Without a doubt, the best UA-cam video on the keyboard. I've been looking for a video this good for 2 days, THANK YOU!! Definitely buying this asap.
Yeah all theother ones were too far ahead lol
I LOVE THE FACT THAT YOU ARE USING THIS CONTROLLER WITH "STUDIO ONE" I AM USING THE SAME EXACT PROGRAM. I HAVE GOTTEN SO TIRED OF TRYING TO MAKE BEATS WITH JUST THE MOUSE. GREAT REVIEW!
I bought the 49 key version of this and I'm waiting for it in the mail. This video was great though, because it reassured me of what "velocity-sensitive" really meant in terms of a keyboard, which was the only doubt I really had. Great video.
Terrific thanks for the review. I'm after the Q69 and you've just sold me on it.
Thanks for the vid. I wanted to make sure it came with the usb cable.
@HomeTracks
I was thinking of using it for drums and some cool instruments that I don't own (for example, the cello), so I think it will fit just perfect for that purpose. Thank you!
Thanky you, thank you, thank you :)
Greetings from Uruguay
can you drag the volum up and Down while recording to a miditrack?
how is its full sized keyboard? I have a m audio keystation mini 32 keyboard and I was thinking of upgrading to this
thanks. i'll check it out
I got it on ebay, but it was displayed is a Qx25, not a Q25. A little bit strange, but it's still fantastic!
yeah bro i hv d same problem wen i got tat.....to make things working you hav to select midi/select button first then press reset key followed by enter,nw it will mapped corectly
Thank you so much for this enlightening piece. So, may I ask, when we all are essentially owning a PC these days, is it wiser to buy a MIDI Keyboard controller instead of a full blown synthecizer?
does the SR 16 have a USB interface? I would check the manual of both.. find them by searching on google.
are you able to send midi out from your DAW with this? i know the keyboard works good but i can't get it to send midi through the midi out after i record it, only works with the physical keyboard
@strictpolicy i havent' tried it but i'm not sure why you would want to send MIDI from your DAW to this keyboard. it's not a synth and has no sound modules. I only use it connected via USB as a keyboard controller.
Hi! What kind of app are you using?
i think AKAI only makes a USB/MIDI version of the MPK49. I love my 61.
I has installed KONTACT 5 AND VINTAGE SOUNDS plugin in my pc and my korg microstation with USB cable BUT I cant hear nothing.Perhaps it need midi CABLE?
@themusicgamer14 if you can get for a good price then it's really a no brainer. it's a "no frills" keyboard so don't expect to control your DAW with it. I plan to use this for bass lines, drums and one handed chords. for simple stuff like that it should work great.
Hi, in your opinion, is it possible to drive Roland RA90 arranger with Alesis Q25?
if it accepts midi devices it should work.
5. also need a good set of monitor speakers and headphones
6. material to record :)
how do i get my pressure to signal at he same time i press the keys
it's a simple USB keyboard so it should work with any DAW provide you can connect to your computer
@HomeTracks
Hey there! I liked the video a lot!
I'm thinking of buying one of these for use with GarageBand. Would you recommend this?
Hey!
I bought one of these and will be using it with Studio One and a Presonus 1818VSL.
Can you assign the rotary knobs on the keyboard to control effect variable's in the Studio One software..?
E.g. use the 1st rotary to control the amount of delay feedback on an instrument channel..?
Cheers
best that you search youtube. there are lots of vids on how to set up a home studio.

I really need your help! I am looking at MIDI keyboards and I'm either gonna buy this or a casio ctk 411. Which one should I buy? Please Help!
I just bought this controller and im having NO luck with it!! plugged it in through USB and the LEDs light up on the controller but when i try to sync it with either ableton or reason it wont show up on the Midi sync screens anywhere! all my other Midi controllers are all present except this one and i have no idea what to do about it. really frustrated because i really like the look and feel of this keyboard and am super anxious to start using it. does anyone have any advice?

So this one or the M-Audio Oxygen 25? This Alesis seems so good price/performance-wise I can't decide.
Wish I could have picked this up for $30! Guitar center is selling a used one here for $50. :(
Yikes! Just wait till next black Friday and maybe they will have it cheaper or just try and ask for a cheaper price.

@HomeTracks Great because i asked for it for christmas and i can see the box in my parents room XD
I've heard that this keyboard doesn't work with Windows 7 64 bit...is that true? I'm really worried about that...
does any one know how to set it up with studio one 2 ?
yes
1. a PC or Mac with at least 512G of disk space and a fast processer
2. a USB or Firewire audio interface. This encodes analog to digital (voice, instruments, etc. I use a Presonus AudioBox 22VSL but there are many others.
3. DAW software. DAW = Digital Audio Workstation. There are many of these Studio One, ProTools, Logic are a few of the popular DAWs. You usually get a copy of a lite version of a DAW with your USB Interface.
4. instruments, mics and cables to plug them into your interface
If it’s USB, can’t you plug directly into your computer?
thankyou ...
Nice!
This is 49 dollars online at guitar center currently
bisa kah disambungkan ke Fruity Loops ?
What is the name of the program and or could recommend ??
In the video I'm using PreSonus Studio One 2 Professional. It's a great DAW.
Does it come with a 9v DC to power it?
the one i bought did not have a power adapter. It's buss powered but you can use a power adapter.
do you still use it? let me have it, please

Izak Adolph Not sure about ableton
+Izak Adolph it comes with ableton lol
mechanic? synth...etc
@GrieferCentral People have been programming drum beats with a keyboard controller for years. Why not do it? There's no difference between hitting keyboard keys with your finger and hitting drum machine pads with your finger.
29 bucks bro he said
don't know
dont like it already i like solid key keys volume should be altered by a button or the daw
Darryl Carter You can change the velocity curve on the QX-25, too.
after only 1 year it stopped working...no midi input, ill never buy this again,
