So glad you two started this podcast, your dynamic is so perfect for a fun and interesting podcast ☺ Mckenzie, I'm so happy to see you working on the Sunshine Tee and as a fellow oldest I gotta say that counting the exact number of rows in the body for charting your intarsia pattern is serious oldest energy and I love to see it
Tonight is my introduction to each of you. You have a lifelong subscriber and I can't wait for the next episode. Now to the serious. Us poor middles. Even left out of most of the stitches listed. lmao. One days us middles will unite and demand to be seen. Thanks for an hour of smiles and laughs. Knitting Stitch: Knit stitch should be a middle. No one thinks twice when doing them. Plus its a foundation stitch like us. We are often forgotten but we are also the ones always there and reliable.
I have tried to find you guys and couldn’t and today I sat deeper and … yay !!! I found you. Love the sibling energy and really love watching you both and all the beautiful projects you make. Will watch all the episodes now 🧶💖
I was going to say I enjoyed knitting along with this as it feels so much like being in the company of pals at my local knit night, but as a middle child who spent a lot of time in the Adirondack mountains (!) I think I might be on team cancel 😂 My first thought for the birth order rankings is for small circumference knitting tools/ways to do socks ie two at a time/magic loop, flexi tips, dpns etc etc.
You are awesome. Been in your store once and love it! Since I can't make it to camp but always wanted to, I'll join the KAL. As a Patron of J. Berg, I love all her work, and the KAL starts in my break in grad school.
Absolute sibling energy that had me laughing so much throughout this episode! But switching a pattern from in the round to flat and seamed feels like *peak* oldest behavior 😂 Sincerely, A proud bobble middle child
Hi you two 😊 i live in the south of france where there is nothing knitting related near me i don't have a knit group and no yarn shop, it's hard for me. I felt like i was knitting with friends, i loved this episode so much thank you ❤️❤️❤️
I think for sure Stitch N Bitch and Vicki Howell made knitting "cool" in the early 2000's! That is when I started getting back into crochet after learning in childhood and taught myself knitting.
I’d like to put an order in for the Marie sweater, Teem, as it’s all elder energy, I meeeean. ..and I adore McKenzie’s sweater as it exudes the classic undertones of the eldest. We radiate fawncy reliability, no twirly skirts needed here, kids! 😘
I loved this episode so much especially as a youngest with one sibling who is also 13 years older than me so like, a third parent by the time I was a teenager
Looooooooove the two of you. This is so fun. Absolutely here for Sibling energy. Please give the -l will never knit but admire- „Alpenglow sweater“ your sibling reading. Tim… so lovely to meet you here, too… this was natural progress from vlogs to y yay- sofa, oh goodness, I giggled and cried. X thanks a lot for taking time to record … edit…upload!
This breathed life back into my soul as I knit 1x1 twisted rib on US 2s with a too-short stiff cable 😭 I love your energy together, this was meant to be!! For the next episode, can you weigh in on oldest-middle-youngest-only vibes for the Tolsta tee, the Sophie scarf and the flax sweater? Would love to hear your thoughts 🫶🏻
You two are delightful and I enjoyed this so much!! Also I’m dyyying for a Sheep Camp… but also having a baby in August so pullovers are not happening for a minute
This was super fun to watch! thanks for getting Tim on your channel :) I'm knitting a Paul Klee sweater and look forward to joining your sheep camp kal! much love
I love this! I laughed so hard 💖 I’m an oldest/middle (hello blended families) and I’d love to hear both of your thoughts on what the Latvian Braid child is. I’m currently crocheting the Granny Go Round Jumper and hope to get it done in time for my birthday on the 26th. (Yes I know totally oldest 😂😂) Can’t wait for the next episode!
You guys have great energy and you made me laugh so much. I also saw the Eddie Bauer at Jo-Anns I had the same reaction :D. PLEASE do this again, you guys rock!!!
I literally think it’s June all the time now, probably because that’s the month I get a vacation and I cannot waitttttt. Pattern ideas for ranking: Northeasterly Blanket by Skeinanigans, owls sweater by Kate Davies, Bereket by Toqu Tigu.
As a middle child I just want to say BrUh. Also these patterns…. Oldest? Youngest? Only? (since evidently middles don’t exist to you 👀👀) 1. Vertices unite - Stephen west 2. Once and Floral - Maxim Cyr 3. Sophie Scarf - petite knits All love, thanks for creating such fabulous content.
You two are so stinking CUTE!! I have been knitting with you this video and I love my new knitting buddies! I want to know what the Field Sweater is - I can't get a good read on it...is it a middle?
I loved the episode! As a middle child it brings me great joy to watch my siblings argue so this podcast is perfect to me 😂 Now I must know, is the TOEt Bag by Croaked It a youngest, oldest, or middle?
I just found you guys! but this helped me realize that I bring my eldest child energy into my knitting patterns. oops Oh and do entrelac knitting because it gives me only child energy.
So much fun! Tim, I want to know if your family has 2 oldests and 2 youngests, or 3 middle siblings. I am the 4th of 5, and could never figure out if i'm a youngest or a middle.
i'd argue that cables are singletons (no siblings) because while your doing it it may be difficult, if you step back and look and see a mistake your like 'oh fuck' - yeah that should have been by itself and not in that other cable smh
"YOU FINISHED IT??" "its a short sleeve gurl" I am obsessed with you two already. we need more funny, queer crafters making podcasts
