- ECOWAS INVITES IBRAHIM TRAORE, TCHIANI & GOITA FOR A MEETING
This followed President Bola Tinubu’s appeal for renewed efforts to negotiate the return of the sister counties into the regional bloc after military takeovers in 2022 and 2023.
“We can discuss with our brothers and convince them to come back into the fold,” Faye told Tinubu when he visited the latter at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Thursday.
Earlier, Tinubu, who currently serves as the Chairman of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State, had told Faye, “I am inviting you to collaborate and meet those other brothers, to persuade them to come back to the fold.”

They should never go back to ECOWAS. ECOWAS has never demonstrated that it's 💯 serious to help the member states. They can make it without ECOWAS . These is no corruption in these countries and their citizens have stated enjoying the fruits and there is future hope for her citizens.

They can be partners at times for strategic purposes, however Afrika has never had any trustworthy allies outside Afrika on a permanent or long lasting basis! It is because Afrika is not United, yet that russia and china have the strength they currently have in Afrika! All Afrikan countries (not, "countries operatibg from and on Afrika soil) together, is and would be greater than any other organization, group or bloc!
