That hoover saved my carpets during a flood for sure. I will say for regular hoovering it’s very noisy and very large to store. I will keep it in case it happens again. Really excellent demo❤
Wow think I would of passed out if was your mrs and walked in to seeing u poor that mess all over kitchen floor 🤣🤣🤣🤣 but I’m speechless this was amazing u really go all out thanks 😊 loving your UA-cam x
Great video - I have just got the CHARLES and wondered how good it really was - this convinced me - I got the right machine - I have not used it in anger yet but I now know what it can do - thank you
These are good value at £139.99 in Argos - thats the same price as yellow Hetty, but this has a bigger capacity and can be used wet or dry, plus I think the main floorhead on this is better, as its the old design that Henry used to have before 2014, without the wheel on the back, and it also has brushes all round and a metal base plate. Even better, this is a 1000W motor, being wet and dry, it gets round the EU limit on energy use at 900W, so whilst it might be noisier, its more powerful, and has a better combination main floor tool (in my opinion). The bags are supposed to be put in with the writing on them uppermost by the way.
Quite a machine, I always put a hepaflo on with writing upwards, our Henry is in use at moment as doing diy/ decorating for the saw dust and plaster dust etc, until watching your channel and Beko1987 I used to use a bagless machine for heavy work / diy dust etc. The food looked great 🤢 😂
Now the question is would you buy George for £228 or Henry wet&dry for £119 from Argos ? I don’t need the shampooing feature as I can just spray the sofa/car seats myself! And can buy the George nozzle to fit on Henry ( not sure if they fit ? ) Please let us know what you think we love your videos Thank you 🙏🏼
If you don’t want the shampoo feature then get the Henry Wet and dry. All the accessories are compatible with each model. If you are spraying on solution with another method, then the upholstery nozzle with brush removed will be fine for sucking up the water as will the crevice tool or the hose end without any attachments.
Very useful video. Excellent demonstrations. Thank you. I'll be buying a Charles or a Henry Wet & Dry soon. BTW - if you have had a power-cut and you can't open your washing machine before draining it manually - how are you powering your vacuum cleaner?
Not sure about smelly spills. Think the exhaust from vacuum would spread bad smells. Sometimes better to local clean Excellent machine for water leaks. Would you use it if toilet got blocked and overflowed??
I wonder what the reason is for using the 'Henry Wet & Dry' instead of Charles and the same for George and Henry Wash? Is it worth having lots of similar machines with only minor differences...
I think they are phasing out the charles.Im surprised they havent renamed the range sooner, its due to everyone calling any numatic,no matter the name,Henry. As people will assume they are all the same, many people will start using their dry henries for wet use causing it to die and gaining another sale for Numatic.
I was thinking of getting a wet and dry vacuum cleaner and I will be getting this one after seeing this review. Also, do you think if you add water to the container you could hoover the floor as normal and all the bits go inside the bucket and there would be no need for a bag?
No, you need to use a bag for dry pick up. The heavier dirt would go into the water but the fine dust would pass through the motor and into the room. You would need to have the float valve fitted if there is water inside the bucket, so there would be no pre motor filter.
How does the Henry wet and dry or Henry 'wash' differ to Charles? Henry wet and dry is the same as Charles from what I can tell and Henry wash just has some different attachments? Thanks
Henry wet and dry is more or less the same as Charles, though the new versions have front mounted switches and a better cord storage facility. Henry Wash is for wet use and carpet/uplostery cleaning and does not come with any tools/filter for dry use, but you could purchase those separately. This is my Henry Wash video filmed when it was launched before the recent upgrade. ua-cam.com/video/1_9CuAw7QdY/v-deo.htmlsi=wkJnszojPr46VjdU
@@ibaisaic Hi, thanks for your quick reply :) Do you know if the new version of the Henry wet and dry has wind up cord storage or is this still wound by hand and hung on the side of the vacuum?
I have seen photos of the Henry Wet & Dry with the front switches and improved cord rewind from selected retailers, but you would need to check that they have the new version before ordering. You still have to wind up by hand, but two cord hooks are now fitted at the front and back of the motor unit.
It looks as if the handle on the top is replaceable. If it is so, it would be a good thing, as the handle on my old Charles broke not long after I purchased it 20 years ago, but could not be replaced.
Henry wet & dry is the same as Charles apart from the name. I haven't used that turbo nozzle with the Henry wet dry but it works well with a regular Henry.
Yes, you can, though strictly it's a wet or dry _pick-up_ machine. That is, it doesn't _dispense_ water or cleaning fluid, agitate then suck it up - you'd have to do the first stage of that manually. It's ostensibly for clean-up of spilled fluid - water extraction. If you put down soapy water, and used the wet floor tool (silicone squeegee) to agitated the floor, you could clean it, but I don't think it would be as effective as eg using a dual scrub floor tool (which you may be able to buy as a separate Numatic attachment, idk). You could secure microfibre or old wash cloths around the squeegee tool with rubber bands and use that to scrub, I suppose. A major thing in Charles' favour is his very powerful motor - much stronger than a Henry/Hetty. If you want a floor _cleaner,_ then go with a George (green). HTH
Of course. Vomit, wee wee and faeces can be picked up with Henry Wet and Dry, though I think cleaning up the machine after use would be an unpleasant job.
Hi, I have this on order for delivery tomorrow. I have some queries if able to help. Firstly, is this machine able to suck up a blocked outdoor drain & also can you wash carpets using water and carpet shampoo and get this to suck up the residue?
It may help unblock a drain depending on the severity of the blockage. You could use this machine to to suck up water off a carpet after cleaning it with shampoo, but if you wanted the shampoo function, you should have bought a George or Henry Wash.
@@ibaisaic that's very helpful thank you. I only needed a dry hoover but I thought for £10 more having the wet option was worth it. I must say the first use of it was far superior to my previous upright, it is also very powerful.
I want this guy to do every single review of an item I purchase without looking at the instructions. What a guy 👏
😅
Your kitchen is so clean!
Amazing cleaner I would say 😊
And I liked the glimpse of your lovely socks when the big work was done 🤙
Thank you for a well presented demonstration. No annoying background music or waiting for ages whilst attachments are retreived and fitted.

