Hello ... I have both Meco and HTC Dm98 .. Both are Chinese.. they just put there logos and sell.. Just search Habotest HT118A or Kaiweets HT118. These are your HTC DM98... HTC just rebranding those Chinese meter like Meco.. Meco give calibration certificate.. they have their own Meco branded box.. they have their own printed multimeter manual.. Htc just don't bother to make those also.. they just give you all generic items that comes from China with the multimeter... Htc dm98 have some bug.. it hanging a lot.. you have to off and on to resolve it.. Btw Meco also have Headquarter in Mumbai.. just search MECO Instruments Pvt. Ltd.
The meco brand is renamed "Indian" version of the aneng meters, which is certainly better than this multimeter. The multimeter you have is also made in China.
Well said!. These youtubers are so stupid trying to trying to be politically correct and not using chinese products but the Indian products are much worse and costlier. ANENG multimeters are very good and are in fact cheaper. All meco multimeters are copies of chinese or western multimeters. Same with rishab & every other Indian brand which are copies of foreign meters selling for same or higher price than the original. Such companies shouldn't be encouraged as it causes hindrance to all other professionals who use these tools & instruments. Can you suggest any other good DMM in India or any store that sells aneng meters in India?
@@therealb888 there are some good imported meters in india, but they are usually double the original price. AliExpress and banggood are best places to buy aneng meters, but it is not recommended now. Some shops are toolworld.in, Moglix(I haven’t tried their services).

Vijay Sharma if you want absolute accuracy go for a fluke meter. I have the uni-t UT 139c I bought from toolworld.in it has many awesome features and is pretty accurate(still haven’t tested accuracy yet). But these days even the cheap meters like the meco and even this meter is pretty good. This meter’s actual name is HT118 multimeter. If u search it in UA-cam you get a full clear review of it, with testing of accuracy. The meco meter is actually a rebranded aneng multimeter.

As for fluke ones they're too expensive for startups or non big companies. In fact CRL, BEL, DRDO, ISRO & just about every major psu or pvt electronics company uses fluke, agilent, weller & other top foreign brands. I am so disappointed with Indian tool brands & the hate towards chinese products which every industry in India needs. Htc is far worse than chinese brands and is a copy of chinese brands. These Indian tools and instruments companies all cheaters and poor quality. Chinese brands like aneng, uni t, mastech, sunshine are much better option as they are both cheap & feature packed.
HTC is an Indian Co. that imports everything from China, then assembles & packages it here. Its products are cheap (comparatively), though not very quality stuff. And, it has no real warranty. DM98 is one of their best model, but like others it is prone to defects & malfunction.

Guide is buy good CHINESE MULTIMETER like aneng, sunshine, mastech, uni t, etc.
This is also made in PRC though it is cheaper than Kaiweets which is identicla to this one. At least now they are giving "Indian" AA cells.
