    This pattern is soooo pretty, and it's totally user-friendly for a beginner. Not only does it look absolutely gorgeous, but it's easy and fun to make! I'm going to use this pattern to make some face-cloths for my bathroom, and put the dishcloth I made from your first tutorial in the kitchen...It's so fun to be in the process of making beautiful and useful hand-made cloth sets for my household. Thanks as always for the inspiration and encouragement, and easy-to-follow tutorials!

    Thank you very much for this needed pattern . More practical to knit wash cloth than winter scarf during this pandemic. After all i am living in a hot country like Singapore. I appreciate it. More pattern if possible to show off . Haha

      So glad that you’re enjoying it! I’m in Arizona, so it’s pretty hot here, too. Definitely wash cloth season! 😃. I have more washcloth patterns on the channel and my website, if you’d like.

    I enjoyed this tutorial very much. I am a newbie knitter. I have a question, on the correction, do i do pattern 12, sk pattern 13 and then do the 5 pattern rows of knit?

    • @handmadebystacyj
      @handmadebystacyj  3 роки тому +1

      Hi! I'm so glad that you like it - welcome to the wonderful world of knitting! I'm thinking that in your question you're referring to the final rows? If so, then you are correct - you can repeat rows 1 -12, and then knit 5 rows to finish the cloth. Hope this helps!

    I am a English style knitter. So when doing the SSK do I still need to do the YO? Because if so I don't see how to get the yarn to do the knit. I ended up doing k2tog but I think it might change thr look of the finished project.

    • @handmadebystacyj
      @handmadebystacyj  2 роки тому

      Hi Morgan!
      You do need to do the YO to create the eyelet effect. If the ssk is giving you a hard time, you can do the k2tog, but the stitch will lean differently. However, as long as you’re consistent throughout, it’ll be fine. Another option would be to SKP (slip one st knitwise, knit the next one, the pass the slipped stitch over). But, honestly, as long as you’re consistent, then the project should come out great. Thank you for reaching out!

    How can I get this pattern on your website?

  • @icherishcrochetandknit309
    @icherishcrochetandknit309 3 роки тому

    I have another question if you don't mind, sorry. Is the yo, ssk the same as doing an increase and knit 2 tog?

    • @handmadebystacyj
      @handmadebystacyj  3 роки тому +1

      I don't mind at all! They are not the same, as a ssk is left leaning and a k2tog is right leaning. So, they're similar in the sense that they create a decrease; but not similar in the sense that they lean in different directions. Hope that helps! Happy knitting!

    Hi Stacy! Can I do this pattern without staggering the decreases?

    • @handmadebystacyj
      @handmadebystacyj  3 роки тому +1

      Hi! You can, however the eyelets will end up being in straight vertical rows (if I’m understanding your question correctly).

    • @icherishcrochetandknit309
      @icherishcrochetandknit309 3 роки тому

      @@handmadebystacyj yes, that was my qyestion. I saw someone do this stitch this way and thought well, maybe when it is staggered, the stitches lay better or is it just a variation? That's all. Thank you for answering!

    • @handmadebystacyj
      @handmadebystacyj  3 роки тому +1

      @@icherishcrochetandknit309 - yes, it’s a variation. That’s a beautiful thing about knitting - you can feel free to customize anything you like to make it how you want it. :) If you wanted to, you could even keep going on the rows and make this a scarf; make it wider and it can be a blanket, etc... It’s so much fun to customize!

    Hi can a baby blanket be made and adult blanket how many stitches thank you

    • @handmadebystacyj
      @handmadebystacyj  3 роки тому +3

      Hi! Yes, you can make blankets out of this stitch pattern. The best way to determine the amount of stitches is to do a gauge swatch and then measure how many stitches you have in 4”. Then you can determine how many stitches you’ll need for the size that you’re wanting. For example, if you have 20 stitches in 4” and you want a blanket that’s 20”, you’d need 100 stitches. Be sure to keep in mind the number of stitches in the pattern repeat, as well. Hope that helps ❤️
