  • I go out running with my Camelbak Classic. I find this so useful especially for long runs on hot days, holidays or marathon training. I talk you through it, give you a demonstration and run to some music

    Great video, I recently bought a similar backpack so these tips on how to use the bladder really helped!

    I just brought one and I was not sure if I made the right choice with it as I want to use it for running, but after I saw your video I am happy with the purchase.

      I've found it really good. The only downside is you can't tip water on your head like you could with a bottle. Thanks for your comments, glad I've helped!

      @@shanebow thanks for the response. I tried it out today for my running event which took an hour. It was very good.
      You are right about the downside of is not having a bottle storage where you unable to pour it on your head when you are really hot while running

      In one of my latest videos you'll see I know use a Salomon running vest. I never had any issues with the camelback but if I was in my earlier running days and on a budget I'd get one of these www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07DQDNXQZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_B1XnFb3NJ8ZZM mainly due to the pockets. So you can carry gels, snacks and a phone too.

    I have the mil spec version and comes with an insulated tube which is good for summer and cold drinks

    I was looking at other camelbaks like the dart and light but never seen this one in action. How would you rate the classic camelbak.

    I regret getting the classic instead of the rogue. The pocket is almost useless imo, you can hardly fit your essentials in there.

    Would you use one for a half marathon?

  • @jakubkotarski221
    @jakubkotarski221 5 років тому +2

    maybe you can do a video about what to eat before the run, what eat on breakfast, dinner, etc :) Amazing views :)

      Thanks for the interest in that. I will be making some marathon training videos at the end of the year where I talk about what I eat. In a nutshell I try to really listen to my body... I don't eat breakfast til about 10am as I'm not hungry til then and can run a half marathon quite happily on an empty stomach if it's before then. I have a habit after a run of buying one banana from a local shop on the way home, I eat it whilst walking home on a cool down

    If you're going to post a video show the pack in action, you showed it for 1 second in the video and then didn't use it. Sad.

  • @mellangatang
    @mellangatang 4 роки тому +2

    So... you didn't even wear the Camelbak? Kinda playing fast & loose with 'review' here, aren't ya, since you didn't actually use it as intended.

    • @mellangatang
      @mellangatang 4 роки тому +2

      @@shanebow At 3:30 you said that you cheated and carried the camelbak in another backpack. I don't think you can properly review a camelbak if you didn't actually wear it.

    • @shanebow
      @shanebow  4 роки тому +2

      To review it I don't need to wear it in the video. Like I say at the start it's based on 7 months use. My idea for Saying I put it in a back pack for the video demonstrates a bit of fun, honesty and also showed that you can get good value out of it for its dual purpose as it can work inside a bigger pack should you need to run with a bigger pack because you need to carry more kit. Cheers for your comments though and your point of view 👍
