Godzilla Minus One expands on the themes that were already in the 1954 movie. It also happens to be more realistically grounded compared to the 1954 movie
Another movie Godzilla Minus One references a lot is Godzilla, Mothra, and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack (GMK). Specifically the GMK Godzilla, both of them were very malicious towards humans, both have atomic breaths that can create a mushroom cloud, and both Godzillas were defeated at sea.
5:40 Actually, Godzilla never ate a train in the original film. He step down on the track, the train crashed into his foot and then he picked a train car up with his mouth and dropped it on the track. He never ONCE ate a train in the original film.
I feel like the story of the 1954 Godzilla could translate to minus one in the fact that maybe minus one had more Godzillas but they died due to the Hiroshima bomb and just a theory but when Godzilla had destroyed Ginza it looked as if he stared at the mushroom cloud and filled with the remembrance of his species death let out a pained roar and proceeded to walk away in sorrow
Ok but what if minus one’s pre-radiated form at the beginning of the movie fought Gorjia? Let’s say for the battle they are both around the same size, Gorjia has been known to handle more fast and agile foes such as shown in his battle with OG Ang in Godzilla Raids Again so that plus the atomic breath should let him defeat mini minus pretty easily but if he fought minus one’s final form it would be a much different story, Gorjia roughly being the same size as minus one would still be a huge challenge for him and minus one would most likely over power him with sheer strength, even if Gorjia’s atomic breath does anything against him he would be able to regenerate in mere minutes and would most likely respond with his own much stronger atomic breath destroying Gorjia entirely…and I would recommend him doing just that since minus one wouldn’t like it if a few years later his old foe’s remains get used for a mechanical kaiju…one who’s new anger would rival that of minus one’s towards humans.
After watching the film again there are many similarities with both the 1954 and GVK films. He destroyed a theatre and a train just like in the 54 film and his death and the final scene are both very similar to Godzillas death and ending of GVK
My only issue is the continuity issue of ppl knowing who Goji is by the end of Minus One and being clueless who he is in the 1954 movie. I don't think there's a coverup big enough to hide Godzilla stomping around Japan, even in 1947 "Zero" Japan.
(WARNING: A WHOLE LOT OF YAP AHEAD, ONLY CLICK READ MORE IF YOU WANNA READ SOME STUPID TEENAGER’S TAKE ON THIS!!!) Minus One is essentially just a remake with a few differences. It maintains the original message of how horrid the nuclear bomb is and uses this force to show just how destructive it is and how much effort must be put to remove the issue and repair the effects. In Minus One, it begins as a dinosaur-like creature which simply seemed to be territorial and likely marked all of Japan as such. After Crossroads Baker was conducted, he was horribly mutated and like enraged and in some level of pain and with it’s more simplistic and animalistic mindset, it simply went to the nearest land which as the character theorize, is also it’s territory and saw the detonation as an attack, a retaliation. In both, the creature is very animal-like and with the destruction of the nuclear bomb in mind, they wanted him to be more powerful than any living creature has any right to be. I also believe that they made Minus One like this for two reasons. One: The series is becoming a little campy, it is just another genre of superhero/anti-hero movies but with kaiju instead of superpowered humans or humanoid beings. Two: They wanted to recreate the original with the more advanced technology available today. If that is the case, I believe they succeeded in both beyond anyone’s dreams. If you showed this to the cast and crew of the original movie, I am sure their minds would be blown and they would be proud to see what has become of it.
godzilla minus one is very good giant monster movie. but, attack of titans and godzilla s.p is very worst show! so,i hated toho and bones and orange! and, toho's gransazer is very worst!

If Godzilla minus 2 doesn’t have anguirus, we riot
What if angurius is in Godzilla minus one 2? It would make it look like it was trying to be like the 1955 Godzilla raids again movie
Yeah we need a remake of raids again
Good job

Is it just me or is Godzilla’s favorite thing to attack trains
Basically every kaiju film except pacific rim maybe attack trains

My guy these are 2 separate films. There is no continuity between 1954 and Minus One.
@@ASimpleGodzillaFan Tell that to the guy making the vid and putting "The same?" On the thumbnail, when I just pointed out the main issue with it. 🙄
@@dubuyajay9964 Ah, I see what you're saying now. My mistake.
