- This video explores the abilities, powers, and origin of the Marvel Comics character "Abomination." From Emil Blonsky hailing from the city of Zagreb in Yugoslavia, coming to a secretive United States Air Force base in New Mexico as a Soviet spy, stumbling upon gamma radiation equipment designed by Dr. Bruce Banner to eliminate The Hulk's risk to the Earth, becoming a gamma-mutate after using the device on himself, retaining his intellect while gaining approximately twice the physical strength of The Hulk along with other unique superpowers, temporarily falling into the hands of powerful beings like the Stranger / Beyonder as well as super-villains (like MODOK, Mephisto, Tyrannus, and The Leader) using him as a powerhouse in their own schemes, The Ancient Order of the Shield reviving him after his first time passing away, to causing endless battles with his nemesis The Hulk and coping with the resulting collateral fallout as well; Let's take a look at this classic Hulk super-villain, and one of the strongest beings in the Marvel Universe. This includes a short, canon character biography and my own opinionated "Sage Rating," which I use to give ratings of comic book and science fiction characters.

Why? MCU sucks. It’s Disney. And too be fair Hulk has a dozen forms and the MCU one is one of them from the comics. And like in the comics he’s been nerfed lots of times because he’s too powerful. Like Thor, Surfer, Magneto, Cyclops, Strange, etc.

Ever since I saw him in The Incredible Hulk Ultimate Destruction, I consider him one of my favorite villains cause he could challenge the Hulk. Even across the years, he always comes back more dangerous and monstrous.

Abomination really is a neglected character he is literally the Venom to Hulk's Spiderman. A really good writer should attempt a multiple transformations and personas just like The Hulk , and She Hulk in fact I would say it should be mandatory. As Abomination should have been tied to the Green Door update meaning he should be immortal. Also his Yugoslavian background needs updating as the country doesn't exist as it once was as Bosnia seregevo.
It would have been really cool to see the Abomination have the potentially insane levels of strength in proportion to his anger/stress as the Hulk does but unfortunately Hulk has been written as a character with literally no limits to his potential physical strength and healing abilties .
Recently, The Abomination returned during the Incredible Hulk spin-off comic miniseries, Gamma Flight.
I've been following Abomination since the late 70s. Very good villain. His throwdowns with the Hulk are epic. Glad to see Emil Blonsky/Abomination back in the MCU. Great synopsis.

Skrull infiltrators often dont know that they are skrulls until their sleeper program is activated.
So he gained the super soldier serum, and hulks blood alongside his dormant skrull psychiology making him look like a very buff skrull

His face, ears, and skin just looks like that of a skrull, and if you compaire him to other super skrulls then you see the similarities in build, and the marvelwiki even states that super skrulls can be sleeper agents so there's a chance that Abomination doesnt even know he is one, or maybe even 1 of his parents are 1 or some other comic trope.
It's a wonder nobody else saw the similarities uptil now :/

Abomination is a classic and iconic villain. IMO, he may in fact be the Hulk's greatest villainous rival other than the Leader.

Abomination is on par with Maestro Hulk. Both of them are x2 stronger than the Savage Hulk at his base anger level. Joe Fixit (who's even weaker than a base anger level Savage Hulk) destroyed an asteroid twice the size of earth. Meaning that the Abomination is planetary+ on a low end and multi-planetary level on a high end. Even though we've never seen Emil bust a planet, due to his scaling heavily implies that he can. That also explains why Abomination is able to slug it out with guys like Thor, Savage Hulk, Wonder Man, Gladiator, Silver Surfer etc. Don't sleep on man Emil Blonsky, The Abomination!
Unless in was written wrong (by whose part I don't know), but if a Asteroid is 2x the size of earth....that's just a Dwarf Planet.
Which would mean that yes he would be able to bust open a Planet.
@@kevynhansyn2902 Plus I've seen a video where they actually calculate the asteroid feat and apparently the amount of force Joe Fixit destroyed that asteroid with would be enough to destroy the earth 29 million times over. I'm not bullshitting, go watch Comics vs The World's video on it. It blew me away.

One think you forgot to mention is that Abomination was way stronger than the Hulk and almost beat Hulk to death. So, Hulk found a way to depower Abomination so he wasn’t as strong as he used to be and that’s why he’s not as strong as he used to be. But a funny thing no one seems to see is how Abomination is to Hulk what Sabretooth is to Wolverine and Daken is Skaar to Hulk and X-23 is the She-Hulk to Wolverine. And may as well say Weapon-H is the one that brings them altogether lol.

At one point, Tyrannus had taken over Blonsky's body, thus that Abomination had telepathic ability. However, they ended up getting separated soon after.

Abomination is stronger and bigger than Hulk but Hulk gets bigger and stronger the more he gets angry. Also, Hulk's healing factor is much superior than Abomination's healing factor. Lastly, Hulk can turn back into Bruce but Blonsky is stuck as Abomination only in the She Hulk MCU show can he turn back into Blonsky.

Your info on the size of Abomination is way off. He's a full head taller than Hulk and obviously much heavier. I can't remember exactly where I saw that information,but I did see it. The information you have is outdated and depicts Abomination AFTER he was reduced from his original size after being hit with the gamma siphoning machine.

If you ask me, Blonsky is the Hulk’s arch- enemy. Everyone always lists The Leader as his arch-foe, but he’s really done diddly-squat over the years.

I feel like this villain needs a significant buff. Since hulk right now is too strong. Maybe give him the ability to absorb radiation. Which he can turn into something dangerous. That way if the hulk gets angry, all he does is make him stronger.
Abomination is crazy buffed,he's still insanely strong and has insane feats it's just that the Hulk is well the Hulk.. strength his Hulk's forte,they don't call him strongest one there is for nothing... Hulk will eventually whoop Abomination's ass as he should... Also Hulk can absorb Gamma so he could still take it back even if Abomination had that ability.. and given how unique the Hulk's potential is,even if Abomination had the ability to absorb radiation he would still lose to the Hulk has Hulk can keep generating Gamma that would be too much for Abomination... it's kinda like what happened between Hulk and Darwin durinf world war Hulk. Darwin tried to absorb Hulk's Gamma and there was no end to his Gamma.

So, the angry hulk got, the worst the posion was. Causing him to be knocked out and forcefully turn back to the banner.
