Pregnancy looks good on you Juj! Btw Hunter - They give out free phones to homeless people at service centers so they have access to a phone to call for help, as well as to be reachable for documents and things like that by the county where they get assistance.

Exactly and also people have to think that some may have had a a family member who is willing to pay a phone bill for the sibling or nephew etc., but doesn’t live in the same state or city to also bring them in to their home. Also, maybe they can’t bring them in for financial reasons, moral reasons, bc they have children or whatever reason, there are so many circumstances that could be. Lots of them could be on disability that won’t cover rent, phones and phone plans are so cheap now compared to how they used to be.
@@Rinney88 yeah true, you can get a free phone with a $20 prepaid card at rite aid as well so it's not that uncommon but i know in LA itself, there are free phone distribution booths especially in South LA areas and by county buildings where people collect benefits and things like that. There are some resources..it's not amazing and people are suffering and there is a lack of funding for mental health issues, but those who seek help usually do get some assistance.

My jaw dropped about your wanting to be back at the land you grew up on.
When I was pregnant and then had my daughter, all I wanted to do was be back in the town/house I lived until I was 9. I moved after that and probably lived in 3-4 more homes before going to college, so it’s weird that it’s THAT house and that town I wanted to be back in. I now live in Ohio and grew up in the Central Valley of California so I wanted to fly home and go. Finally when my daughter was about 3 months I did go to my mom’s house and I made her driving me to that town. We got out and I pushed my daughter in a stroller by stores we walked by as a kid. I drove by my elementary school, and of course by my old house. I don’t know why I needed to connect to that place and time. I told my mom it felt like the best memories. Her and I were the closest during that time and she was a stay at home mom so I have great memories of just her and I. When we moved she started working a lot and had my brother, so I think I longed for the times I had with her. I blamed it on me having my own daughter and wanting to have that connection with my daughter that I missed with my mom. It was just a weird feeling that out of the blue I needed to be home and back there. So you saying that shocked me, my mom made me feel a little crazy for wanting to do that haha. So I’m glad to hear that you’re feeling it too. My daughter is now 5 and I still am very nostalgic for that time and house. I randomly check Zillow to see if the owners are selling so I can see photos!

It broke my heart hearing Hunt say he went over to his grandparents house and got his grandpas favorite Nike sweatshirt & his coat. I started crying so hard. Being 30 weeks pregnant doesn’t help. My grandmother is 89 & she raised me since I was 6 weeks old. I know I don’t have much time with her left. She’s my mom & I feel so robbed of the time a girl gets with her mom 😢. I just love Julia & Hunt so much! 💜Tiff

Hunter there is a government Lifeline Assistance program which you can qualify a person for free phones and less expensive phone plans.
Most counties have programs that go out and provide free cellphones to those who qualify :) it’s so homeless people can keep in touch with shelters, case workers, or simply because a phone is a necessity. I see them out a lot in nashville and my hometown too!

Great talk about the homeless population. I have often wondered the same. I’m from California, Sacramento and the area is worse then San Francisco now. I do what I can for the homeless in my area, food, socks or blankets. I give money when I can. What gets me down is seeing the homeless with pets . I’ve paid a homeless guy 50.00 for his dog. I think my little Louie is happy to be off the streets. He’s been such a joy in my life. The man on the streets told me he had to pick who ate dinner most nights .My Louie will never worry about his next meal. He sleeps in bed with me every night ❤😊🐕🐾🦴

Having a home is much harder to have you need to make 3 times the rent an so many other requirements. Getting a cellphone you can buy one in Walmart and pay for minutes or even cricket. So it’s way more understanding for them to have a phone. Homelessness can happen to anyone. You lose a job. A death that causes your income to stop. Great topic to talk about.

Hi guys, I watched last nights vlogmas but didn’t do the giveaway because I wasn’t sure how lol (I’m old 🤦♀️). But I was just thinking about u guys this morning and wanted to let u know I’m kind of in awe what ur accomplishing at ur ages. Is it me?! My kids r all around the same age and nowhere near the stage in life that u two are! Also to spend every day working and living together shows what a solid happy couple u r. Not many could do that (trust-I’ve been married 36 years 😂). Pretty admirable!

