I do not condone all that PAGAD is doing but our laws and police protect the druglords and gangsters. I'm sure these PAGAD people are just trying to provide a safer place for their families and their community. AGAIN their is wrong in some of their actions BUT DO NOT sterotype the actions of a few and class people of the entire organization.
Look, this battle will never end, it can't. The police are doing their best with the very little they have in a battle they can't win and in a battle no one can win. Pagad did good, they still do but the only way this ends is if the communities do it themselves
@@Lix549 but not all, in fact it's more that majority of them are good and some of them are as you say. No country ever has and ever will win the war on gangsterism and drugs, but there are loads of good officers out there just doing their best to make life better for everyone...

Pagad in Hebrew by co incidence means instilling fear in an enemy. His energy and charisma is what made me believe in him. I still fondly remember how we would exchange ideas n how he inquired the idea of the Mazar in cape Town. Our connection was unlikely but resolute, knowing him since childhood it was a connection that resulted in us being bound by a firm faith of our belief. He would always come n see my full contact fights and me eat fruits before hitting the mat. Wow man what memories. May Allah grant him janaah, ameen.
i am a resident of Surrey Estate were the violance took place. I heard this bomb last night, although i didn't go enquire what happned i'd just like to say that the area has become increasingly dangerous. I have seen an increased amount of drug addicts walking around..smoking weed legally in the streets, people selling drugs and also break ins. Just last week someone stole my wipers. On monday as i was leaving to come to work a ganster was awaiting me in my driveway - he threatend that'll GET me
This Pagad sound good, l have a problem about our Police, justice system has changed in SA especially since ANC rule, they are not doing great work, they are corrupt and they get away with all this.
I will never forget how Ali said I inspired him subsequent to things I told him, I had no idea what impact my words had on him. Alhamdulilah he is well.
The way thing's are going now here in bonteheuwel we can't go to work in the morning as a security I fear for my life everyday wish PAGAD can come back yorh I'm so tired of this
i dont condone what pagad does. but our police do not do their jobs, the legal system is just too skewed. criminals have more rights than us law abiding citizens
I know it's a whole 8, almost 9 years later, but from personal experience it was a nice albeit short lived breather. In my specific area I think the bigger problem is a lack of foresight, little to no sense of justice and communal responsibility so even when there are legitimate raids (because sometimes they are just breaking doors down for a quota or a camera) there are always people who protect bad guys at the cost of even their own safety. Because the same people they're protecting turn on them at drop of a hat. Just after Pagad had gone out on this exact patrol my neighbourhood seemed to have peaked in violence and gangsters had no shame in saying who they were and what they'd do because they thought Pagad wasn't going to keep their word and a week or so later they'd target 3 locations at the same time and for months after there was calm... Now they're inactive again and everything's gone back to crap.

Up with Pagat...an eye for an eye, and tooth for a tooth! In its extreme 👊
How can I join?
The hypocrisy is overwhelming, mind-numbing...wow!
Drugs has no room in our society and community
further to the below - when you call the police they do nothing.
They ignore your plee to check out or patrol.

Curing fear and violence with...fear and violence.

It seems that Pagad is more of a problem themselves. Because of their actions gansterism will escalate.
They actually had Gangsters running with their tails between their legs when they were active, i've never seen hardened criminals piss their pants so.
