Found that connector on esc that goes to motherboard has one pin burned in middle same damage visible ont that flat cable. So prowbly new esc and flat cable, I hope that fixes it
Hi rebreaker! Its now march 8, 2020 and is there already findings from dji why your mavic having this issue? Just curious coz the same issue my mavic has for a month now. I did all the calibrations including calibrating the sensors using assistant 2. But the issue remain. Would be glad to hear from you how dji solve it if they already had.
Hi JUAN, the cause of the behavior has not been found to this day. I did all kinds of calibrations and a LOT experiments (based on posts on MavicPilots.com) none of the above showed where the problem is. You can read the whole topic at: mavicpilots.com/threads/mavic-pro-vision-sensors-issue-unpredictable-behavior.67650/ When brett8883 (guy at mavicpilots) suggested a hardware issue at some point of our discussion and did not help me further I ended up with a purchase of brand new compass units (both the front and the rear & GPS unit). The both boards lies next to my desk a couple of months because I am disgusted a bit to this day. People have same problems with the Mavic as me, DJI denials the problem and nobody can solve the issue. If the replacement of the both compass units helps, I surely will do a video about it and if not I am afraid that the bird is doomed and a grand or more money plus a hundred bucks for the replacement compass units will be through the window... Try dig some information by yourself, but I am afraid that the situation around the issue hasn't changed much. If you find something let me know...
Right now i just ignore the problem and keep flying with my bird with the front sensors off. I have the feeling the problem has something to do with the processor coz when the bird is still cold the sensors are on but once its getting warm sensors are gone. I have in mind replacing the lower main board which is quite expensive. I found on ebay cost around $200 +30 on import tax going here in malaysia. Im satisfied with this mavic and wants to keep it so im willing to do that bit expensive restoration.
I have no issue with compass but before i notice my bird flying a bit out of allignment with the controller. Flying straight but its head maybe 10 degres off to the left. This later i solve by compass calibration and remote controll calibration. Now what is not yet solve is the sensors both front and bottom issue.
Hi rebreaker! Do you still have your mavic pro? And still having that problem? Well, i have good news to share with you here coz i finally found where is the problem of my mavic and maybe you can give it a try too coz we share the same problem dude😃😃😃
First, turn on the drone and when all the datas are seen in the screen and take note of data reading on the very bottom left corner of the rc screen which measures the distance of the drone from the ground. Sometimes there is a reading right after all datas appear but not long and it is gone right? When it is gone the front vision sensors does not work also. Now, turn off the drone and unscrew the bottom plate which is the heat sink and remove it. Turn on the drone again and when all datas are ready and it is ready to gi, lift the drone with your hand up in the air. That data on that bottom left corner will stay there as it should. Now, as you are holding the dron up in the air, put slowly and gently the heat sink back and also all the screw. When you do that you will notice the data on that corner of rc screen disappear. Now loosen up all the screw a bit and the heat sink too, the data will appear again on screen.
Juan good job, I do drone repair and have had a few where though the calibration worked and no errors the bottom sensors didn't seem to work and it slammed on the ground if not careful. after reading your fix, I realized the thermal paste being even, not to thick and all the screws in place solved the issue on one drone I just rebuilt. I have more mainboards here I marked "bottom sensor issue" will be checking them all again, thanks from orlandodronerepair.com
hi my name is armin do u use whatsup and or mesenger viber etc becouse i have wird problem my front vision sensors nonstop active while backwards sensors not activating . i have alot of to ask pls will pay u back
Hi Eric! This is Juanderwan and im just using my 2nd youtube account. Glad my fix hav helped u. But actually my problem that time didnt stop from there. Its like sickness that i only cure the symtom but not the cause. In my case the real problem was the ribbon flat cable from the camera/front sensors board connecting to the mainboard at the bottom caused the problem. I changed the flat ribbon cable for the 2nd time since this isseu came up but the problem still there until i found a good remedy: i cutted a small piece of hard plastic about 1 cm and placed it on to top of the flat ribbon cable, placed the bottom cover (heat sink) and put all the screws back. Since then i nver got this issue anymore. But i had to replace that plastic i put on top of the flat ribbon from time coz it shrink since its plastic and the mainboard produce heat when dron is in use. I got tired from always changing and now i replaced the plastic with an alloy. May be this particular connection on the mainboard has loose contact that when i applied little pressure by adding something on top before placing all the bottom shell screws back it made contact again. Im not a technician just a hobbiest but my problem since then and til now fixed. Cheer!
My drone has a couple issues every flight
- Compass Error
- Gimbal Error (Freakout)
- Forward vision sensor calibration error
- Downward vision sensor calibration error
- GPS Error
- Sonar system is broken.
