@anime891 Yes the LF-A is the racecar, or to comply with the Lemans regulations, and LFA the road going version. Also According to wikipedia their are some validation issues or lack of soild citation which are being disputed wiki about the sub 7:20's. The problem is the wither the sub 7:20's is linked to the LF-A OR the LFA. Until that is sorted out it can't be used as facts.

well of course. there's a modify acura rsx that can reach up to 200mph+ on all motor 4 cylinder with less HP and torque. just wanted to rephrase since top speed isnt surprising at all. anyone can take a car to a poor un-certifield shop slap on a turbo a longer gear ratio to hit high speed. basic concept, but to tune a car to handle corners takes intelligence not just quality parts. this is what NSX trademark is.

Many car company's have had bad cars, it's just part of trial and error. You don't automatically start building great cars, you have to start somewhere and may have some bad ones along the way. I love the GTR, but I also love Corvettes, Vipers, etc. The ZR-1 beat the '09 GTR around the 'Ring, then the Viper ACR beat that. So there are good cars...

@c312eal Guys have you driven one GT-R at all? Yes its fast and WTF do you know about how many laps it can do and then it starts to understeer? First of all about the tire and brake wear is correct. The original brakes and tires are not suited for trackdays. My GT-R has R888 and AP-Racing discs, PAGID pads and PFC 665 brake fluid. With these upgrades we drove it to days at the ring and one full day at Zandvoort. You talk about Barbie MR2 and please that is a hole other level!
but of course, performance numbers don't really matter these days, afterall, creature comforts define what a sports/super car is. No wonder the Italians/Germans and probably the GTR are supercars, no offence, but the build quality of American cars, omg o.o.
@masonizere @tinleo333 I get it its the king of daily driven supercars but still not the fastest and if you ever buy a GTR don't use the mud escape as launch control cause the transmission cost from 30,000 to 40,000, sadly most nissan customers tend to do tthis, and where's the "good price" in that. I should mention that I've driven my uncles red GTR but my only complaint is the exhaust isn't loud enough and it sucks when a modded supra blew its doors at the 1/4 mile the other day.

@frankth3frizz More than 3-4 seconds faster. 3-4 seconds is a lot on track. 275k for carbon fiber chassis and a V10 that weighs the weight of a V6. Revs super fast and has amazing throttle response. If you want to talk about being cheap and tuning, get a mustang for 30k throw 50k of tuning on it and i'll smash the GTR. Infact a lot of cars you can do that and it'll smash the GT-R
GTR did 1.17.8 around the Top gear test track, 8th fastest car. Only one in the top 20 that make mainstream cars like the micra pixo etc, it may cost 10k more than last one, but Nissan actually put that money to good use, only reason GTR is more expensive, because most countries economies are shit compared to japan

No problem, we got paddle shifters. You don't know how to take care of your tires? No problem, ATTESA will take care of the traction. You see why I say the R35 is easy to drive compared to say the MR2?
Corvettes are fast in a straight line. Gtrs are fast in corner. I rather have a car thats designed for one thing, racing. Weither on a street or a track! I prefer the gtr over any car!

And they are evenly priced with Toyotas Mazdas, BMWs and so on... They are NOT worth the price the fat bosses of GM are asking.

I beg to differ. The ZR1 is actually up there these days. American or not, you have to hand it to Chevy for making a beast of a machine. Nissan GT-R is probably one of the new best supercars, but if toyota stuck with their Supra it might be a different story.

Is there any video proof of it? Looks like it was invented by world car fans and even Nissan does not have an official statement on this.
id buy a veyron if I was a billionaire but the new "2013" gtr did 0-60 in 2.8!! with 545bhp... cars like the ultimate aero did 2.7 and it has 1200bhp.

The GTR will always be the only supercar that you can go grocery shopping and or drive it as a daily driver. That imo is also a huge achievement.
