🌸 🏫 / 🎓 Su was the only graduate that year; she's always been in a class by herself. : ) The "other strange girl from Hiroshima", Mariri Sugimoto decided to leave Sakura Gakuin at the same time, and pursue a modeling career. She's the only member who has ever decided to leave the group before she absolutely had to. She was a regular attendee at later graduation concerts. Mariri was next to Su when you paused after the confetti cannons went off. 'My Graduation Toss' is one of the two songs written and arranged for Sakura Gakuin by members of The Brilliant Green, Tomoko Kawase (Tommy february 6) and Shunsaku Okuda. I wonder why my neighbors always start chopping onion the moment where Nene-don "breaks protocol" and tells Su she loves her in mid song. Moa crying her heart out literary the whole song, Yui breaking in the end, Mariri regretting leaving, Ooga Saki almost not being able to stand up because she's crying so hard and Su's super supportive face, carrying the young girls in the end.. This performance has so many powerful moments.
Su carried this performance, but it’s a testament to the talent and professionalism of all the girls that they were able to hold it together. It’s a big thing in SG that they all want to graduate with a smile. It doesn’t always work, but they do their best. Su once made a promise to her choreographer that she would never cry onstage, and that helped her get through moments like this.

And there's so much more for you to see post 2014. Mathematica, My Road, and Carry On, to name a few. Mariri left at the same time as Suzuka. She graduated elementary school but didn't officially graduate from SG. She left three years early to persue a modelling career.
If you watch the final 30 minutes of this Graduation DVD what you'll see is Su putting forth effort to fight off the tears, not only for herself but for the other girls. You'll see her "over-the-top" happy in her actions trying to help everyone maintain their composure. She manages to hold it together herself, until the very end. After the graduation speech tearfest, in which most of the girls breaks down but Su still manages to hold it together, as they are walking off the stage Su stops, alone on the stage for her last goodbye as a SG member, she waves, turns to walk off stage, face down, and just looses it. It's only a very brief moment but you can see it happen. Backstage had to have been a mess of crying girls.
Graduation is in a sense a good occurence, but it is also a sad happening. In that sense it is very bittersweet. This was the very last performance of Suzuka with Sakura Gakuin. A final goodbye. I also don't think UA-cam is the best format to even watch this as this whole DVD has been cut up more than cheap cocaine. Originally it was only Su who was graduating that day but Mariri Sugimoto, who only joined a year prior, decided a couple weeks earlier that she wants to leave SG to pursue a modeling career. So she left on that day too. This performance is pretty heartbreaking. You can see Moa and Yui (and other girls) losing it several times. For next week you can watch Su's graduation speech and either just a 2min video of moa saying her goodbyes or what I would recommend to you a video where all members say a few words including moa's goodbye.
Yes, it was Moa every times you asked if it was. Dimples don't lie 😂 (nor bias 😏) And yes it was emotional, Moa cracked early in the song, when you said it actually, and Yui at the end. Also, Su's voice did indeed falter but she made a point of never crying on stage, and she held up ! Backstage is another story... In my world this may very well be the catchiest song ever written. It‘s strange how it manages to be happy and sad at the same time. You know emotions are strong when they make even Su‘s voice quaver. I have only the utmost admiration for these girls. They are supergirls long before their graduation. Awesome entertainers and - even more important - human beings, every single one of them.
Well the goal is to become super ladies ! :-) So selecting them based on talent and then training them to be super girls first would definitely best the path.
Su promised herself she would never cry onstage to show she's a strong girl. But, the girls saw past that. They knew Su was the one who wanted to cry the most, but she would always hold it in for the sake of the other members. Even in this performance, she held it all in even if she almost broke when Nene broke off and hugged her. She kept smiling and enjoying the moment with her juniors for the last time of her stay in SG. This is obviously one of the charms of SG that drew people in aside from Babymetal. It's like you came to SG because of Babymetal, but you stayed for the fun of SG.
Amazing, thanks! I's really moving. These girls are supposed to be actresses, idols and rivals but this performance shows REAL feelings and that is what gets me so much. I don't remember who said it but it's like their song "Friends", they compete for a place in the industry but at the end of the day they are friends. How you managed to ask if you would see moa and Yui then miss Moa like 3 times in a row including her practically falling down from crying is beyond me. Sakura Gakuin is an expression of pure joy; and it goes way beyond just BabyMetal. Although sadly it is supposed to come to end end next August, the 36 girls who have performed with Sakura Gakuin will have given us eleven years of wonderful entertainment. Many of them will continue to thrive as singers, dancers, models, and actresses. You have just scratched the tip of the iceberg with Su, Yui, and Moa. Definitely check out the speeches, you're going to cry, I am going to cry, we are all going to cry. My heart hurts already. The "crying girl" you're referring to is probably Moa, she barely even sang this song, because as you'll see in the speech, she was an emotional wreck and honestly my heart can't take it. Also, you can totally get around your "one bias per group" rule by saying Su-Metal is your Sakura Gakuin bias and Moametal is your BABYMETAL bias. Problem solved.
This was Su’s graduation. She was the only one in her year so she should have been the only one leaving (this is the only time Sakura Gakuin did this and Su got a special appreciation party from the other members, which you should definitely watch). However, another girl, Mariri who is from Hiroshima like Su and trained with her before SG, had steady modelling work at home and so decided to stop making the commute to Tokyo for SG activates and graduated at this show too even though she could have had another 3 years in the group if she had wanted. To date, Mariri is the only member to leave early. For the one year she was in the group, Mariri was the tallest member despite being one of the youngest. To spot her, she’s the really tall one wearing a ribbon round her neck rather than a tie.

