I've just picked up an identical one of these from eBay. I was going to do a Bluetooth conversion but I found your video and now I have an excellent roadmap do will attempt the full resto. Can you tell me what diameter belts are required. You went with 1.2 mm square cross section yes?
☹️ You didn’t demonstrate the MQSS ~ automatic track selection on the cassette recorder - interesting seeing those long orange buttons behind the play/ff/rw buttons, I assume you push both fast-forward and it’s corresponding orange MQSS button to push down the leaf-spring switch to activate the system. And what is that “editing” dial for?
Yes, as you say, the orange button in conjunction with the corresponding direction advances it, similar to the APSS and DPRS on the Sharp and Hitachi units. I couldn't get the Editor button to do anything, but I'm hoping someone will know what it does, so at least I'll know whether or not the circuit works. Once I know, I'll make a very quick demo video of the features all working. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
Another excellent video Dylan your attention to detail is second to none as always.
Thanks very much as always for watching, and for your kind words. This is a lovely machine 😊
This is a nice looking boom box. It's good to see it brought back to health.
Thanks! It's a beauty, and sounds pretty good too!

Quite a drawn out video and repetitive in places. Other than that, good content
