Surprised anybody? Pentangle were simply the finest folk group ever to grace the folk scene. Those of us lucky to be around in the late 60s and early 70s were so privileged to hear Jacqui sing supported by 4 of the finest musicians ever assembled. Where are such groups today?
Saw Pentangle many times in the 60's & 70's . They were Top of the Tree ! Tight as f . . k , a sound with no equal ! Jacqui 's voice was & is peerless ! Danny , Bert , John & Terry - well , superbly matched . The planets collided when this quintessence was born ! ✌️ ❤️ 🎶 🇬🇧 🇪🇺 ☮️
Johnny Trunk once played a cut or two from this soundtrack, which is how I learned the Pentangle was involved with the movie. Thanks for putting this out, Jacqui!
Absolutely love this. I was staggered when I watched the film a couple of years ago. I thought, blimey, that sounds like Pentangle, and then there was the credit. I'm wondering how many other gems you have hidden Jacqui. 🤔🙂
i hope people are aware of 'trees' with a similar agenda, ie the folk rock psychedelic fantasy genre. their ;on the shore ' album is so god and haunting, sadly some of the members are no longer with us.

They exist. They are just not popular.

Check out Mariah Dawn Shepherd and the Covert Dragon 🐉 ♥️ ✨️
The Pentangle provided the perfect otherworldly musical accompaniment for this wonderful movie.
Absolutely incredible. Your voice, like spun gold, crystal clear and so lovely.
So beautiful ☀️💜
Thanks for putting this out Jaqui. Lovely to hear after all these years living with The Fairport version. Now we have two classics!
Three! Give a listen to Anaïs Mitchell and Jefferson Hamer's version. It's beautiful!
Sandy Denny's version is much better
@@sputnikginger I used to think so, but I've heard Fairport's so many times, it was refreshing to see a new version
I would love to hear this redone, rerecorded, how ever you say it. I watched the movie ....and was spellbound by the song! Thanks for the inspiration!

I love Sandy Denny but Pentangle is just as good!
I have the VHS version of the film, with long intro by Roddy McDowall.
This is wonderful beyond belief