Only Su was Graduated the other girl i think was leaving to pursue her career elsewhere and had not being there that Long . It was even more emotional Because Su was a founder member and had always been there and was extremely popular with the other girls and teachers . They also did a supprise party for hèr where they made her a gift and song for her . Can not wait untill you watch the farewell speech seen it countless times and still fill up. 🤘😭🤘

At about 4:12 you talk about a "song for smiling"............they actually have a song with that exact title! The girl who runs up and hugs Su is no other than Nene Sugisaki. Still my all time favorite idol!
Sakura gakuin has many good songs, too bad the program is ending next year. Although I love queen su, I think Sakura gakuin 2013 was the best year musically and the songs from that year are so good. I recommend checking out some performances from road to graduation 2013.
I have two things to say about this... 1. If you come out this this smiling, you're not watching it properly. This is a gut-wrenching performance with Moa crying throughout and Yui breaking completely at the end. 2. Pausing takes you out of the moment and makes it a much less emotional piece. Pausing is the Devil. Stop pausing. When you do the speeches, PLEASE don't pause, just watch and read the subtitles and let the emotion run over you. I've seen other reactors in tears when doing it. I'm a 47yr old, 20 stone man and I cry every time I watch the graduation concert. Every. Single. Time. Also, make sure you do Su's speech first.
Although Sakura Gakuin isn't a 'real' school...the girls are always sad to leave....In America, kids can't wait to get out of school...in Japan they cry because they love school.....
I don't know japanese, or at very basic level at most, but _I love you all_ should be something like "Minna daisuki". This performance is one of the few I've seen Yui so emotional, she is usually like a robot but she is crying rivers at the end of this song. And Moa well, she is more passionate on everything, and here too. She is still dodging you when she was younger by the way xD You still have to get used how she looked as a child. When you go to do the speeches pick a day / time when you don't have anything pressing coming afterwards. The Onion Ninjas are especially potent then and will make it tough for you to concentrate on anything important for a bit afterwards.
"Aishiteru" isn't used that often. It's a more polite version of the commonly used "suki" or "daisuki" with a silent u. It means both "like" and "love". "Daisuki" is more used between friends and is more "youthful", while "suki" often has a bit more serious tone (which is contradictory because "dai" usually means big/large). But you won't find many adults who use "daisuki" when telling their partners they love them in a non playful way. Best example of the usage is here in this MGT performance when Nene Sugisaki goes to hug Su in the middle of the song (which is improvised every year who gets to hug the student president at the grad ceremony) and says "Su-chan ima made arigatou, daisuki da", which means translated "thank you (for everything) until now Su-chan, I love you".

You know I've been thinking about you and your journey through the foxhole and beyond. (maybe the fact I binged your 25 reactions in 2 days has something to do with it, but that's besides the point) And I think that reacting to the graduation stuff might be too early in your journey of the Sakura Gakuin part of the story. It would be like watching just the last half hour of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Yes you'll kind of get the point, but most of the impact will be lost because you missed the preceding 7 hours of backstory and adventures. You can only experience something for the first time once. (Unless your memory really is as bad as you sometimes claim it to be, in which case I am jealous) This is of course just my opinion and take it for what you want, but maybe ask your other Babymetal fans on Patreon what their opinion is on the matter. Personally I would suggest at least some bits of the Sakura Gakuin days so you at least know whom Su refers to and is referred by. The "other strange girl from Hiroshima", Mariri Sugimoto decided to leave Sakura Gakuin at the same time, and pursue a modeling career.
She's the only member who has ever decided to leave the group before she absolutely had to.
She was a regular attendee at later graduation concerts.
Mariri was next to Su when you paused after the confetti cannons went off.
'My Graduation Toss' is one of the two songs written and arranged for Sakura Gakuin by members of The Brilliant Green, Tomoko Kawase (Tommy february 6) and Shunsaku Okuda.
They were also responsible for 'Heart no Hoshi'. You haven't really seen kawaii, until you see the Forest Girl version of that song. : )