A lot of homeless people have cell phones. There are some really cheap options, it's not like they all have an iPhone! It's kind of the only way they can communicate with others. Definitely resonate with the talk on homelessness, we definitely need more empathy for those in that situation. So many people in society view them as less-than!
I believe low income people (as myself) and homeless people receive a free government phone and service. I also believe giving to the homeless as well as giving to the church -is a Christian thing more or less between you and God- leaving what happens to the money -between the church and God and the homeless and God ….just my opinion 🎄❤️ just saying❤️🎄

I feel like hunter is right that a phone bill is obviously less expensive then rent, but also in this life everything is online so it’s almost a necessity these days. A huge majority of people in the US are one emergency away from homelessness so I like to think of it as it could be any of us and giving them anything we Can is up to them on how to spend it but none of them want to be in that spot. Just spread kindness and give benefit of the doubt! Love your car chats ❤️

Girl. Just do what you feel you can do. You are pregnant, feeling miserable, but joyous over the new lil one coming. Just take care of you mentally then physically. It is hard. It’s your first and you will not know what to expect and that is scary. I know you have a platform, but we all love you so know you can be real on good days n bad. Merry Christmas to you all.

There’s a govt program that gives free phones, not fancy phones it’s so they don’t get lost

That is really tough with homeless or people asking for money. Lots of homeless people or people even with homes in poverty. Most have phones, as they need it for most ways to get their state benefits or other related ways to survive but that's tough because some homeless don't have those means either. There is so much donation options out there too and ways for homeless to get free or cheap used phones. Definitely a normal thought for others that aren't in their shoes.
It's the same with them wearing nice shoes or clothes, they can get donations from shelter and the items be really nice donated items. So its not true that they have those nice clothes because they have money in ways they aren't using it properly, they just have ways they can still look nice. We also don't know when the person went homeless or without funds. Could be older clothes but they can try to keep those items close to them.
I also follow a channel who reaches out to the homeless. I also live in Nor Cal. SF is a sanctuary city... Homeless get paid by the city monthly. SF does allow homeless to do anything. Literally anything anywhere on the streets. Steal, inject as the give free needles, and defecate. I would guess it's 90% drug addiction with mental conditions and 10% other. They can sleep anywhere on almost any street. It's a serious serious problem. This attracts more and more drug addicts to SF because of this. In my opinion SF is the example of what NOT to do. We need to heal and treat these people when they are ready. Most of drug addicted homeless are okay with their lifestyle because places like SF let the do anything and pay. It's not healthy it's not good for any community. We need to bring mental healthcare and gov drug rehab facilities back into operation. Save our people!
A lot of times loved ones are paying for the phones so that they can keep in contact with them. Piece of mind for the families🥰

About the homelessness conversation, when the average cost of rent in the US is $1000 a month and some phone plans can be around $30 a month, that's a huge difference. And in our society, phones have become a necessity. But I do hope that you research and support the cause as you mentioned because homelessness is an epidemic

I think that the gold star standard for a charity to help the homeless is the National Alliance to End Homelessness. It was founded in 1983 and works to end homelessness on a national level. It does research, makes the data available, educates policy makers, and assists communities to end homelessness. Please look them up and perhaps you want to volunteer in Nashville to end homelessness because homelessness is real. Whether it comes from addiction or mental health issues or an abusive home, people truly are homeless in America. And I know that you truly want to help and understand this issue. Thank you for your videos and for bringing some attention to this issue to your viewers.

I hit like right when I open it up lol! You guys are my OG go to channel for years now, so I don’t even think twice🤣 As far as taking the tanner off, the best thing is just heavy, heavy moisture like Olay ribbons wash (I don’t personally use that) and then a good scrub. It’s not the tan your actually trying to remove, it’s skin cells. The DHA makes your skin turn brown, so it’s literally your skin honey. Same with why tanner smells. It’s not actually the tanner, it’s the DHA/skin combo (Maillard reaction) that produces the smell, and there’s literally nothing you can do about it! Sry about that tan sticking that way, I’ve been adoring Tanseuticals but it sticks like that too😰😅

@hunter I’m a social worker and work a lot with homeless clients. The cell phones they have typically were given to them free by a federal cell phone program for low income individuals.

I work for a bail reform program and we offer free phones to our participants so they can stay in touch with their case managers throughout their criminal case! A lot of our participants are sadly homeless so we offer them a free phone and try our best to connect them to resources that could help them!
Homeless people are put up in hotel rooms some of them. It’s sad. Anytime I’m on bourbon street and I give homeless people plates of food. They don’t even say thank you. They would rather be given money ( of course) for booze!

Regarding your tan removal..... have you tried Epson Salts. Or baking soda in your bath? Not sure if they will work, but worth a try. The Epson Salts will make your skin so soft, plus help with body aches and pains like your legs.