No flood😢🥺😭😭
Must say you are giving plenty of variety tests, great job keep up the great content
I do like your variety of Vacumn Cleaners that you test for us but it's so nice to be back with a Numatic.
Thank you.
i wouldn't have worked out how to set this vacuum cleaner up without this video as the instruction booklet wasn't the best....

ibaisaic, Can you do a side by side review of both the Henry Wet & Dry HWD370 and the Charles CVC370?
They are the same machine

Can you do a review of this doing carpet cleaning pls, as I brought this but don't know how the carpet will be to do
I show this model vacuuming carpet in the video. It does not wash carpets as it is just a wet and dry vacuum with no carpet cleaning facility.
@ibaisaic sorry meant to say carpet wash lol
As I said, this model does not have a carpet washing facility.
If you can vacuum your washing machine with that, I'm assuming you can do the same with dishwashers?

What will happen if you use Henry wet and dry without the float valve
If you keep sucking up liquid without the float valve, there is a strong possibility that water will get into the motor and ruin it.
How does Henry Wet & Dry compare with Charles? And did you ever use the turbohead modeled TK 286 from Wessel Werk with him?
Henry wet & dry is the same as Charles apart from the name. I haven't used that turbo nozzle with the Henry wet dry but it works well with a regular Henry.

can you scrub hard floors with the wet function?
Yes, you can, though strictly it's a wet or dry _pick-up_ machine. That is, it doesn't _dispense_ water or cleaning fluid, agitate then suck it up - you'd have to do the first stage of that manually. It's ostensibly for clean-up of spilled fluid - water extraction.

Hi, can you clean with Henry hardwood floor?
Yes, though you need the Henry Combi Floor Tool attachment. Set the brushes up for carpets and down for hard-floors. HTH.

Of course. Vomit, wee wee and faeces can be picked up with Henry Wet and Dry, though I think cleaning up the machine after use would be an unpleasant job.
Could I use this vacuum to clean out my gutters?
Yes, providing the hose was long enough to reach them. You can buy very long hoses for this model from 5 to 10 metres.
Only issue is that it doesn’t come with a winding cable restorer. Which is annoying