I wonder why my neighbors always start chopping onion the moment where Nene-don "breaks protocol" and tells Su she loves her in mid song. Moa crying her heart out literary the whole song, Yui breaking in the end, Mariri regretting leaving, Ooga Saki almost not being able to stand up because she's crying so hard and Su's super supportive face, carrying the young girls in the end.. This performance has so many powerful moments.
Su carried this performance, but it’s a testament to the talent and professionalism of all the girls that they were able to hold it together. It’s a big thing in SG that they all want to graduate with a smile. It doesn’t always work, but they do their best.
Su once made a promise to her choreographer that she would never cry onstage, and that helped her get through moments like this.

The difference between this one and the music video is crazy. This video makes me cry and the music video puts a huge smile on my face.
And there's so much more for you to see post 2014. Mathematica, My Road, and Carry On, to name a few. Mariri left at the same time as Suzuka. She graduated elementary school but didn't officially graduate from SG. She left three years early to persue a modelling career.
If you watch the final 30 minutes of this Graduation DVD what you'll see is Su putting forth effort to fight off the tears, not only for herself but for the other girls. You'll see her "over-the-top" happy in her actions trying to help everyone maintain their composure. She manages to hold it together herself, until the very end. After the graduation speech tearfest, in which most of the girls breaks down but Su still manages to hold it together, as they are walking off the stage Su stops, alone on the stage for her last goodbye as a SG member, she waves, turns to walk off stage, face down, and just looses it. It's only a very brief moment but you can see it happen. Backstage had to have been a mess of crying girls.
Graduation is in a sense a good occurence, but it is also a sad happening. In that sense it is very bittersweet. This was the very last performance of Suzuka with Sakura Gakuin. A final goodbye.
I also don't think UA-cam is the best format to even watch this as this whole DVD has been cut up more than cheap cocaine.

Just watching Moa part would be a very Babymetal fan thing to do, as you don't know the other members of course at this point in time. But do know that it is but one of the eleven farewell messages she received.

It's a Suzuka Solo she also sang in this graduation show.
Originally it was only Su who was graduating that day but Mariri Sugimoto, who only joined a year prior, decided a couple weeks earlier that she wants to leave SG to pursue a modeling career. So she left on that day too. This performance is pretty heartbreaking. You can see Moa and Yui (and other girls) losing it several times. For next week you can watch Su's graduation speech and either just a 2min video of moa saying her goodbyes or what I would recommend to you a video where all members say a few words including moa's goodbye.

Also, Su's voice did indeed falter but she made a point of never crying on stage, and she held up ! Backstage is another story...

In my world this may very well be the catchiest song ever written. It‘s strange how it manages to be happy and sad at the same time. You know emotions are strong when they make even Su‘s voice quaver.
I have only the utmost admiration for these girls. They are supergirls long before their graduation. Awesome entertainers and - even more important - human beings, every single one of them.
Well the goal is to become super ladies ! :-) So selecting them based on talent and then training them to be super girls first would definitely best the path.

Su promised herself she would never cry onstage to show she's a strong girl. But, the girls saw past that. They knew Su was the one who wanted to cry the most, but she would always hold it in for the sake of the other members. Even in this performance, she held it all in even if she almost broke when Nene broke off and hugged her. She kept smiling and enjoying the moment with her juniors for the last time of her stay in SG. This is obviously one of the charms of SG that drew people in aside from Babymetal. It's like you came to SG because of Babymetal, but you stayed for the fun of SG.

I's really moving. These girls are supposed to be actresses, idols and rivals but this performance shows REAL feelings and that is what gets me so much. I don't remember who said it but it's like their song "Friends", they compete for a place in the industry but at the end of the day they are friends. It's lovely and I'm one of those "fools" who cries every time I watch it so I wanted this to be my first reaction watched today :)

I have to imagine she was thinking of both Ayami and Yui.
Yui is such a brave girl, and keeps it together so well, all the way until the tinsel cannons goes off, at which point she just breaks down.
Thank goodness Saki was there with a big hug for her. I think that helped Yui to not just collapse.

The "crying girl" you're referring to is probably Moa, she barely even sang this song, because as you'll see in the speech, she was an emotional wreck and honestly my heart can't take it.
Also, you can totally get around your "one bias per group" rule by saying Su-Metal is your Sakura Gakuin bias and Moametal is your BABYMETAL bias. Problem solved.

