Bought 6 boxes of ammo. When I have a dozen, I will buy the rifle. I have a 6.5 Creedmore, .270Win, and .308Win as my current long range rifles. The 6.8 Western will be my first "Magnum" rifle. Used to have surplus WW1 rifles. But the modern hunting rifles are sooooo nice to shoot. While I have several ranges to shoot 50-300 yards. I have venture out a ways to get to the longer ranges. And fire season closes some of the BLM locations. Seems kind of crazy that we are getting such nice long-range rifles. But all the great shooting places that I used to shoot at 40-50 years ago. Are now closed or have been developed for housing.

I still find the ammo available at various local sporting goods stores. If not there’s is always some available online it’s just usually a bit more $$
