I had this bad boy since last Nov. I also bought their rubber strap. Bad boy has been to Bangladesh, Kenya and Tanzania throughout my whole business trip in Nov 2022.
Love what Doxa is doing. They don't try to be anything else than their heritage. They have a clear purpose in their design language and don't try to borrow design elements from familiar designs. I tried coloured dials before. It's not me so Sharkhunter was always the only option, so Army brings me closer to my first Doxa.
It’s quirky, it’s a classic and yet it’s something new, it’s a watch for watch guys and yet still flies under mosts radar. It’s bold and original, but true to Doxa design language. The colors are all over the place, yet work so well together. I absolutely love it. If only the price tag were a bit more modest 😢
I've tried the Army on bracelet on and really like it. I need to figure out how to get one into my collection. It definitely fits with that unique design. I just have to figure out my priorities for purchase. I am very glad they came out with a regular production model, and the camo design on that NATO strap is excellent.
I didn't open up the back. I would assume it's the same as other Doxa models I've opened up. A custom brushed, and signer rotor. Basic finishing everywhere else.
Original? Looks like a copy of a Seiko 6105 Willard, other than the 4 o’clock crown position. I bought mine in 1976 at the Base Exchange and it was affordable.
@@BruceWilliams it's the most expensive of the three and O&W's catalogue is quite small. They have basically two watches in different configurations. I think, if Zodiac play's their cards correct they become really beloved within the next years.
@@BruceWilliams Really made me want one, it’s surprising there aren’t authentic camo pattern NATO straps on the market… I wonder if there’s a market for it, I know people use old camo uniforms to make lanyards and the like but I wonder how it would compare to woven nylon straps…
The rubber bracelet and the clasp at really badly paired with this amazing watch. The rubber is too clean, it must be cut, and the clasp looks huge. The best option for this watch is a tropic strap. Not sure why they has to complicate things, when their rival, Sychron, is shipping their watch with a tropic and it fits perfectly.
I dig the look of Doxas in general and would consider buying one if not for the $2K+ pricepoint for an ETA movement and poor lume. They seem to be in that niche where similarly priced Seiko models live--attractive, decent company pedigree, but overly hyped by enthusiasts/fluffers, and not a very good value for the money. Honestly, I'd rather throw down $200 for a Seestern and wear it guilt free as it was meant to be.
Nice video and very good watch.. just a question, DOXA send me message, All of our doxas have a Sellita movement. It’s real? On the official site DOXA for this watch mentioned 25 rubies (ETA 2824-2 for me better.. Now I would like to buy this watch but I'm afraid of mistakes or tell me something wrong

My 4 Doxas can attest that I agree with you! The ceramic version of this Army style is wicked awesome. 🔥

I enjoyed watching this and ......Wow ! Stunning watch , I just love Doxa.
Always great to see a Doxa review! Good stuff Bruce. The Army certainly isn’t for everyone but for Doxa heads it’s super cool.
Love it! Absolutely beautiful.
I have this watch and I just love it. The bracelet is weighty but feels great. Thanks for making a video on this watch

Just got one. Honeymooning! Haven’t taken it off in a week.
I absolutely love this one ❤️😍
These do look really good

Agreed. I want one too
Nice review of a great brand. I like this one but for me I would rock it on a simple black single pass nato or like you said the bracelet
I went to the Doxa store to gawp at one. They look even more amazing in real life - but I still cat afford one.
Love the fish logo 😛
Beautiful! 😍
Cool watch! Unfortunately I just bought 3 watches in the past two months so I’ll have to put it on the back burner for now.
I watched this entire video in the hopes of seeing something that never happened: a single shot of this damn watch on the bracelet.
Cry me a river
😂
Great review !!!
Really like the triangle second hand. Not sure I’ve seen that before .
I wanna not like it, but it's so quirky that I can't look away.
I want a 1500T sub in the worst way. 😂
Love doxa...
The hour hand that should be on the sub 300t
I don't like the lack of a cantilever on the seconds hand. Other than that, cool watch!
Love Doxa. Just wish this one had a count up bezel.
Love it to death👍🤩
Bought one tonight
The complain with Doxa is their straps pricing, I feel SCAMMED
Legit cool.
Very cool and functional watch. How long lasting is the lume?
It's pretty good. It definitely degrades over time like c3
Does that watch have a decorated top grade movement?

Reminds me of a Rado Diastar...🙂 👍Utah
Would rather have a Willard to be honest, the SPB237 namely.
Love the Willard too
Will there be a Navy version???
That would be cool
Doxa vs Zodiac vs Ollech & Wajs
Which revival brand is the best?
Doxa is the one I've spent the most on if I am letting my wallet do the talking

Didn’t expect to see alpenflage…
It's cool they did it

I have hard time with mostly Chinese made items that only get their Swissness from being assembled in Switzerland.
Still love that quirky watch.
Welcome to the world of most Swiss made watches
The yellow or the orange dial is the way to go with the steel bezel.
Get a Caribbean or Sharkhunter and stick with that… Army dial too fussy
that thing is HIDEOUS
I prefer the Synchron Military version

Sure its nice, even really nice... but, and here is the but...Come on,, that prime spec for an ETA 2824.. get real
I don't turn my nose up at a good old 2824
The Bezel Markings.....Why counting down from 60 as opposed to the normal counting up to 60 ??..........All replies appreciated.
