efficient are you trying to go for more xp than resource or more resource than xp? That depends on what you value more. So obviously if you value the xp portion then the grinders would be greater, but if you’re for the resource then the grinders are not the most efficient. Also you don’t need a base for either se or extinction just for farming some flint or stone. Ain’t no body with a life got time for that lol.
      I suggest to tame a low level stryder to leave on those maps to die after you have finished gathering the resources you need. If you want to be a true alpha xp farmer then baby gigas are your meal ticket.
      Edit: real alpha tribes have 100s of gigas to be bred once a day. So it’s not as hard to get baby gigas as you would think.

      Taming a dino to farm with once then spending hours moving slot caps to a different map is not efficient.

      The video is not about how to farm as a solo player. That is a whole different situation and a solo player will need different methods. it is extremely unlikely a solo player gets a skiff unless they buy one due to the difficulty of the boss fight.

      Interesting ways to farm. Some of them are just inefficient. If those methods make the game more fun thats great.
      Mouse mover is good enough for gacha towers and its a free microsoft program it can be set up so that you eat drink and pick up crystals. As far as scripting goes if you know how to build them it can open the crystals and put them in dedis for you but there is a certain level of automation that is ok but if it goes to far it becomes bannable so be careful using scripts.
      Most alphas will have the shadow cave on abb if not they will have a base there. Abb is a great place for crafting due to the high metal fiber and organic poly that can be obtained there within minutes.
      Having to fight waves for dust on extinction may be fun but it is time consuming requires several people and often times you will have to fight other players trying to interrupt you slowing the process down even more.
