Reminds me of my uncle Donnie - lived on the Isle of Skye, where I still live, and was a bachelor and had a wee Highland Terrier called Lachlan. This wee dog was his pride and joy and he loved him so much. Uncle, (actually my great Uncle), Donnie was a lovely, kind and funny man and seeing him with Lachie always made my day. He wouldn’t feed him dog food - he’d buy high quality meat from the butcher and would cook it up for the wee fella. Seeing Lachie eat prime rib-eye steak made me jealous! Anyway, that was his “baby” and he showered love and affection on that wee dog until he passed away. Thankfully, the dog died only a few months before Donnie - had Lachie lived and been sent to someone else I think he would’ve been lost.
Marjorie rocks. Love it she name her cats after musicians Carlos Santana, Grace Slick, Boz Scaggs, Steve Miller, 3 Members of Tower of Power, and Jerry Garcia. I miss Mom!
