Love these other versions of these songs besides the 1965 album. Never heard these versions and it is really great to hear them here. I think Jackson could have made it to great levels in the music world had not so many, many dark roads engulfed him along the way. His talent was superb as a singer, a songwriter and guitarist. Too many bad things he had to face on each and every road he walked. It is sad beyond sad - his life with only a very few happy times, mostly his times in England. I often wonder if he ever sang with Sandy Denny, his girlfriend for a little while. Maybe they sang together informally at times where they lived in London in the 1960's but never recorded those songs. Can you imagine Jackson and Sandy singing together? My God, it would have been something to hear.
Thank you for posting. Beautiful music. Can't believe that I'm 70 years old and have only now heard this wonderful singer/songwriter. Rest easy Jackson.
just imagine the soul of a man that makes such masterpieces. Both in writing and in composing, but society kept him in dark until his death and we will never know more about him...
Patrick Sky authored this anti-war song and Sky passed away in May 2021.... thanks for unearthing this from the Jackson C. Frank archives.. Frank wrote to me from his Woodstock N.Y. place about his tragic life and his encouraging Sandy Denny to give up her nursing job for a career in music.... he lived with Simon and Garfunkel (and Al Stewart) in a flat near the London Docks area around 1965.
The session was aired on Marc Riley's 6 Music show a couple of years back, but it has also been commercially released as part of The Complete Recordings box set.

He was lost us all for so long. Couldn’t believe it when I finally discovered him ten years ago.

He lived it all. He felt it all.
Wonderful that this gifted musician is being shared again with the folk loving public. Thank you!
So beautiful. Love Jackson so much.

Simon produced Jackson's album recorded in London at that time. Al Stewart played a 2nd guitar on (I think) Yellow Walls.
Superb xxxx

Thanks for the hint - I wasn't aware of this release!
