- We flew to Langkawi recently to test drive the updated Maserati Levante S and were buoyed by the simple fact that we were driving something of such high caliber, that wasn't German. Here's why it's so different from the rest and not necessarily a bad thing.

what a dream car to have....
How is the maserati levante compared to a mercedes g63
For the past year I was thinking of getting either one so I did some reading. Both are "status symbol" cars in Singapore ($500k +). BMW/Mercs/Audis give better value for money in terms of performance and tech. Most ppl I speak with say Maserati is horribly unreliable whereas the Porsche was actually quite reliable (above BMW/Audi/Mercs/Land Rover but below Lexus). In the end I went for the Cayenne S and never regretted it. Go for the Maserati if you like more exclusivity as there are fewer of them on the Singapore roads but be prepared to bring them to the workshop more often.
You should ask yourself what you prefer:
A Maserati Levante with a Maserati or Ferrari engine over the M156 Maserati platform built and assembled by Maserati
or
A Porsche Cayenne built with a VW / Audi engine over VW's PL72 platform assembled and badged by Porsche ?
Loveeeeeee this comment!
Based on all of friends who owns a Maserati, they say it's really not reliable. What's your honest feedback with reliability?
You don't have a clock like the "Porsches". You have an analogue clock like on any other Maserati in the company history.
Nice
hope the leathers dont "melt" in few years time...
It does not. I have a Maserati Ghibli SQ4 GranSport: after 4 years of driving, the interior looks brand new.
@@alexkovkov433 wait a few more, trust me
@@petemorbius3936 it won’t but aight
@@infinitex3731 give it some years
@@petemorbius3936 nothing will happen
Custom-made Italian suit with materials sourced from Murica..
Only the switches a shared on newer models
@@infinitex3731 that alone should be criminal. Parts obtained from much cheaper models in the then FCA group. On top of that, the infotainment system, the build quality(panel gaps anyone?) are unbecoming of a brand that is supposedly more premium than its German rivals.
@@deesknees7009 again literally all this is corrected except for the buttons and the new generation that’s just been released is overhauled and doesn’t even have that also car manufacturers use each other’s shit all the time
@@deesknees7009 so far new generation is definitely better than most of their competitors especially for the price
This car is a rich-man boat with GM reliability. You try so hard to hype this car man
The reliability is fine on the new ones