This was Su’s graduation. She was the only one in her year so she should have been the only one leaving (this is the only time Sakura Gakuin did this and Su got a special appreciation party from the other members, which you should definitely watch).
However, another girl, Mariri who is from Hiroshima like Su and trained with her before SG, had steady modelling work at home and so decided to stop making the commute to Tokyo for SG activates and graduated at this show too even though she could have had another 3 years in the group if she had wanted. To date, Mariri is the only member to leave early.
For the one year she was in the group, Mariri was the tallest member despite being one of the youngest. To spot her, she’s the really tall one wearing a ribbon round her neck rather than a tie.
Yeah , the appreciation surprise for Su is a definite must see .

Only Su was Graduated the other girl i think was leaving to pursue her career elsewhere and had not being there that Long . It was even more emotional Because Su was a founder member and had always been there and was extremely popular with the other girls and teachers . They also did a supprise party for hèr where they made her a gift and song for her . Can not wait untill you watch the farewell speech seen it countless times and still fill up.

At about 4:12 you talk about a "song for smiling"............they actually have a song with that exact title! The girl who runs up and hugs Su is no other than Nene Sugisaki. Still my all time favorite idol!
"I love you" in Japanese is "daisuki" (pronounced like "die-ski").
Sakura gakuin has many good songs, too bad the program is ending next year. Although I love queen su, I think Sakura gakuin 2013 was the best year musically and the songs from that year are so good. I recommend checking out some performances from road to graduation 2013.
"I love you" in Japanese is either "Aishiteru" (the second "i" is silent) or "daisuki" (the "u" is silent)
But aishiteru is very rarely used. Daisuki is your safest best.
I have two things to say about this...
1. If you come out this this smiling, you're not watching it properly. This is a gut-wrenching performance with Moa crying throughout and Yui breaking completely at the end.
2. Pausing takes you out of the moment and makes it a much less emotional piece. Pausing is the Devil. Stop pausing.
When you do the speeches, PLEASE don't pause, just watch and read the subtitles and let the emotion run over you. I've seen other reactors in tears when doing it. I'm a 47yr old, 20 stone man and I cry every time I watch the graduation concert. Every. Single. Time. Also, make sure you do Su's speech first.
Although Sakura Gakuin isn't a 'real' school...the girls are always sad to leave....In America, kids can't wait to get out of school...in Japan they cry because they love school.....
I don't know japanese, or at very basic level at most, but _I love you all_ should be something like "Minna daisuki".
This performance is one of the few I've seen Yui so emotional, she is usually like a robot but she is crying rivers at the end of this song. And Moa well, she is more passionate on everything, and here too. She is still dodging you when she was younger by the way xD You still have to get used how she looked as a child.

When you go to do the speeches pick a day / time when you don't have anything pressing coming afterwards. The Onion Ninjas are especially potent then and will make it tough for you to concentrate on anything important for a bit afterwards.
You'd probably really enjoy the compilations of them from this era before babymetal broke off as its own supergroup

This also was the first year for this song. Ayami Muto, the other third of Karen Girls with Su was 22 months older and had already graduated.
"Aishiteru" isn't used that often. It's a more polite version of the commonly used "suki" or "daisuki" with a silent u. It means both "like" and "love". "Daisuki" is more used between friends and is more "youthful", while "suki" often has a bit more serious tone (which is contradictory because "dai" usually means big/large). But you won't find many adults who use "daisuki" when telling their partners they love them in a non playful way. Best example of the usage is here in this MGT performance when Nene Sugisaki goes to hug Su in the middle of the song (which is improvised every year who gets to hug the student president at the grad ceremony) and says "Su-chan ima made arigatou, daisuki da", which means translated "thank you (for everything) until now Su-chan, I love you".

You know I've been thinking about you and your journey through the foxhole and beyond. (maybe the fact I binged your 25 reactions in 2 days has something to do with it, but that's besides the point)
And I think that reacting to the graduation stuff might be too early in your journey of the Sakura Gakuin part of the story. It would be like watching just the last half hour of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Yes you'll kind of get the point, but most of the impact will be lost because you missed the preceding 7 hours of backstory and adventures.
You can only experience something for the first time once. (Unless your memory really is as bad as you sometimes claim it to be, in which case I am jealous)
This is of course just my opinion and take it for what you want, but maybe ask your other Babymetal fans on Patreon what their opinion is on the matter.
Personally I would suggest at least some bits of the Sakura Gakuin days so you at least know whom Su refers to and is referred by.
