this video should be seen by all those people who think Beyoncé is just an entertainer or a cute little face who can dance on stage. She is such a professional singer and a vocalist. People should recognize this from her.
Breyonna Morgan cuz that Creole voodoo is strong... I’m sure Beyoncé either has a thousand ancient spirit warriors protecting her or 7 divine beings watching over her 😭

You guys don't understand...when "4" came out, for a good year I could not get past this song "I Care." It was on repeat and I desperately wanted it to be a single. So to get to have this virtual master class with DJ Swivel is so astounding. Literally hearing those backgrounds and harmonies a capella made me feel like I had church for the day. I am so hungry. I know I’m a year late lol but SAMEEEE HERE. I MADE MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY LITERALLY HATE THIS SONG LOL. I WASNT EVEN IN A RELATIONSHIP WHEN IT CAME OUT BUT I LOOOOOVE THIS SONG. I AM SO GLAD U FEEL THIS LIKE I DO‼️
I can’t stop playing the live version of I Care from her Coachella show, that she could so closely recreate the studio vocal on stage after doing a number of other songs and complicated, physical dance steps really, really speaks to Beyoncé’s talent level.
Working with Beyoncé must be such a huge thing ! She knows what she wants and knows how to do it ! those harmonies are amazing ! Working with this kind of vocals with a big artist today is difficult !

I come back to this video every few years to listen to those clean vocals. I wish there were more breakdowns of Beys songs, especially her most recent songs.
Bey's vox guitar emulation on the bridge @ 30:25 is simply marvelous...WOW...good Lord she knocked it...GONE! George Benson typeness on a pop/gospel/grunge/operatic tip...well done! I dig Swiv's engineering techniques...good stuff here all throughout. Hymn
Beyoncé is just... Incomparable. Every single song of hers has vocals. Even her rap songs have harmonies. Flawless, a trap song, has operatic hidden vocals. So crazy

They don't help as in plug n play in your mix and they'll totally work for your song. But they're good for understanding what the preset maker is going for. Sometimes if I'm stuck... I'll load up a preset and just see what they would do... And then I adjust from there
I wish some artist like Beyoncé would release songs that they didn’t put on albums and just tell them hey studio sessions only no judgement. But with her I doubt there would be any disappointments.
Got the chance to record a session for a female vocalist at Universal Music Publishing in Fulham... They also used an Avalon 737 and I was hand automation the gain input just like he mentioned at 27:40
Learn your plugins kids 4-5 lead vocals and then comp -8 hours trying to find the right bass tone. my god. -he does alot of vocal volume automation on her vox -throw delays -4 part harmony with 4 different parts
It's really amazing that he had that opportunity to work with Beyonce I dream of this how he mixed them drums an her vocals are exquisite the base sax really made it pop just amazing 👏
Yeah! at 20:00 if it does not fit, you must quit! lol. A lot of times whenever I use an 808 Kick, I don't use an actual bass line or a riff. Or either I do and add different plugins and effects to alter the sound.
It's funny how one of the main tips from mixing engineers is to take frequent breaks due to the ear fatigue but then a top engineer says he is working the entire day without breaks and comping vocals while eating.
There is a shootout between an Avalon 737 mic pre and a Warm Audio Tone Beast, and the Warm Audio had more compliments than the Avalon. That Tone Beast Realllllyyyy sounds GREAT!!!!! And its only a third of the price of the Avalon. I heard the shootout via UA-cam, and was blown away!!!! "Vocal that mimics a guitar solo, I've never heard that before" This is obviously someone that's never listened to Jimi Hendrix that did this in the 60s doing both at the same time lol
Of course not dude he's 30 something lol. But I'm sure he has but no one current has seen Hendrix record these parts in a tracking session which is what he meant dude. He's physically seeing this for the first time. Not just hearing it. That's what he meant. Hendrix, George Benson, Johnathan Butler, Guitar Watson, Peter Frampton, Roger Troutman all have done it & it goes on & on
But none as well as Beyonce'. Bitch is a miracle! Did u hear those ascending scales she did on that. Her precision in landing on the perfect note is otherworldly. The way she can transition from her chest to head voice so effortlessly while performing some of the most complex acrobats is everything my ears love to hear.
