Mets are more than the hottest team in baseball. They have the best record in baseball since June 1. That's 4 months. They are not just a hot team. They are a very good team.

At this point, it’s just two good teams facing off. Being “hot” doesn’t really mean anything anymore. The Mets did a good job of maximizing their advantages against the Phillies (force them to chase, aggressive, but selective against their bullpen). Dodgers don’t chase like the Phillies do, so the advantage (if there is one) is to attack their starters, force Roberts to go to the bullpen early and tax those arms.
The dodgers will probably use a similar strategy. The Mets don’t have the top end talent the Dodgers do, but their lineup might be just a touch longer.
Regular season matchup also doesn’t matter. All 6 games happened before June and before the Mets optimized their roster via trades and call ups. Bottom line is that I think these two teams are relatively evenly matched but it will be about whose strategy is executed better and obviously who plays better. Either way, it should be an awesome series.

Dodgers just beat the Padres and they only had two starters left from the beginning of the season. The rental is not doing so well for them. But that doesn’t matter, Dodgers could beat the Mets with their reserves. Any Mets fan that thinks otherwise it’s delusional. No miracles here. Unless they win one game, that would be kind of a miracle.

Padres took you to five games, we rolled the Phillies in four and it should’ve been three, but they got lucky in game two! The Mets are still in New York, doing their workouts there so they can use their own facilities, then will fly to LA later today. Mendy announced Game 1 is Senga for ~3 innings, they’ll decide who comes in depending on how the game is going (translation: Peterson if it’s close, someone else if it’s a blowout either way), Game 2 is Manaea. Nothing on who will start Games 3 and 4, but Severino and Q, in that order, seems like a good bet.

This is gonna be a classic we all have to watch but I got Mets because they beat Phillies which where a team dodgers had trouble going against now the Mets are healthy and got a big 3 on offense nimmo lindor Alonso these guys are hitting better then dodgers big 3 all though it may go back in forth in the series I believe the team that is most resilient in the mlb will come out on top which right now it’s the Mets the team who 1 inning away from losing in the wild card if it wasn’t for Alonso clutching up and went on to beat a stacked team Phillies. Chances are it’s gonna be a pitching classic but I know how good dodgers are but they haven’t shown traits of a championship team besides game 4 vs padres , the Mets aren’t favorites but I’m not gonna be suprised if they sweep dodgers or win in 6

Manaea needs an extra day. He’s never thrown this many innings in a season before. Senga’s going in Game 1 for ~3 innings, Manaea in Game 2.

@@angeldillemuthactor It’s not really a bullpen game; Senga plus Peterson (or maybe Megill?) should be good for 6 innings, maybe even 7. They’re better off doing it early in the series, when guys are fresh; worst case, they’re down 1-0. Mendy also said that they want to keep Senga on schedule. The team has WAAAAAY more information and experience than any of us do (nobody’s willing to pay us to make these decisions), so unless they do something egregiously stupid, I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt.
