Love the idea of using holiday papers for non-holiday projects. I don't do Easter or Halloween cards but do use the papers for scrapbooking and there is always leftovers - now I can think about them differently
Doodlebug should have sponsored this video! I associate that brand with a cutesy style that I’m not very interested in. All of the coordination was super popular when I first started scrapbooking, so I was drawn to the brand, but usually the themes just were not my taste. there is a store I go to that loves that brand and has a section devoted to it, I will stop andlook next time. you did a fabulous job of showing how to think about papers differently. I personally do not celebrate Halloween, but I have many packs that I bought for the fall patterns. This process of how to separate it out and focus on the patterns in a different way is amazing. You do such a good job on all your videos, but this one, making me think differently about a brand itself, it’s phenomenal! Thank you for sharing.
Yes, I totally agree. I don't do Halloween cards either and also doing less Christmas cards these days. Amazing way to look at some of these papers! Thanks Jess
Great ideas, Jess! Thank you for helping us see our papers in a new way! (As soon as I saw the paper filled with all the monsters, my mind immediately went to seeing them as germs for a child's get well card! 🙂)
These are fantastic cards, what great ideas! I like the idea of making birthday cards with seasonal paper. I haven't used cute paper like this in a long time, but I LOVE the colors and the monster theme, SO CUTE!
❤ ADORABLE and useful cards Jess!!❤ Thanks for the cute ideas for seasonal papers too! How about Easter papers?!? Hmmmm LOL Hugs my crafty and creative Friend 💕💕👻 XOXOXO 👻💕💕
Another great video! Thank you for these great ideas that will help me to not eventually throw some patterned papers into the recycle bin and actually use more instead. 👍
I recently took out all papers from my pads and sorted individual papers under themes (plaid, lines, dots, spring, summer, etc) so now I’ll be more likely to use the single papers for anything I need rather than only seeing those papers when I pick up the themed paper pad (ie halloween, Christmas) bc the papers do work for other things!
hi Jess. Really appreciated your descriptions of the papers. Was a bit confused when we went from each card to each card. Maybe next time you could say card one and description card two and description. Thank you anyway really appreciate this video as I am Blind especially I appreciated the audio description like I said Donna Adelaide. 14:39
Great tips. Jess, I'm looking for the list you created for different crafting stores for certain states. I'm visiting Colorado and would like to find some crafty stores Thanks
Hi! The list includes craft thrift stores, but not traditional craft stores so you may want to look that up separately. jesscrafts.com/blog/craft-thrift/

Right on point! Looking at papers and thinking of "other" ways to apply them to cards makes our stash go further and saves money.
Very cute cards!

Super cute! That idea about covering up the holiday sentiment is specially helpful.

Omg so helpful! Any chance you could do similar with Christmas? I struggle to convert lol 💜
Here's a similar video using Christmas paper but I will probably do more like these in the future: ua-cam.com/video/ZtAJMjcyjF4/v-deo.html
