I just came across this video and showed it to my friend who gives a lot of bath and body gift sets and her response: "I need those boxes". This is a game changer and total upgrade rather than the cellophane gift bags. Needless to say, I will be making several of these for her for birthdays, Mother's Day, etc. Thank you for sharing this project.
9/22/23: This is the perfect box I need to house some various glittered colored high heel shoes (a x-mas ornament) which I plan to put in with a pair of earrings. What a wonderful presentation (and x-mas gift) it will be with some decorative paper around it and being able to view it through the acetate window. I'm so glad I stumbled upon this project. It doesn't come any better than this. Thanks again for your creativity and talent. The things I learn from you and what I can do with it is incredible. 😊 Edited with: How wonderful of you to be so thoughtful to consider those who do not (like myself!) have a die-cutting machine.
Yes thank you a lot of utubers don't remember some of us are beginner crafter and can't afford every tool at once , so thank you for thinking about us ,may you have a beautiful blessed day, stay strong stay blessed
I am smiling from ear to ear 😃😃😃😃. Thanks so much for doing this for me. I really wanted to have something special for them. You have made that possible. Thanks again. You are a jewel 💎 and most of all to you are one of those who has been given such a special gift from the Lord. 😊😊😊❤️❤️❤️
So cute, and simple. Thank You, I really appreciate you thinking of us who don't have all the new items to make projects and how you show the way to do it without them. You always have beautiful paper to use on your project.
This is a very nice multi purpose box Sherry. Thank you for caring about us who don't have all those tools, I appreciate you for sharing how to without them. 🦋🙂❤
I found you a week ago and have watched so many of your tutorials. I love them all so much! Than so much for sharing! You are indeed a treat as someone else posted!
THANK YOU SHERRIE I have a die cut machine and I cannot always put things through it i would damage my paper so this is versatile it also make it so that you can craft on the go for that is how we all started years before dies and machines came along I have been crafting from 4 years old I embroidery I made paper craft to decorate the house at Christmas time I made doll dresses etc. at my mothers feet. there are times when we need to be reminded how we started and the knowledge we have on our memory shelves. blessings to you I will use this for a Christmas craft/ artist sale Lois in the Caribbean
Beautiful!!! I make bath and body products but became frustrated with the pricing for boxes like this. Now I can do it myself. Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing your awesome gift! God bless!
Hi, Sherry another pretty project, Ihave a sick sister have to take care of, hate i can,t watch your tutorial,s like i use to, keep doing what god gifted you to do ok. keep me in your prayer,s ok, tfs. god bless.
Love it! TY for showing how to do without a die cutting machine. I think these would be great also with a miniature stuffed animal for children's hospital. So many creative ways to use. TFS
This is perfect for sharing homemade treats with my co-workers during the holidays! Even though it's early September, I'm already planning my Christmas crafts. Thanks so much for the idea.
It a cute box thank you for sharing you are a fantastic teacher and thank you for thinking of people like myself that doesn’t haven’t a Die cutting machine
Very nice! Love the acetate window. I just watched The Paper Pixie make one for a single mini lotion and now yours holds lotion and spray. I’m set with the boxes I’ll need for gifts this year! TFS!
Sherry, this is such a sweet sized box and I love the acetate window. You make it look so easy peasy. The outcome is just lovely. I'll be making this box for so many uses. 💙
Hi there from Scotland. I love the box, infact I like everything you make. Can you tell me where you get the feet that you put on a lot of your things.
adorable little box. I have never seen the finger blade before....looks like a handy tool to have...might have to get myself one. Does it stay sharp for a long time?
Your projects are inspiring many of us to create next level packaging. THANK YOU! Can you tell us what you do with the chip board cut outs you have that you cut out for acetate windows. Do you reuse them in another project or discard them.
I am a relatively new subscriber and I am learning so much from watching you Sherry even though I have been crafting myself for several years. Thank you so much, you are a super tutor. Do you have an easy "formula" for working out the difference between the measurements of the base and lid for a box that would help when making one to fit different items?
Beautiful box! Could do a lot with that particular one. I had to laugh at myself when you pulled out your glue and I said to myself...she is using her crocodile glue and then you said reptile glue and it cracked me up!!! Lol!!!
OK another keeper! You are very adept with that finger blade! I'm going to buy me one of those! I'm going to pick up the glue also what weight is the chipboard? Thanks again for sharing!
You've done it again, Sherry! Another beautiful box, just in time. I needed a box to hold 2oz bottles of shower gel & lotion that I plan on making for Christmas gifts. I'd also like to make 6oz bottles; how difficult is it to modify the measurements for that? I'm so glad I found your channel, Sherry. Tfs your creative gifts w/us. Blessings & Peace
I have recently subscribed to your channel and have not been disappointed! I have to ask....how many times have you jabbed yourself with that finger blade? I know my less than graceful self and can see me looking like a pincushion.
I've been looking for DIY Projects for Christmas gifts and this is a wonderful gift box I would like to do. My question is do you have a link for a template for this box? Thank you for sharing your videos.
Love your videos! Please help me, I’m needing a window box 9x 6x1 3/4 that holds 2 decorated sugar cookies that are about 4 inches wide. Thank you for all your videos 😊
Hi Rose, I am so glad you are enjoying my videos. Unfortunately I don’t offer customer fit services. I do have plenty of boxes and windows boxes in my library that you might find suitable. Sherry
@@ThePoshPaperLady my pleasure. Do you have any 5x7x2 inch box tutorial you can point me to of yours? Perferably with some sort of a window lid to house spa gifts?
Oh Sherry, I am getting nothing else done as I have become addicted to your wonderful videos. I am in Australia and it isn't possible to get Reptile glue anywhere here so would you be kind enough to tell me your next favourite glue so that I can start a search for it please? Amazon Australia doesn't even carry it grrrr.
Hi, paper selection is the choice of the individual crafter. I chose to use that side of the paper because that is the side I wanted to use. The purpose of the video was to show a process for making a box, not paper selection. All too often the viewer loses sight of the video’s purpose and focuses on embellishments, paper choices and other things that are not relevant to the actual paper crafting process being taught. I hope you don’t find my comments offensive, they are not intended to be. This is the same instruction I give to my students during live classes...focus on the process and then you can decide how to dress the box once you’ve mastered the process. Thanks😀
Thank you for answer. I am so cost minded that I would use the pretty side. Made 3 of these boxes this afternoon when finished watching your MAGIC FINGERS. Didn't mean to be mean with my question, hope you didn't think so. Virginia.

I just never imagined that a mere box could be made diy so beautifully! Thanks also for making it using simple tools too. It makes it possible for those like me that are new to papercrafting. You are an excellent educator and I so appreciate your skilled and organized presentations! I wish all videos here were as organized yet as complete as yours! You hit that prefect balance between content and efficiency! I can't believe how many presenters don't even have all their tools ready and actually film themselves looking in drawers for supplies or the new trend where they just use music and and have no verbal instructions!
